Women did the best acting…all of the women. Movie story had gaps…it jumps from point to point too fast and does not allow too much time to develop empathy with the characters. Pushpa Rani character is best. Costumes, scene and environment are awesome and on point.
Phooool. Phh phh. Phool. No wonder. Men and women characters portrayed by women screen writers are totally different. That might have been drunkenness of his friends, but what about people who put shit into others heads without the knowledge of the woman in their complete senses. What about the shit that is inside their heads?? Who gives them such authority to get between a couple like that, especially when they are not a part of the story..? Greed? Conspiracy? Selfishness? What exactly? There are two people who've met out of their own choice n are getting to know each other and some cheap person comes along to put shit to dead into someone's head, that too with noone else knowing and they themselves not knowing the person.. but judging them on behalf of what? Geography? And where do they come from? If they had even an ounce of phool's character, would they ever do this? I think phool was very strong with a lot of softness. How many women do u know who wouldn't have had faith on or doubted her husband's intention? Also, I knew what this character had in store the moment he says, tum apne zewar de do kahin chori na ho jayein n even though she's a new bride, she couldn't care less about what she was wearing in front of her husband and the faith she had. She didn't know much about him apart his name, not even his village's name. And that, they were together. And tied by heart strings, kinda inseparable. And that's enough. And how is this lady not a feminist herself. Most of village narratives around mother in law and daughter in law is of control and I'm the queen bee narrative. And here she's the most fluid thing u can see onscreen. So breezy. Just perfect. I don't think the actor who plays Deepak would be like deepak in real life though. This is btw a little reel for even the rural India. One has to say. Not everyone behaves this way and not everyone gets it. At least with phool and Deepak. Nope. Nt really. But such love stories exist. And it takes an entire world to bring it down. I feel so much pride over the fact that the simplicity of feelings in this story is so strong that it can make the strongest of lust, passions, and planning tremble. Im so glad they showed it. Finally, a love story I can relate to. Wrna aj kal to baki sab cheez pe, baki sab cheezein bani hi Hui hain. Kum se kum kuch logon ko pyar ka sahi mtlb smjh ayga. Aur ye bhi ki koi cheez itni lambi kaise Judi hoti h bina planning, plotting, conspiracy, hawabazi aur unnecessary efforts k. Pyaar kehte hain isko. Khud k sath dhoka krna to koi aapse seekhe.
