Not many winching videos! I would suggest a longer 4" strap so you can double choke, or do another rig called a timber choke.

Hehe, yeah it would be much easier. But then again the time to load and transport etc. the winch was quicker.

I definitely feel safer pulling heavy loads with rope. You don't have to worry about lashback recoil.

I am about to do similar, to clarify--do you mean rope or strap? I saw there is specific recovery rope, round rope, and the ordinary flat tow strap.

Good job 👍🏻 cool video just a suggestion on Clevis when you tighten it tighten all the way then loosen 1/4 turn. When you pull on those they can bind & hard to unscrew. Just a suggestion. Be safe 👍🏻

I use heavy duty steel carabiners whenever possible. There is link to them in the description of the vid 🙌
