  • Traxxas SLASH Motor BURNT! - How to fix it
    So we were just playing around with our rc cars and then we saw smoke coming out! One of my first thoughts was "I gotta record this!". So I did. just in time. It's sad that this happens but it is fixable. And in this video, I show you how to fix it. The titan motor is not a bad motor though, it just needs proper maintenance. Enjoy!

    Hey man. I'll let you be the first to know, I've done a little research and I'm gonna do the Dynamite 540 brushed motor in my slash. They are cheaper and faster then the regular motor, direct fit. Dynamite is known for speed

    When the motor burns up just go brushless after that. Don't get me wrong, I still run brushed at times, however not all the time. EBay specials for brushless are not that expensive these days, that's what I would go with. I have a rustler 2wd that has a hobbywing system and sometimes run it day to day, no problems, just don't overgear, check temps at times and enjoy.

      Yeah, we could do that, but the brushless is cheaper :)

      @@SpeedsterzRC I see, must have typed in error, I believe your intention was to type the brushed motor at this time is a cheaper option. I get it, well just trying to offer some options, sometimes brushed is all any ones needs and satisfied with and that's OK. I have been into RC for over 30 years and when I started out, brushed motors were the only option. The RC world has come a long way since then. Enjoy, and good day.

      @@SpeedsterzRC I recommend velineon over any of the chinese janky, poorly made SLOW (no offense) ebay options. Even at $45 a piece you're wasting your money you could save for a real velineon brushless setup

    You mever explained what was the problem causing your motor burnt? Mini Traxxas summit 775 motor burnt 2 times but I don't know the reason if its a spur gear adjustment or what ? any ideas ?

    • @SpeedsterzRC
      @SpeedsterzRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wasn't exactly sure how it burnt, it might have been because we were driving full throttle too long. Make sure your gears aren't too close and make sure to feel your motor every now and then when you drive.

      It's the poor quality of the motors traxxas uses. I have a 1 month old TRX6 and it burned the motor after two minutes of driving on flat ground in 1 inch of snow.

    • @nitrocell9287
      @nitrocell9287 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right. should be how to motor swap. I can almost guarantee you the problem was that the motor was not broken in first. burning up the brushes.
