My buddy and I proxied some commandos and range Troopers in a game a few weekends ago. They're both really cool! Complete the Mission definitely had more impact in our game than in this one, but not so much that it felt unbalanced.
On a side note, I'm so stoked for the empire riot control squads!

It's so funny when there's new stuff on the board, whether it's you guys or my own games, it always feels like it's hard to get it to shine in the way you hope it will. Sometimes it's skill and sometimes you get Complete the Mission and it doesn't want to work XD

Awesome game chaps! Down to the wire again. The Complete the Mission tokens certainly are an interesting one. I can see them coming up trumps and being deciders in some games.

Great game - it’s cool to see 3 units of the standard commandos in action. I think Yoda will be my go-to force user for them as well since he can feed them actions with guidance. Might end up being tighter on points, but it’s hard to pass up Delta Squad - that infinite courage and independent recover at 25 points more is a compelling draw. Glad to see them complete the mission!

the complete the mission token trait with 3 units is exactly what i was hoping for with the board control. Super excited to pick these guys up down the line. Now crossing my fingers for an op ahsoka and i will be happy. Need more surges!

What a great game! Complete the Mission was a surprise in that the surges didn't really pan out much, but otherwise the commandos are really strong. Those range troopers aren't slouching either though. I did have to laugh at Don's comment at the end of round one, things do tend to go off the rails after that point. It was a good finish though even if Empire lost. Everything was left on the table, so to speak.

Very close game. Looked pretty intense. Sounded a little frustrating, at times. But in the end, the Clones were able to Complete the Mission.

Seems like the complete the mission tokens have a high degree of variance. While they didn't do much this game, I'm sure other games they could swing things a lot.

Hq uplink on commandos is soooo good in my expirience, been playing rhem since we got the cards

It was a really close game. If Don had saved the aims when the commandos still had armour he probably could have finished off the last commando with the second attack. Not sure if the republic could have completed the mission with the thumbs missing.

Good game! in the end, couldnt those stormtroopers who couldnt reach the point base the blue phase 1s? if you base the non leader then youd have to pull the others around and pull the leader off of the key position.

If your storm peeled then Bossk score it would been 2-2 acts in center, and then kill points. Also I don't know what exactly you desided to attack with Palpatine. But why didn't you triple attack yoda? Or focus and double tap units? To turn them to speed 0 or outright kill them. Attack clone commandos with armor still intact was kinda pointless, especially sinking 2 aims into them.
New toys make completing the mission a little more challenging. Not sure how to adapt old lists to face these new threats.

The hardest opponent to play against would be Don for 2 turns, then Joe for the rest of the game. 🤣

Awesome game! Complete the mission seems hit or miss and I'm still not sold on range troopers. They seem "okay" at best.
I don’t know it seems fairly easy to figure out the placement of the tokens for maximum usage
I like the idea of complete the mission a lot, I think its actually a cooler mechanic for characters like Cassian Andor and Jin Erso than the one turn cards they get to capture that vibe. That being said, and having no positive sentiment associated to the clone commandos (didn't play video game with them, and didn't really care for them in the clone wars cartoon) I feel like these two new support choices being infantry is not positive. I worry will make the game even more prone to infantry every day all day. You guys were both rolling for basically crits only the entire game and got enough to demonstrate IMO why vehicle armor isn't sufficient and why impact isn't nearly as important to the meta as pierce is. I have no easy fixes and since they just did a baseline rules update I don't imagine this will change anytime soon.... but I just feel that there's too many reasons not to take vehicles and their strength (armor) is too easy to overcome. Infantry tends to have bigger dice pools (another trend in the game IMO) and easier defense tech. When support choices are also infantry (in addition to corps and special forces) it just indicates to me that the designers are not on the same page as I am with what a star wars battle looks like. I still think the way you guys film your games is the most immersive, naturally viewed video cast of any I've seen. Thanks for the good show!

I‘m not sure those Super Commandos are much fun to play against. They are super defensive in a faction that is already very tanky. Three of them are a pain in the a** with those three Complete the Mission tokens. Sabre users could be a hard counter, ignoring the shield and the armor upgrade.

Interesting how the dice swing so much. I got into Legion specifically because I hoped that Delta Squad would be a unit someday! Sadly, they just don't strike me as being worth the price increase over regular commandos.
Complete the mission seems powerful in theory, but looks like it ends up being a lot like the Z6. Lots of potential, but a total slot machine with the dice.
Also, that Yoda art card is beautiful!
I can tell you from at lot of games they are well worth the cost from never being able to be surpressed, auto recover for their gun and shield, and when ordered the target 2 :) thanks for watching!

Don't sleep on hq uplink on commandos. They need to recover all the time so giving them orders to trigger target and letting you give orders to corp for fire support is big. Worth the 30 extra points imo. It helps them complete the mission

23:37- Is that considered a attack action by “Palps”?!? Like I know he had someone attack for one of his actions! But his action wasn’t the attack! His action was “pulling the strings” which caused a attack!?! Or did he get those extra suppressions?!?
Palps pull the strings has another unit perform an attack action so the range troopers make the attack and get all their keywords which includes supressive
1:21- 🙄 Ugh…… There is more new rules?!? Come on! What are they now? What changed again?!? I’m sorry, but I’ve been playing for awhile now and I no longer look forward to points changes after they are announced their coming! And after the first 2 or 3 rules changes/updates I haven’t been a fan of those either!!! The points is because for some odd reason they have a issue with the Republic!?! I don’t get it! But they will lower down points on 1 unit…. but then they will raise up the points on their attachments or other units! So it still equals out to a negative or the fact that it was already way too high, but then they upped it again at some point and then in the last points changed they lowered it….. but none of them were lowered to anywhere close to what they “should be” in comparison to other units that are similar in other factions!!! So that’s NOT a W!!! And my issue with most rule changes/updates is every time they change them they actually make them way worse!!! Like a lot of the rules made more sense near the beginning! But since the existence of cheaters is a thing they would use any loophole they could find to cheat! The best one to explain that one is with LOS! LOS actually made way more sense before those stupid silhouettes!!! And as long as you used common sense and wasn’t a cheater you would be able to figure it out! Like if all you can see is the blade of a lightsaber and you shot at that, would you actually get a hit on them?!? NO! The only answer that isn’t stupid is a NO!!! Jedi and Sith use “lightsabers to reflect and send back blasts to the shooter all the time”!!! So how would that ever make any sense that that would wound or even kill one of them!?! It doesn’t! But because of the rule change for that, now you don’t have to even see any of them! As long as you can see the silhouette behind them you get the hit! And that’s dumb! And the same thing with other weapons! No, if you can see the end of my gun, there is no reason why that character should be killed even if you hit it!!! I don’t know….. it makes zero sense, and I’ve noticed (at least where I play and know what kind of people/players they are, the only ones that think that new rule is good for the game are the same people that use to get caught cheating all the damn time!!! so that should be enough said right there so no one should have to explain it to you or anyone else)! There are a lot more issues…. But this is already long enough! And honestly, no one actually cares anyways! Majority of people only care about something when they are in the process of not getting what they want!!! And that is it!

I think the commandos need at least one medic per unit. Not sure they were played right here, though when your opponent rolls 67 crits, strategy really doesn’t matter
