Just fished the Riparian and a guy had his rod pulled into the water while it was leaning on the middle wall!!! He literally jumped in the water and was able to find his pole... the fish was still on!! He landed it and it was about a 5 lb cat!! Amazing...
Now that was a great video. Complete setup, bait, hooks & underwater shots with great fishing action. This will help anyone to get out & fish. Well done Mark!🎣👍😉
Them ponds are nice to fish, fished them 2 weeks ago when i was in the valley. I got lucky with 2 but just done some catch and release, literally almost took my pole in the pond 👍 Great video! Really love to watch your videos!
Great video as always. I like to use 5 ft 6 inch medium power rods to catch these AZ ponds because most of them are 1lb to 4lbs but sometimes you can catch a 10 pounder or two 😃😃
Some easy fishing in Arizona. Love your videos bro. In ponds similar to that here in Louisiana people charge you. There called pay lakes. We use range cubes (cattle feed) for chum. Beautiful fishing spots there.nice and clean. There would be people shoulder to shoulder here in a pond like that open to the public
Great video. Good info, and look to be having fun. I believe they are stocking trout next weekend in one of our city ponds. This will be the second time. I'm looking forward to this. Be blessed. My friend.
Nice job bro!!! I missed the first stockings here in Tucson but definitely going out in the next few days, Or the next stock. I lnow I only have like 2 stocks left before Trout come in. Keep it tight bro!!!
I sure did, funny how I used to try and think stock fish and wild fish are wired the same lol. Also how to use the schedule. From your experience do you still catch even though your months past the stock date? I'm way past the stock dates and very new. 🤔
@@TheFishinMagician20 well my friend today I went to a local stock pond here in San Antonio using your methods shown and my hooks got blasted and got 4 nice cat, one I let go too small 🙌🏽 thank you for all the info and tips man much love and respect 🙌🏽🫡
I gotta admit that you are fun to watch but I almost always use cut bluegill for bait!! My best day was 90 fish , all cats at Cortez! If you have ever heard of A.Z. that's me !!! If not, I really don't care cause it doesn't matter. There are very few people who can even get close to what I do!!! If you would like to learn, I would be more rhan happy to show you what it takes, It's pretty damn simple really!
We used cut up pieces of hot dog that sat in the sun for 24 hours. We crushed it at Desert Breeze, Gila Springs, and Kiwanis Park back in 1992. Before everyone moved to AZ and #$#$## it all up.
I'm surprised with the choice of gear. Far more heavyweight than needed for those size catfish. 5/0 size circle hook? 1/0 is way more than adequate. Medium heavy rod? Any standard 6' medium rod with 10# test line is all that's needed. Cats in the 1 to 6# range can easy be handled with this much lighter and cheaper gear.
Sure they “can” be, but this video is geared more toward beginners that maybe don’t know how to play fish as well. You’d be surprised how many fish people have broken off here on 15-20lb test. As for hook size, these stockers will swallow a 1/0 easily. 5/0 circle hooks keep them hooked in the lips for catch and release. I also mentioned 3/0-4/0. As for the price they have cheaper gear in all sizes. Medium heavy, heavy, medium, light, etc…
Do what ya' want! I've been fishing these lakes for 30-40 yrs. 4lb outfit for trout and 6lb for cats!! Largest fish was a 50 lb flathead from Cortez about 10 yrs ago! Happened during trout season on 4lb line and #8 hook using power bait trout!! Gotta admit I lived in Florida for 7-8 years and caught plenty of 80-140 lb tarpon on nothing heavier heavier than 12 lb Ande tournament line. Light tackle specialist. What you're doing is great for beginners but there is one whole lot more once you get into it!! Light line,no weight and natural baits put in the right places can be absolutely murder, I have taught many people how to do this!! And I have no qualms at all about teaching others!!! Still kinda fun to see what you're up to!!!! Keep it up!!!!! A.Z.
#1-Grab a fishing pole with line #2-Tie a #2 hook on it #3-Bait said hook with almost anything #4-Cast your rig as far as you can #5-Wait for the disgusting and stupid bottom dwellers to bite and hook themselves Done (with my ultimate guide to catching the dumbest fish ever) ((wipes hands clean))
