Great analysis to determine which stove is a better fit for you. I boiled 16 oz. of water using my BRS stove in a 750 ml. pot and it used 8 grams of fuel. I think it still took about 3 minutes 30 seconds to boil the water but again, it only used 8 grams of fuel. Your results may vary, but that's not bad at all. My most efficient stove, the Optimus Lite boiled the same amount of water in the same pot using only 6 grams of fuel. It also took about 3 1/2 minutes to bring the 16 oz. of water to a boil. The reason I mention this is how long it takes to bring water to a boil does not always translate to how efficient the stove is. The Optimus lite also has a claimed weight of 72 gr. so exactly twice the weight of the BRS stove. The cost of the Optimus Lite is also over twice the price of the BRS stove. I paid $39.90 for mine and under $16.00 for my BRS.
