Got mine couple weeks ago now, not left the wrist. Great summer watch, looks great, feels great. Managed to get one from an ad... I am sure I will pick up a ro soon. Great review, great watch, it's yellow and blue....
My first watch ever was a SWATCH with a yellow rubber strap, yellow dial and a blue bezel. This diver reminds me a lot of this look, it would be cool to own this offshore to remind me of my first ever watch.
Really enjoyed that review Damien, really like the way you give a full history and back story to each watch company and model . Love that colour combo. Looking forward to next week 👍
Good shout. Proud owner of the silver dialled version. Had it over two years and still LOVE the thing! Makes my GMT BLNR seem well, a bit normal & boring really!
I have that particular piece…. One of 6 of my APs. I have 4 royal oaks and two offshores and 13 Rolex. I love wearing it PS I believe is is considered a “special edition”. I have the deepsea James Cameron too! You need to be careful with the crown. They tend to come off with very little movement. It’s still an amazing watch and it a lot!
Congrats Damien, however, be prepared for hefty service costs with AP - made me sell my Polaris. Also the steel is much softer than 904L of rolex - so it attracts scraping and dents like no other !
Great video, you are correct about the colour, blue and yellow the best of the bunch. As I am gong to be 60 in October, my wife has said that she would get me any watch (within reason) for my birthday. So far, I have changed my mind about 20 times! I hope that I can get some ideas to narrow the search down.
Great video, what an excellent looking watch. I'm sporting a Seiko with a navy dial and orange rubber strap these days. There's something so nice about coloured rubber straps and bright colours on watches.
I own the Blue/White version with white strap and additional dark blue strap (15710ST.OO.A010). It’s my favorite weekend watch, taking over the place of my Daytona TT 116503. This is a great summertime watch as long as your wrist can take it. I am wearing it on the third strap hole and it is extremely comfortable.
I bought an 'Offshore Diver' like this by € 52 and I think that the amount of the original to pay is unjustified. Of course that the barrel does not bring 72 hours of power reserve, hasn't the warranty on the pressure equivalent of 300 m., two lifetimes without breakdowns aren't guaranteed, but is waterproof and I can spinning it to three seconds +/- in accuracy. I think that this is important.
That AP certainly looks the part. Does it also perform the part as a quality time-keeping device that at least equals if not exceeds that Rolex Sub..? Also, if it came with Glidelock like buckle, would that substantially improve its comfort..?
I was always a big fan of the black diver but seeing this blue looks awesome. As nice as it is though I think a submariner is a better for most people particularly if it’s your only watch or if you use it as intended as it’s actually a delicate watch and those AP service costs are big $$.
Hi Damien. This was my first time watching one of your reviews. I really enjoyed the combination of knowledge and humor. I subscribed for future content. I'm also weighing getting this same AP Offshore model. I'm glad to see how happy you are with yours. I have a Rolex Sea Dweller 43 that I'm contemplating trading for this same Offshore. I think I'm a little fatigued by how many Rolexes I see out there, and want a watch that is not as ubiquitous. I'm also a diver fanatic! I see you have a no-date Sub as well which must wear a lot lighter than the AP Offshore. How does the AP wear as a daily driver, and how often are you wearing it? I love my SD 43 but the bracelet in combination with the weight of the case can bite my wrist a bit. I've worn 44+ MM watches before and don't mind the size. IT's more about wearability and uniqueness. I've put on a Deep Sea before so I get that comparison, but am wondering about the strap feeling for contrast. Thanks in advance! These watches are very hard to find to wear in person.
Hey Anselm - great to have you watching the channel. I hear what you're saying about the Sea Dweller weight but I've not found it that Between the 2 models, I would say the AP is the more comfortable to wear on a more daily basis, and you get to choose from a host of bright colours. The Sea-Dweller and no-date Sub are bone fide classics though and there's nothing more daily or useable than the no-date sub. The AP is certainly taller off the wrist, so although it's comfortable - it would get in the way of cuffs if you are wearing a jacket and shirt.
Loving this new channel. Can’t get enough of watches. What high quality watch box are people using? I need a box for a 4 watch collection and don’t know where to start. A friend told me Scatola Del Tempo from Italy are the best.
Scatola Del Tempo are the Rolls Royce of watch boxes and winders. I have three of their watch cases. Expensive but worth it. We sell Wolf which are well made and good value. Delighted to help!
I can't argue. The 42mm Offshore are statement pieces. I prefer the metal bezel to the plastic coated ones. The rubber strap is very comfortable indeed. I wish the chronograph had the open case back like your diver. Like you I do reach for mine a lot too. Yours is a lovely watch. Enjoyed your review of it. If you ever do buy another AP, take a gander of the Royal Oak 41mm Chronograph range. The Steel "Panda" is one of my favourite models. Or if you feel the need for a bracelet and bezel that is breath taking, check out the Titanium and platinum Royal Oak Chrono 26331. Here is I link to check it out on Pinterest pin.it/6R2rw1g It's seriously stunning.
Good Morning Gentlemen, Okay......so here is the scenario; Your Great Uncle Bulgaria - who, incidentally you never knew existed, has left you something in his Will. £22k But it Comes with conditions; You can only spend the money on a watch. Your mysterious uncle was from Yorkshire, a bit tight and you have to buy a new to you watch but pre-loved by someone else. He didn’t like depreciation. What would you both buy?
Great question, Martin. I would go vintage with a Rolex Submariner 1680 red writing or Submariner Kermit Fat/Flat 4 16610LV. Or I might go West with a full gold Submariner 116618LN
TheWatchGuys I’m liking the full gold Sub option. All things been equal, I’d say that’s a pretty safe place to put some money on. Like yourself I don’t look at watches thinking; Can I get a return on that but......I am from Yorkshire & it would kill my Pig if it would to drop 10k in say 3 years. I know the World is in a shit place at the moment but your suggestion shows you obviously know and value things that are just a solid investment. Other than Chrono24 where else do you go for your watch gazing Fix? Thanks you for taking the time out to answer me. As ever you’ve got class you two fellas. @@TheWatchGuysTV Santa’s been and brought me the AP. Need to send you some pics of the rs6 and watch.....,you’ll think I’m a Walter Mitty if not.....lol, stay safe....
My friend service the watch (chrono version) at AP just after 5 years he bought it. AP scam him by asking to change screws, hands etc. It cost him 2.9K SGD. AP is much unreliable compared to Omega & Rolex
It's not the Audemars Pikee it's the Audemars Piguet with a soft G!! You have to learn the pronounciation before you're allowed to have those watches!!
Sorry but it's a borrning watch and ugly. Buy a Jacob&Co watch mutch more beautiful or Buy Rolex Submarine Rainbow. More beautiful than the Rolex i have.
AP ROO Diver is the best diver watch ever made!!

