Steinway has made great improvements on the instruments since 2019. Especially, 2023 models are like totally different instruments compared to the ones even 2 or 3 years ago.

What was that lovely piece you played?

Hi ClassicRoyal, The piece performed is an improvisational minuet, by our manager Brent.

Steinway dealers are hilarious. Spent most the video selling the brand, not the instrument.

Hi Ironmatic 1 - Thanks for your comment - Glad you find that we have a sense of humour! :) The recipe Steinway achieved in the Essex and Boston, of course, comes from Steinway. As the title suggests, this video is only the introduction to these pianos. Stay posted, We will be posting videos on the individual instruments soon.

What you are paying for is a totally overpriced grand piano. After steinway had been bought by an investor this is of course the main goal.
Unfortunately you missed saying that Boston is built by Kawai on their GX production line. Still don't know what parts are really delivered by steinway…
And I never bothered with Essex as it was mainly built in China for the chinese market. Basically for people that need the brand sticker "designed by S&S" and don't have the money.
Of course S&S build wonderful instruments. So do other brands at more affordable prices. Sorry to say.

      Hi Maverick,
Thanks for taking the time to comment - always interesting to see what people consider overpriced. Just to clarify a few things:
Steinway was purchased by John Paulson, Billionaire investor back in 2013, which has led to a number of new investments within the company enabling better equipment and control in manufacturing. The advancements in just 10 years have been very positive, resulting in better performing pianos, including the Boston and Essex lines by Steinway. They certainly haven't diminished in quality. This is a fact. If the designed by S&S sticker is all that people were after, the longevity within the brands Boston & Essex would not have lasted as long as they have - Boston since the mid 80s Essex since early 2000 -- with the same but improved models Btw! Like Apple's designed by Apple in California (built overseas of course) it is an important statement and speaks to detail for quality and design.
We like to emphasise the similarities between Boston and Steinway, for example:
      - Action Geometry
      - Low tension scale
      - All solid maple action parts
      - Maple inner-rim
      - Multi direction maple pinblock Octagrip TM
      - Specifically tapered soundboard
      - Sitka Spruce Soundboard - Sitka Spruce, also used in Steinways, is found in the Pacific Northwest and is used for Boston’s tapered soundboard.
Similarities between Kawai & Boston? The build location, the lid, prop stick and music desk material are the same, as are the cheek blocks and leg material - the parts that don't affect the sound & Performance of the piano.

Das stimmt man bezahlt bei Steinway & Sons sehr viel für den Namen. Womit ich aber nicht sagen möchte das Steinway Instrumente schlecht wären.

There are lots of competitions. It is true you can't stay in the market for so long if you have bad products
