    As a HVAC tech I approve of the video message. Not only is the gas pressure on sililiniod but on gv itself. You just forgot to say. Do NOT turn the little screws on adjustment screws to much or it will suddenly pop off and then you loose the tiny spring(s) under the adjustmen screws. Then spend next 100 years looking for them 😂

    You're outside working on package gas furnace possibly a commercial Rtu. But when working on residential furnace we have to set the gas pressure according to combustion analysis. Typically O2 should be 6-9%, CO under under 100 ppm, flue gas temp should be in spec depending what kind of furnace you have in combustion analysis. If it's a 2 stage heating. We run it individually and set pressures accordingly.

    In the early 2000's when we were installing Lennox.
    the G-61's,G-71's all had low settings on second stage.
    I dont think any were adjusted to 3.5. Which meant they were not heating efficiently.
    Since then I've checked every unit ,from every manufacturer, nd on more than half of what I've put in they all are to low.
    Great video for all the new guys ,nd a good tool to have in the service bag..

    Another fun fun fact, put the hose on inlet port, And you can find out if the gv is getting enough gas pressure to the gv from the gas manifold to run the gas furnace. 😂

    And did you clock the gas meter? All set to the 3.5 psi is not clocking gas meter for actual output compensation. But I only just started doing the clocking to ensure output. I still need/want to take a class taught by Jim Davis...... and buy a combustion analyzer......

      @@TaddyDigest love your free advice and learning techniques. I have learned everything on my own. Did not have a senior tech showing me the ropes for awhile. I was an installer and was asked to do service. Maintenance and these videos really kick started my career. Now I’m still learning a lot but am comfortable with working on heat pumps and gas furnaces. We also do commercial refrigeration as well so lots to learn. I deffinately will be watching more of your videos. Thanks taddy

    the real question is why would you own a two stage furnace. lol 1 btu is 1 btu

    • @TaddyDigest
      @TaddyDigest  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      most furnaces are over sized for homes so having a low stage heats the house and burns less gas while doing so

      @@sumdumguy4659 That is total nonsense the crap you spew. You are just as bad as this Teddy fella. A gas valve for a two stage vs a single stage is a few dollars and would be in warranty for the first 10-12 years. I also do this for a living and the business owner. And having a quality combustion analyzer will help dial in the settings especially for high altitude systems here in Denver. But the parts are certainly not more expensive.