Hey Damian! Thinking of buying my first AP. Will be the new Diver… miss your watch videos! 😅 Best regards!
Good choice!
Mate!! the royal oak double balance wheel openworked is the watch dreams are made of 🤤🤤🤤
I love the white dial with blue strap
Saw one of those at the London Watch Show
Really enjoyed that review Damien, really like the way you give a full history and back story to each watch company and model . Love that colour combo. Looking forward to next week 👍
Glad you enjoyed it, Terry - was fun doing this one
Another fabulous video. With the Orange Rubber Strap that’s right up my alley !
Good shout. Proud owner of the silver dialled version. Had it over two years and still LOVE the thing! Makes my GMT BLNR seem well, a bit normal & boring really!
Nice
I have the same model. Immediately at the dealer I asked to change blue strap for the yellow))))

A great watch ! Info: its not a boutique edition - My AP AD has exactly this watch for sale (Visited 12/2019)
Congrats Damien, however, be prepared for hefty service costs with AP - made me sell my Polaris. Also the steel is much softer than 904L of rolex - so it attracts scraping and dents like no other !
AP diver service is about 800dollar like a sport Rolex its not that expensive. the AP chronographs service costs are very expensive though
Sub ND is perfection
Love this watch
That Sub was a bit of a steal.

Lovely looking AP...congrats 👏
I'm that shallow too. I'm so shallow that I'd choose that full yellow or the full orange version. "Hey, 👋😅 lok at me!"

Yes, great choice that.
Never cared about watches. Haven't worn one since I was a kid. But I'm digging this new channel.
Thanks, dude
Thoughts on buying expensive watches second/third hand? Is the saving of 10-20% worth the watch being used?
In theory if you’re happy with the condition, then it’s worth it
Great review thanks!
I've wanted a white dial one on a steel bracelet for a long time.
Thanks, Matthew
Congrats! this watch is looking MEGA!
Thanks
Lovely watch and good review Damien, keep it up
Thanks 👍👍
hello, since you've had it for some time, can i ask what is the reliability of the ap 3120 movement? has it stopped working?
No, it's working perfectly.
git a blue one like yours love it , and I've the deep-sea Rolex love them

Shouldn't do that. Maybe look to get it serviced.
how much is the price?
Loving the channel!
Looks like a watch to drive your Lambo in. Brash, flash and lacks subtlety. Perfect. BTW do you match watches and cars, like wine and food?
No I never do - I think that’s one step too far
How you will know if its original or fake?
