- On the night of April 8th, 1914, A. Crowley, a wealthy, well known British occultist was sitting at his desk in Egypt writing down the first chapters of his book when he heard a voice whispering behind him.
Over the next 5 days what happened was frightening and disturbing.
After Crowley’s death in 1953 one of his estranged adult daughters was given some of his possessions. Among them was a small locked box. When she was able to open the box she found some written notes from those 5 days, he’d kept them hidden from everyone over the years.

@@John-uv1pd All his children were conceived after 1920. There were two daughters who died in infancy, a stillborn daughter, a son born in 1937 who survived and died in a car crash in 2002, and a fourth daughter who survived and is still living based what I was able to find.
He did suffer a lot of ill health most of his adult life. He contracted syphilis from frequent sexual encounters with prostitutes while attending Cambridge. He was also addicted to heroine and cocaine.

When my late father was a young 'entered apprentice' Freemason, the Worshipful Master of the Lodge who did the initiation was Aleister Crowley. Dad also worked with him in London.
WOW, have you any relatable story's...of either men. Bet you have of your dad. I have a horrific one regarding my father, who was in Military Police, sent to Kenya to hunt out the Mou Mou. He had a curse put upon him while in Africa. A reoccurring nightmare would often plague him of being buried alive. He made me promise to have him cremated, the only family member not to be buried in the traditional old way.
This is so interesting, Crowley was no angel and he did make a lot of unspeakable things in the course of his life, but in everything I've read about him, Crowley did not consider himself to be a black magician nor to pursue the dark arts, furthermore by January 14th 1914 Crowley was living in Paris with his lover Victor Neuburg and by May he was back at Boleskine house in Scotland then in October that year he arrived in New York, also and despite having a vast collection of lovers, Crowley was married only twice in his life, to Rose Kelly, 1903-1909 with whom he went on to have 2 daughters, Nuit Ma Ahathoor Hecate Sappho Jezebel Lilith (born in July 1904, died in Spring 1906) and Lola Zaza (born in 1906) and Maria Sanchez (1929) with whom he had no children. He also had a son born out-of-wedlock when he was 53 but I don't recall any "Grace" with whom he may had a child so the argument that after his death his daughter found the lost written account about this story is compelling and fascinating even more when his daughter Lola Zaza disowned his father as an adult.

I knew Crowley was a warped and nasty fellow, but had no idea what a despicable excuse for a human he truly was. Too bad Balam didn't punish him for his failure to commit a such evil against his unborn child and devoted wife. Is the daughter who cut him off perhaps this same child?

I actually believe that Crowley was FAR from the most evil of men/women. I’m not talking about the evil world leaders, or even serial torture/killer/rapists, etc. I’m referring more to certain folks that are either members of the “establishment” (Illuminati), folks like Jimmy Saville (who are DEFINITELY more evil than Crowley ever was), and others that you just don’t ever hear about…
Crowley just wasn’t a killer, though he was indeed all sorts of other things that are quite unsavory, to say the least…

Crowley practiced his own style of Enochian magic plus supposedly a ritual from Abremelin the Mage which is seen in the movie A Dark Song. Needless to say he probably didn't care much about what happened to him. It's said he cracked open one of the watchtowers talked about in Enochian magic creating a gateway for the demonic to pass into this realm.

As i sit here listening to your story, its scary to think that there are people out there who would of done what was asked of them. Im glad that Crowly never did kill his wife and child. He was half way through a spell that took many days to complete when he was disturbed i read that in a book it involved really bizzare and sadistic acts that it took tremendous effort and willpower ,mad or not he took his quest to raise evil very seriously and for the life of me i cannot remember what the spell was

Oh, this is related to ‘The Family’. I like the subtlety in your anthology. It’s more akin to say Lovecraft, where each story contains vague similarities and recurring themes, rather than it being an obvious series. It’s more intriguing that way.

What gets me is some people pick to live in hell! But everytime I'm watching a near-death experience if somebody if you have experienced hell. And it scared them so bad they yelled for Jesus, and he plucked them up into his arms and they were so relieved. It takes a special demon to live with the devil and even they don't like it. The devil hates his minions just like he hates people. There is nothing but hate and darkness. It's too late for them to yell for Jesus as they've made their choice.
Sadly so. I don't know how these people can sleep at night. Nothing is worth losing your soul. Nothing

This was well done fiction mixed with some truth.
There was an occultist named A. Crowley, but in 1914 he was having a fling with his bisexual male partner, he was never near Egypt during this time, and he never had a partner/wife named Grace, although he did have multiple sexual partners and several wives.
What a sick man. To want to unleash evil on the world. Thing is evil already exists in the world. He would not have reigned in hell. He would be tortured for all of eternity there.

A disturbing true story I recently uncovered was about the “Mad Butcher of Kingsbury Run: The Cleveland Torso Murders”. An unsolved case of a serial killer whose spree ran from 1934 to 1938, and is quite frightening. If you haven’t already, you should check into it.

“The wickedest man alive” influenced many, who in turn influenced so many. They still worship and try to mimic him to this day, although I’m thinking about now, ol Alister is wishing he had taken the other road.
I’m going to have to disagree with the end of the story. He actually did speak and write about the “dark arts” many times. He actually called it s*x majik”. That’s all I will say about that disgusting, sick subject. He actually signed off his writings and letters as “the beast 666”.

I had taken a vast interest in Alister Crowley after I heard the song Mr. Crowley from Ozzy Osbourne. I started reading about him and was very intrigued by him. When I heard that Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin bought his mansion I was even more excited exited! After strange things were happening to him and the band, he got the hell out of there, now even selling it, just broke out????

I read at Crowley's deathbed He tried to beg forgiveness from almighty Lord above, he was scared. When people are frightened they want forgiveness but your attitude and reasoning count a lot as to your intention it's what means everything is it selfless or selfish ?
