This is a Beginners Guide to Catfish Fishing. This video is intended for someone new to fishing for catfish and not intended for experienced catfish fisher men and women. The video covers the basics of catfish fishing. It covers why you'd want to fish for catfish, what rods and reels are ideal for catfish fishing, what tackle and rigs to use, and the popular baits to use for catfish fishing. A lot of time and effort was put into this video. I hope it helps you catch more catfish this season

Im stoked to get after the catfish this year! I usually go after them at Pyramid Lake (also target striper), the aqueduct, and Lake Isabella. All about that fresh bait and SSS in the aqueduct.

Btw, the Okuma Avenger is also a great reel option that doesn't hit the wallet, and comes in 1000 series with a bait runner option for trout.

What’s catfish seasoning because they buy all you around where I’m at cold hot it doesn’t matter. I just don’t get catfish seasoning.
Just different time of the year here in SoCal. Lake changes their stock to Trout during Winter and then Catfish during Summer. You spoiled where you live to have catfish all year brother. I'm jealous haha! Hope you killin' it out there. 🤙🏼🤙🏼

@@pokedad.fishes and I also have some baits to try when I go to sarl in a couple weeks I have worlds best catfish bait and the magic bait hopefully it works but I’ll bring the bang garlic,that good good,the mackerel,and the shrimp hope it works 😂🎣🎣

Hey man what type of Marshallows do we get
It doesn't really matter but definitely get the mini size. They have scented marshmallows and I prefer garlic scented. Some people just used plain white mini marshmallows. 🤙🏼🤙🏼

That will definitely work. Any bait with a strong scent should work. 🤙🏼

Thanks for the vid I do trout fishing at Sarl but want to also do catfish fishing and one question when you use shrimp do u cut it up and put it on a hook or use the whole shrimp?
For sure brother! It’s nice to fish SARL year round. When I use shrimp I cut them in half on my smaller setup. My bigger setup I’ll use a bigger hook and toss it way out. 🤙🏼🤙🏼

I don't get it, im black and NEVER CATCH FISH!!! Hispanics always catch fish. I was given bait, fished right next to, same technique... he catches ALL the fish!!!! Crazy
