I have badlands all around on my rustler vxl 2wd , definitely helps with steering and stability.

Not sure if this has been solved, but with the screw backing out. In the suspension arm. I solved the problem with threading the screw in from the other side. Fresh plastic for the threads. It seems to be working well on my rustler ultimate.

Got same tyres on all wheels of my Rustler. You need to get 3s lipo. Qtr throttle and still wheelies or backflip on flats at any speed, haven't got top speed yet as does over 70mph easy and wheelies easy.

I bought 2, one red, then it broke. Then I bought another one that is green for 65$ . Fixing would cost 30$ so I decided it would be better to just get a new one.

I disagree with all these I feel like these only happen to beginner drivers if you have experience with these trucks you should be fine

Do all the the Traxxas 2WD brushed XL-5 cars always need to have the blue antenna stick out of the body shell? Or can you keep them under the body shell when driving? thx

I have the non Vxl version and I have a upgraded motor that goes 80

The reason that they are using the pin adapters is just because it’s an old model that they didn’t update. The hexes came out later. I’m glad I found this video because I needed to see if the wheels were hex or not. Thanks!

Exactly! I have Wltoys 144001 is an awesome little car but VERY fragile.

I had bought a Wltoys 144001 before and the speed was really good for a brushed motor and can take 3s, but the durability and handling at high speeds was just terrible. I also agree, don't buy a Wltoys. Pay the extra 100 or so for a Traxxas. Parts are pretty expensive too for the Wltoys

you spent 800 dollars on those. Id rather just keep one rc car but thanks for your sacrifice to review these cars. duuude im about t cry

Which one out of the four in your opinion would be good first hobby rc for my 7, and 4 year olds boys? They’ve had plenty of cheap rcs but they want one like their dads, Stampede VXL, but we are going to start with the brushed. Im not sure which one would be best, probably the stampede, or maybe ever a slash or a rustler, cause we will be doing a lot of off-roading.

My motor started smoking and the next day I test ran it and it ran fine. should I still replace the motor?

Hey man. I'll let you be the first to know, I've done a little research and I'm gonna do the Dynamite 540 brushed motor in my slash. They are cheaper and faster then the regular motor, direct fit. Dynamite is known for speed

That being said, titan 12ts can be a lot of fun nothing wrong with doing a high speed gearing either

Don’t go nitro I used to race nitro years ago but electric is where it’s at I still have all my nitros but my stampede and rustler will smoke a nitro

Traxxas power up program exchange your old esc /moter half the price of buying alone

Maby you could do some more videos on how your trucks hold up to long term abuse
