Take off the pedals and music stand because they add weight when moving along with the legs. Get a large dolly to hold the main piece while moving from room to room. Probably worth covering and padding. Lots of pianos are destroyed during short or long moves because the weight isn’t equally distributed. Really happy you are finally getting a new heating system.

Hey guys to save water my dad used the Grey water from baths and showers and dishes and laundry to water are big yard and the grass and flowers and trees loved it. SO much is happening at Lalande right now, I could easily watch one more vlog a week😉😂 Still hard to believe, that the heating will all be in soon. And I can't wait to see the gardens in full bloom, since there are now three gardeners, and the new gardens around the Chapel to look forward to! Even the woods must already look quite different this spring and summer, because of all the maintenance, that has been done, and the extra sunlight, that clearing all the dead and damaged trees must give. New paths and clearings, where new species will thrive! And the Chateau itself - well, alot has already happened, and I'm guessing more will inevitably happen, but I'll be here for it all!! 😊

You have no idea how much I needed this video today. My mom passed away on Monday night and I am either crying my eyes out or not knowing what to do, I am in disbelief. My husband and daughter are at her house trying to figure things out because we have to have it up for sale ASAP and every time I get to the garage I break down, I am about as much help as the dogs are.

Such a productive day at the Chateau. Things are certainly moving fast in the heating department and I understand how much we are affected by having no hot water. We tend to take things like having hot water (or even running water) for granted until such time as there is a power cut or a drought! What a fantastic system it will be when fully operational. Can’t wait to hear Marie playing the piano again, the gardeners are working their magic in the vegetable garden, Dan and Philip are mushroom eating hero’s and perhaps there will be the patter of little black chickens in the hen house soon? 🥰

I saw someone talk about a grey water watering system. Here in Australia there are many different grey water recycling systems which are great and easy to install. We often suffer periods of drought (years in some cases) so using any grey water to water the essential parts of the garden is worthwhile. A little bit of research will pay dividends and will keep the kitchen garden productive. Love all the work that’s going on in preparation for the first guests after Easter. They did a fairly good job moving the piano! We use to have a 6’ grand and some movers had no clue how to move it. The best was by one guy and his assistant.

Sorry part of 🛠 Amaury's workroom had to be sacrificed for the future heated 💫 glory in the ⚜️Chateau, but the space went to a worthy cause. How blessed to have a cousin who is such a fine craftsman. Amaury's panelling & radiator covers are 🌟artisan level🌟 workmanship. 🤍Love the convertible window seat🤍. Jared's billiard tablecloth is tres chic too. 🎱My childhood friend had a 3 panel top made for their pool table that was located in their greatroom. It would protect the felt while it allowed it to be used temporarily as a beautiful buffet for special gatherings. It was a perfect place for an extra long 💐 centerpiece as well as a coordinating cloth too. The pieces were easy to assemble & disassemble too. 😉 It's dual purpose reminded me of George Washington's country home. Mt. Vernon's dining table looked completely elegant on top, but was actually resting on 🪚saw horses. Once guests retired for brandy or tea🫖, the dishes 🍽 & dining table would be completely removed to make way for musicians &🕺dancing💃 . Your new 🎼music room is inspired. Like that you swapped 🔁 the sofas. Well done! Kudos to the glorious ♀️ girl gardening team! They are doing a bang up job getting their domain ship shape for your guests. Lovely to see Dan. If you want to add more asparagus plants they are easily propagated from seed and it's a very cheap way to get lots and lots of new plants. Of course it takes a bit longer than buying crowns but with patience you can get an abundance of asparagus. You could even put in a whole asparagus bed along the garden wall. Another good thing about asparagus seeds is you can get heirloom cultivars like Early of Argenteuil or Mary Washington which usually aren't available as crowns. Just a thought if you love asparagus! And of course congratulations on your hot water, must get a bit crowded to have the whole chateau lining up for showers in the early morning ;)

I just do not understand why she feels the need to put up misleading, click-bait-y thumbnails (do people really prefer negative news to positive ones??), when she has a loyal, regular audience and patronage. As she said before, people come here for uplifting and inspiring content - I certainly do and admire her attitude and personality. I hope that in the future, thumbnails will always be reflective of the content overall (not just highlighting one aspect that could be viewed negatively). 🤗

