Kayas better than the credit their giving it. It's good against search for azcanta jump start cards. She's basically scavenging ooze you pay for once with a win on attached to it and decent removal for some of the tier decks in the format. When you draw kaya you never wonder why it's in your deck

At 1:03:50 did not he really mess up everything? he plays the 2nd hostage taker, and take the first hostage taker he has in play, then plays a 3rd hostage taker, that takes the 2nd hostage takers, and that makes the 1st hostage taker come back to play, and need to take the 3rd hostage taker, that release the 2nd one, that takes the 1st one and creates and infinity loop that must be finished taking the only other creature in play, the krasis, if he plays the krasis, then he decks himself and losses, if he don't play the krasis, then he don't have enough attack with only 2 hostage takers to take the remaining 13 lifes and is a draw...
Chapin was just to quick givin him the hand...
Edit: well to be fair he could vrask's contempt his own hostage taker at some point to stop the loop, but still what an innecesary mess.

He'll never deck himself so long as he has teferi to -3 himself into the library, so he would still win with the 2 hostage takers.

@@Acaru136 it's not a decking problem, he has 2 turns to kill the opponent because the round time is over, that is 8 damage with a 13 life opponent.

@@@Buti1986 Ah OK, that makes sense.

@1986Maria1986 Actually, if you count the lands he only had 3 mana left so with the cards in his hand he couldn´t stop the loop (with contempt) without targeting the krasis with a hostage taker. Thus he actually DID throw away his on-board win.

If the judges or Chapin cought this, they would rewind the play up to the first hostage taker played, make him choose the target for his ability, and at that point he would surely choose not to play second hostage taker. I believe this is the way things would go.
