Learning about those shells, clusters and rootless voicings is really going to help me start to get that sound I haven’t been able to previously achieve.. I can read a lead sheet with basic harmonies but it lacks that jazz sound that you have in those harmonies .. I think this will help me a lot so thank you 😊 💕🎶🎹

unfortunately not knowing harmony in classical music says more about the school you studied. I do believe jazz gives a more global view to it and more easy to transcribe but i knew a lot of harmony given by my piano teacher. but i understand most teacher wont teach it properly and the theory lessons in classical school are usually very high level and not very helpful
