Total fail. You side loaded the carabiner around a tube and then you shock loaded it. Why not carry a round sling to make a legit anchor or tie a butterfly hitch 18 inches down and capture both rails and avoid side loading. Jmo

this system is designed for one time use emergency applications, when all else fails I don't think the first thing you're gonna do in a life or death situation is fumble with a sewn runner or sling. I understand where your coming from but in these situations even severely injured in better than dead
