Question... what happens if i long press on lock and unlock button at the same time? i tried it and my car goes quietly peep peep peep peep four times with the alarm light and i dont know what it does please tell me does it reset the settings or what?
@@PuenteHillsHyundai me and my husband got the 2023 elantra ni line. And are wondering ...how do u turn on the theft alarm. ..for the first time?? ...I have locked the car......and the. Tries opening it! And nothing ...no sound.
@@1987Flaka Read the manual, that is normal. It will not sound if someone just tries the lock. They would need to open the door by breaking a window or through an open windows for it to sound.
I had my key in my purse and unloaded a bunch of bags at work - including purse. I walk out to my car to lock it and it doesn’t lock. Because for some crazy reason you need the key to lock the car. You can’t just hit the button on the door -nothing happens . Stupid! You should be able to lock the car w/o key!!!!

Curious. If the battery for the fob dies, how do you get into the car if there is not a "key" like on the Essential.
If you pop open the fob there is a key inside to unlock the vehicle manually.

Does the car need to be unlocked when holding the start button down? Mine wont start while locked
No, sounds like you might have a starting issue. I would take it down to your nearest Hyundai dealership to assess further.

It goes on automatically when you lock the vehicle. Are you talking about the panic mode via the remote control?

My car got broken into last night and no alarm went off my phone didn’t even get a notification that the doors were unlocked or my car got broken into
on mine its disabled because of the code lock do you know how do i reactivate it?
You will need to reset it wtih a technician.
