You can break a cross member from the stress or twist the trailer an also tear up the outer frame rails that was horrifying and very dangerous, I pulled everything from an RGN to s 13 axles I'm not saying I know everything but I did it for 21 1/2 years I wish whomever you bought the trailer from should of taken time to show you how to operate the trailer and some major safety things on loading and unloading. I hope you take my advice good luck on future journeys

I’ve taken loads of equipment over the side and not just little 10ton machines but 40 & 50 ton excavators if you can’t get on the site or special delivery order needs it
And when loading up get the machine well up to the point where it teeters over and just stil the arm out full it will put the machine on very easy no dragging the bucket on the ground etc don’t reverse load all ways look at the direction your going !

A 525 tune in that N14 should be boosting 33-35 lbs. you may have turbo issues. It shouldn’t be that low on power. Cummins built that motor specifically to give cat a run for their money. And when they’re tuned and running properly they’ll do just that. I’ve made a lot of cat guys really mad with my 99 N14 525. In fact the guy I’m leased to refuses to run with me in his 99 379 with a 2ws pushing over 600hp. He says my old western star makes his cat powered peterbilt look bad.

    Honestly Tim ?
You should know better than picking up the trailer that way .
If your claiming to do heavy haul then why didn't you just take a chain and hook it up on both side at the front and pick the trailer up nice and even.
.Don't use the bucket and then break air lines and other things like tool boxes.
Because your too lazy to pull out a chain ?
After all there should be 12 chains and 12 binders on the trailer .
Don't use those straps they don't hold the weight their claimed too...
A chain won't break like a nylon strap will. Personally I think they should be outlawed. I've seen way too many flatbeds lowboys, and even pulpwood / logging trailer with the load dropped because of straps.
Now why don't you install a proper set of rails on the semi - tractors your using to pull that manual lowboy trailer ? There not that expensive nor that hard to install ! And it doesn't stop you from pulling other trailers. But it seems you won't fix your semi-tractors that pull the lowboy for some reason ?
It seems that would be a serious mark against your D.O.T. inspections, because you can't unhook and reconnect that manual type lowboy trailer properly.
So instead of buying new pickup trucks, stupid looking drift cars that don't even sound like it shifts correctly and such.
GO BUY SOME RAILS and Install them on the SEMI Tractors that will pull that trailer !
    Damn man.
Go ask drivers who pull those same type of trailers ?
I've pulled those trailers as well and I've used cab overs and conventional semi tractors. I always had rails on them. Even when the truck was new ...
Why fight and tear up a tractor because of being cheap and stupid !!!

Been driving in B.C Canada for 36 years doing everything from Teaching Drivers, Low-beds of all kinds to oversize and everything in between Any road Any Load ;-), Moved Big iron of all kinds and Small over the years . Just wanted to give input on loading equipment on low beds over the back and side in order to help you be more efficient and safe, You strike me as the type of guy who loves to learn new things, Where i come from we help each other to Be better and safer Daily in both dry and adverse conditions as well. About the machine loading both input and reason for it as follows..Throttle position on machine : Should always be well above idle to get hydraulic pressure in case something goes wrong you need the machine to react fast to save your ass!, Don't be afraid to engage the running rabbit Lol, it will teach you to feather the controls more accurately, And trust me Tim you will be able to make the Iron talk eventually with knowing stick pressure and control Feathering!..Best practice in a excavator is grading, straight and turning left to right when doing it, it builds accuracy and smoothness in hand control. I have been in some situations in the wet and icey were the machine slid and i had to spin reach or stretch to save my bacon, And it won't do it at a Idle because it doesn't make much power powered down, So Words from a wise and Experienced Lowbed guy are to Never take that chance of Not being able to power out to correct a action!, Smaller iron is the worse because its lighter and bouncy as per a 365 450 or bigger Cat or JD. I like your style because you try to be easy on Iron and don't beat the crap out of it like some on youtube. Blocking: Get yourself some 8x8 blocs or what ever will fit under the front corners of the trailer to keep it from leaning and twisting when your walking off the side because sometimes you may get into a alley or a place where you cant stretch the stick over the other side onto the ground and may have to use the trailer to plant your bucket on the deck to do your final decent off the trailer after you spin around for the last time. And Tim don't be afraid to ruff up the deck Lol the wood lasts a surprisingly long time lol. And a rough deck holds the machine on better than a baby butt smooth one Lol We get 2 years out of a deck under regular use use the steel rails to your advantage that's why they are so wide..I am impressed by your boy Brax and how smooth he was on the clutch pinning the kneck back on lol, he will be a fine operator and is lucky to have you giving him that chance!, Now is the time to train him to be smooth and safe! keep up the good work!. Hope to see more of you and the boy on here. Oh and P.S. Tell Wifey we need to see more smiling for the Cam and less serious Lol, Laughs are very important to the viewers as well ;-). And say hi to Pops for me glad he is included in the vids life is to short to not have fun!.. Peace out from B.C Canada.

I love you have your son driving the rigs. But you probably shouldn't have him driving/towing a customer's boat. God forbid something happens. Your insurance will not cover the claim. Just a thought. Because you know the rule. If it can go wrong it will go wrong. God bless you and yours

This maybe a dumb question, But does anyone know what specific model of Peterbilt has the sleeper with two doors on the driver's side. Is it the 379x or just a special sleeper option? Thank you!

Pedal it for about 8 hours today. First ran than hit that snow. Nothing like chilling in the bunk and you a 40 minute video to watch. Keep doing you. To the people that actually believe his son is over worked or something this called learning. See Braxton will be able to change a flat tire. Trouble shoot a break down. All this before he gets his license. All of your kids with green hair and skin tight jeans will will be starting at their phone on the side of a highway.

That's the service brake line on that trailer. It should not have any air in it till you hit the brake peddle in the truck. It Most likely has a brake chamber bleeding Air from the emergency side to the service side. That with make it apply the brakes while you're not on the brakes!! Did you have any issues with the one of the brakes dragging or getting hot? That is assuming that was the blue service brake line leaking and the guy driving wasn't hitting the brakes

Tim there was a guy bragging about his 14 year old son"that was floating the gears in a Peterbilt with a 13 speed. I wish he could see what Braxton already knows how to do. Both kids are very impressive to watch! They are the ones that will be running this Country behind the scenes eventually, but will never get the credit that they deserve for doing it.

just noticed the new hair cut in frame 0:33/40:45. because i am quite a dab hand with clippers . maybe you could buy some hair clippers and let mrs gentry cut your hair or teach young braxton how to cut hair too it would be cheaper too. 👈👺👍
