I can hardly get out of bed. If I do, I hardly leave the house. I have no problem getting to work and in-fact I get to work early. I work 12 hour shifts. So I am finding it quite difficult to take small/baby steps. Thanks for your vids. I just discovered you yesterday. You know YT has a horrible algorithm! I have been looking for vids like yours for years but they never came across my phone/laptop. 😡

My favourite morning routine is making myself a cup of hot coffee, applying essential oil (deep breathe after that) before i start my day.❤

Be careful with coffee especially first thing in the morning, it’s a stimulant and terrible for anxiety

I have a few thoughts I’d like to share, after watching this and one other video. . . Just know going in (Tati?) that I absolutely support what seems to be your mission, here! I AM confused by your use of “high-functioning” anxiety. HOW is that different from chronic, life-long Anxiety Disorder? Why does it need to be differentiated?
I’ve had both anxiety and depression (Dysthemia) my whole life-along with AD/H/D, CPTSD, and probable Autism, along with a few other neuro issues. . . I wasn’t diagnosed until my 40’s, and I’ll be 70 this year. At the end of ‘22 I lost both my adult first-born and closest younger sibling, in separate but equally violent deaths, and have been in some sort of freeze state ever since. . . Due to physical (spinal) disability, I’m at home, and alone. I really do need a “morning routine”, as, due to pain/symptom issues, I spend a LOT of time lying down and/or sleeping-and that worsens my anxiety/depression ; it’s a vicious cycle for sure! I have healing to do, and WANT to be productive and creative again ; yet struggle to do self-care that I used to take completely for granted. (Absurdly enough, I DO still have hope for the future!)
Before I forget, I wanted to share that (for me) your fast-paced speaking is, in itself, anxiety-producing, in spite of your calm demeanor. I think you could slow down a bit, if you put some of what you are saying onscreen : Lists, bullet points, etc. Does this make sense? I do not mean to be critical, just to point out something you may have already felt to be the case!
Thank you for taking the time to listen ; I appreciate it very much! Please take good care.

You can slow down the speed, by adjusting it in the settings icon in the upper right of the video.
I myself listen at 0.75x speed and find that helpful.

I really appreciate the idea of having options and not keeping things super ridgid. I am prone to making a plan for myself and giving up once I have an off day. It's frustrating because i want to continue and offer myself grace but it almost seems automatic to think "i might as well give up" as if one bad day just ruins the rest of my lifes progress haha so i wrote down a few ideas. I do struggle with motivation and energy but still have high standards for myself so i decided to allow myself the option to sleep in sometimes and then a few other options that include some light physical activity or journaling and meditation. I also take short breaks at work around 10am each day so even on the days when i struggle to wake up earlier. I could still use my break to take some deep breaths, journal and let go of the things im dealing with.

Was thinking about doing a routine to plan the day but obviously things happen that can be unexpected so i would have to work around when that happens, was thinking should i plan the day the night before or on the actual day itself because on the day we know we could feel totally different

I was taught that I was to blame for not having control. If I was late because the bus was late, I should have taken an earlier bus and calculate that in. But I'm not good with alternative scenarios so I keep making mistakes that seem preventable to others but feel out of my control for me. Hence, I need to be in control ALWAYS because otherwise people blame or even shame me for the outcome 😬 (spoiler: it doesn't work, I stillmake mistakes but now also blame myself. Better to work on that than striving to keep control I guess 😅)
