Bard is a captain of the guard and led his archers in the fight against Smaug.
Also thank you for the Thror breakdown it's my first army I chose to play and honestly the army I like the most, just I have a custom lore with them being dwarves who stayed in the grey mountains.
(Obviously thror and thrain have been renaimed)

Finally getting to the Erebor Reclaimed part: quick reminder that to include Alfrid now, you need to include the Master or Bard - so allying him into an ER or IR list will be a point tax because you need Bard too...

Thought I’d submit this for review (posted yesterday on the last video but clearly that was far too late).
700pt, Minas Tirith / Fellowship:
37 models, 14 might, 5 bows.
My take:
Strengths: Heroic offensive output, solid troops in reasonable numbers, bodyguard units, good mobility.
Weaknesses: magic, high defense.
Deals with weaknesses by: Multiple threats, lances.
1. Boromir of Gondor (Fellowship version) with shield and horse
2. (General): Faramir with horse, lance, shield, and heavy armor.
Leading 9 knights of MT with shield
3. Captain of Minas Tirith with shield
Leading 11 citadel guard (5 with longbow) and a WoMT with banner/shield/spear
4. Ingold
Leading 12 WoMT (7 with spear and shield, 5 with shield)
An alternative list (less competitive I think but also less serious, more fun) swaps out Boromir, Faramir, and the Captain for Gandalf the White and Denethor and almost identical troops. Might be an interesting comparison:
700pt Pure Minas Tirith
36 models, 6 might, 5 bows, 9 mounted models
1. Gandalf the White on Shadowfax
Leading 8 Knights of MT (7 with shield)
2. (Leader) Denethor
Leading 12 citadel guard (5 with bows) and 1 WoMT with banner, spear, and shield

Leading 12 WoMT (6 spear/shield, 6 shield)

One thing to mention: You can't take a captain and Alfrid any more without Bard or the master as per FAQ.

i am new to the corsairs but i really like them and if you could talk how to use them, especially arbalesters, and other usefull tactics
* should i consider reavers or focus on regular guys plus arbalesters - i tried one game with reavers and all got shot by archers, before i managed to engage with them.
also i had problems with moving the arbalesters in right position to shoot, i left them behind , or my army got fragmented and i lost my number advantage.
Is it possible to play without Suladan - and add another captain or Bosun with reavers ?

Good episode guys,
I have had good success with Army of Thror allying in Iron hills. Murin and Drar bringing crossbows and goat riders add great synergy. Both army bonus add a lot of options. Also greatly increases your might count
Any reason Dain isn't brought along instead?
@@SonsOfGondor1 they have 6 might but I agree that taking Dain is better
Curious about whether you guys think including Dori with Bilbo in a Lake-town list would be good? F5/3A troop killer who allows you to Strike 4 times with Bilbo (even while wearing the Ring)?
If you see children, don't shoot them like. Just hit them.

Theoden on armoured horse with heavy armour and shield.
8 Rohan Royal Guards on horse with throwing spears.

2 Warriors of Rohan: 1 with bow.

Eomer on armoured horse with shield.
Warband Four:
Gamling on horse with Rohan Royal Standard.
Warband Five:
Dernhelm.
Warband Six:
Deorwine on horse.
20 Models.
7 Heroes.
18 Might.
4 bows.
FYI, the Elven cloak got erratad to be 5pts... list needs cavalry (only have 2 Marches for speed)
Good note about the errata. Seems like taking out the Sentinel is certainly essential then to even help Legolas get the horse
I hate to be a bother, but did you have to purchase 2 boxes of each infantry for Thror?

i was testing out bringing the goblin drum for courage 5 within 6" of Druzhag but the fact that it isnt also a war drum, and my lack of goblins make it less worthwhile
also not sure about taking the 2 captains or grouping the warbands together under 1 captain with an extra batswarm..?
My son wants to learn Angmar, here's the 700pt list I'm looking at teaching him - any modifications you recommend? He likes fell beasts (I've omitted for model count, is that worth it?).

I 36:10 I think that you can only bash models that are as big as a human or smaller so can you acualy knock down a nazgul fro a fellbeast?

eyy another gildor user! i like using these two and elendil in my 800 point list.
but id say the wood elves are very squishy especially when they cost an extra point and youre not going to get that much benefit from the move 8.. i take a couple with bows for the elven cloaks and some objective players, and 3 knights in my 650 point list with elrond and gildor at 30 models
