Hello Sunshine is dedicated to female authorship across all storytelling platforms, including film, television, books, social videos, and audio. The media company is founded by Academy and Emmy Award-winning actress, producer, and entrepreneur Reese Witherspoon.
We’re excited to connect women (and men) to narratives told from a distinctively female perspective. We want the growing Hello Sunshine community of creators and audience members to feel seen and heard. Whether our audience identifies with a character from our book pick or with the heroine (or villain) from our TV shows, or strikes up a conversation sparked by our videos, Hello Sunshine’s mission is to show women as the flawed and often complicated heroes of their own stories. Hello Sunshine - the story starts with you.

I was sexually abused by my "cousin" when I was 9. My "aunt" knew, she knew what was happening (these people were relations to my mother's step mom). It has taken me to now at 44 to realise the impact and shame it's had on my life. I was too ashamed of my body to have an actual relationship how pathetic is that. I think I need to read this book. Apologies for the ranting but love Jameela take on body confidence. I don't think you realise the how big your influence is over and above the followers. Thank you.

It is not pathetic. Everyone figures things out on their own time, dont knock yourself down, accept that you are where you are, and go in the direction of where you want to be next.

I hated the book the 1st time I read, ans gave a low score on good reads. Recently I read again through quarantine, and felt so seen and uplifted. Such a brilliant book.

The book is amazing, but difficult to read. I also loved Bad Feminist, lots of laughter and seriousness, interesting and thoughtful and funny and everything in between.

I read book on Auschwitz at the age of 11 from then known Wanganui Park High School Library in 1982. My thoughts at time was that my life is not so bad. It was the diary of Jewish doctor. Tough yes and now more than ever so true of all reality 💞

No matter in which part of the world you live, there will always be oppression in the form of racism, casteism, gender inequality, bullying etc...Unless humans are taught to be empathetic right from child hood, this won't change. SCARLETT LOST IN THE FIVE LANDS by Rajendra Sarilla talks about racism and bullying in a fantasy world filled with magic and mayhem. It has powerful female characters with a female lead and mind blowing war scenes.

Hello You!!!! How could I remember your name? I've only seen a glimpse of you in that Carnival Location everyone else seems to know about. But your face I've ever forgotten.
    Thanks for that.
