I mean they are definitely using quality materials, but the technique is really kind of questionable. It will look great for a while, but they will be long gone with check in hand by the time the owner notices trouble with the floor I guess 🤷‍♂️.

Still no cavity wall, no insulation and dpc.. brick's and blocks is really soft. It just won't last. I build my home in Vietnam with cavity wall and in summer is cool, in winter is warm. Three fault
They spread cement mixture in entire floor at once, pure cement and water mixture dry quickly so this floor may loose some times as heavy weight comes on it
Before tiling skirting they should sprinkle water on wall
Aesthetically skirting width is bigger seems cheap, it is around 4 inch but 2.75 inch is best
    Good things
Floor leveling and preparing solid floorbed is good

They loosened up they dirt or whatever that was under the floor and smoothed it out, but they never packed it back down. This is going to lead to some little sink holes and eventually they will have to remove parts of the floor that crack or break to fill in low spots. Still looks like a great job for what they were working with.

@@bobbob-xr8wh I agree stuffing cavity with insulation , didn't have issues with that because you don't have much choices / spray foam is another. I just said using brick, cement, mortar and plaster is better for insulative purposes than fiberglass or stuffed insulation and drywall . Check out R values. It would be so costly here to build with full brick and mortar. Also the time it takes. Just like over there they don't have the forests like we do or the wood available. For them it cheaper to build with concrete and bricks. Also the trades are not use to building with wood. The moisture content and humidity levels there will also do a number on wood , not to mention wood eating bugs

Unless the floor moves, those tiles are going nowhere. Really thats common method only difference they used this machine to mix it .Tile man usually mix send cement dry with shovel and add sprinkle some water 💧 and keep mixing mix should be damp not wet then spread it and level the whole thing. The way they did it should work I think wet cement on the top should bond well with the cement subfloor and tiles installed on the wet cement should bond too as long as cement is sticky .I would butter or spread cement on the tile as well to make a better bonding, but that would take more time and tile adjustment to make it level.
