- They really gave us everything here: rapping Jennie, Jisoo's lines, iconic Lisa & Jennie duo rap moment, rock star Rosé, a not empty chorus (which personally I don't mind but oh well)!!! The chorus took me off guard because I was expecting it to slap as hard as HYLT but it actually was a lot more laid back and subtle to my surprise. It's that kind of quiet confidence where you don't have to speak up for people to know who you are or that you are in the area (wink wink). It was super 2000 girls band too and I kinda loved it?
I loved the bridge but wished the latata part wasn't as long and that we could have gotten another chorus there but I understand kind of the intention behind the last part? Like it's them, gun blazin, shooting bullet of pink venom at us and they finished us? No? Anyways.
The MV is spectacular to say the least and I feel like it encapsulated the visual identity of BP and its members solo work so well! There were so many references to their past stuff here and seeing them actually made this whole experience even better in my opinion.
Now like I said, the song will grow on me and I have no doubt it will because it is already playing non stop in my head but I guess I'll have to let ma body first "assimilate" the poison before my body finally accepting it lol

I like the song, main rapper Jennie ate, but the thing that stunned me the most are their visuals and outfits.
Rosé with her black outfit and the guitar is probably my favorite, Lisa's outfit in the dancebeak and that hairstyle suits her sooo well. Jisoo and her etheral beauty. And then there is obviously Jennie, who you put in everything and she will make it work, i personally wasn't a fan of her first outfit but everything else she wore was chef's kiss. Her presence through out the entire song was marvelous.
I'd say this as a pre-release single to perfection. First track, it captures exactly what blackpink is known and loved for and makes you crave for more.

I didn't get it at first listen but once it hit, it HIT. The rap parts were so good and the anti-beat drop in the chorus is so seductive, it fits the title perfectly. I loved this comeback and I'm glad it's successful

I felt the same regarding the chorus, at first listen I was like "ok... no hard ass drop?". After 3rd-4th listen i definitely understand the intention behind it, if you think about it the whole song is in your face, even the pre chorus has a strong heavy instrumental vs. HYLT for example where it is more chill, so to subvert expectations this time the more chill part is in the chorus!
The rap line nailed the rap part. BUT CHAESOO THOUGH. The vocals is so good. The chorus is so catchy too

Okay maybe I am the only one who love the song first time i heard it! Everything about this comeback is the best. The styling, the line distribution, the screen time each members deserve, the mv, the promotion were getting from YG and the song it self! The song is so refreshing, so much different from their previous songs from badass to sexy. I feel im the sexiest person listening to the chorus. Blackpink never disspoint!

I love the chorus!!! It makes me feel like a badass….. a Lady Boss actually. It’s very high pitched and kinda soft but at the same time still so powerful!
I like that the chorus is softer than the rest of the song. It caught me off guard as well, but it grew on me quickly. The girls really slayed on all fronts in this one.

I won't argue with Rosé's vocals. But i'm not sure about jisoo. Her vocals were the worst. She sounded too awkward as if she's struggling with her notes and pronunciation. This is always her problem. I think Lisa sounds better than her vocally.

I really liked this track, even if the formula is still present there have been many “improvements”. This song instruments feels more cohesive that their previous releases, we got lyrics in the chours and finally rapper Jennie like you said. it’s really my cup of tea and I’m really happy because it’s been since ddududdudu that I didn’t enjoy a bp title track/single like this. The only thing I didn’t like is the ratatata part that is way too repetitive, But that’s just a small part
