I've had my PowerPull for over 27yrs, it has a steel 1/4 cable and its heavy, that synthetic cable looks to spool out way smoother and with no bird nesting :-) that might have to be an upgrade for mine
Thanks for the comment, they stand up to the test of time! Would highly recommend the AmSteel Blue Rope, it just needs a bit more care to look after thats all.
I will tell all of you. I've moved things weighing 30,000 pounds with the red one. They will handle way more than the rating. In fact, I use a 7/8" x 6' solid rod in mine for a handle.
It says in the instructions not to do this because the bending handle let's you know it's too heavy. Not criticizing, just letting you know in case you don't know already.
@@FourLowAdventures I have probably had over 100 of More Power Pullers. Never seen a factory handle in my life, besides a picture. I do use a solid rod for a handle. I keep one 2 1/2' long, and a 6' one with me, on my travels.
Definitely, wouldn't want to rely on it in a recovery situation! This video shows the cheap model being used trying to winch a ute with a handbrake on, basically - cant move it. The More Power Puller chips away fine by comparison. th-cam.com/video/vHpZ88BR7PY/w-d-xo.html
The only good thing about the small one is I will feel a lot less bad if someone steals it.