Such a productive day at the Chateau. Things are certainly moving fast in the heating department and I understand how much we are affected by having no hot water. We tend to take things like having hot water (or even running water) for granted until such time as there is a power cut or a drought! What a fantastic system it will be when fully operational. Can’t wait to hear Marie playing the piano again, the gardeners are working their magic in the vegetable garden, Dan and Philip are mushroom eating hero’s and perhaps there will be the patter of little black chickens in the hen house soon? 🥰

Just imagine the future fuel bills for a chateau. Many of us in England are worried about the cost of heating our family homes for the foreseeable future so the thought of a bill for the château is truly frightening .

I saw someone talk about a grey water watering system. Here in Australia there are many different grey water recycling systems which are great and easy to install. We often suffer periods of drought (years in some cases) so using any grey water to water the essential parts of the garden is worthwhile. A little bit of research will pay dividends and will keep the kitchen garden productive.

They did a fairly good job moving the piano! We use to have a 6’ grand and some movers had no clue how to move it. The best was by one guy and his assistant.

Hi Stephanie, the last month has been so sad but I have an idea. With so much land, is there a small tranquil little spot to put a seat and plant a rose for each of those close to you have lost but want to remain close to the chateau. Not a sad place but a happy place.

Tonight wild weather is forecast to hit for 2 days so will see after that. Jared's billiard tablecloth is tres chic too. 🎱My childhood friend had a 3 panel top made for their pool table that was located in their greatroom. It would protect the felt while it allowed it to be used temporarily as a beautiful buffet for special gatherings. It was a perfect place for an extra long 💐 centerpiece as well as a coordinating cloth too. The pieces were easy to assemble & disassemble too.
😉 It's dual purpose reminded me of George Washington's country home. Mt. Vernon's dining table looked completely elegant on top, but was actually resting on 🪚saw horses. Once guests retired for brandy or tea🫖, the dishes 🍽 & dining table would be completely removed to make way for musicians &🕺dancing💃 .
Your new 🎼music room is inspired. Like that you swapped 🔁 the sofas. Well done!

The young green garlick is called 'aillet' in French. It's quite a delicay in the Atlantic coast regions of France, sold on market stalls at Easter time to enhance the lamb or kid that are traditionnaly eaten on Easter Sunday.

If you want to add more asparagus plants they are easily propagated from seed and it's a very cheap way to get lots and lots of new plants. Of course it takes a bit longer than buying crowns but with patience you can get an abundance of asparagus. You could even put in a whole asparagus bed along the garden wall. Another good thing about asparagus seeds is you can get heirloom cultivars like Early of Argenteuil or Mary Washington which usually aren't available as crowns. Just a thought if you love asparagus!
And of course congratulations on your hot water, must get a bit crowded to have the whole chateau lining up for showers in the early morning ;)

I enjoy watching Stephanie's videos and do so every week. I just do not understand why she feels the need to put up misleading, click-bait-y thumbnails (do people really prefer negative news to positive ones??), when she has a loyal, regular audience and patronage. As she said before, people come here for uplifting and inspiring content - I certainly do and admire her attitude and personality. I hope that in the future, thumbnails will always be reflective of the content overall (not just highlighting one aspect that could be viewed negatively). 🤗
It is annoying and silly, but I think people who study such things have determined that someone scrolling through, or having been recommended a channel they don't normally watch, are more likely to click on it if there seems to be some disaster looming. It's just human nature. And while followers and subscribers will watch no matter, the whole point is to get new viewers to click on your channel. And unfortunately this has been shown to work. It's like advertising a product for €9.99 instead of €10 seems like a better deal, so everyone does it and it works, and we literally know this but fall for it anyway. Humans and their psychology are weird. 🤷♀️

That’s funny- I’ve used the onion greens for forever. I was surprised when I came across someone whom used the onion greens only and not the the root bulb. Half the lovely plant. Enjoy! The greens are typically not as strong as the bulb.
