@@DD-zh9mr In general chips from frozen :) Easy and ready to use. Just normal gastronomical chips. Nothing special comparing to freshly handcut chips. There are two kinds of ready gastronomical.chips, frozen and more "sophisticated", fresh in bags from wholesale :) What I prefere? Just to peel and cut patatoes in the kitchen, dry and put on oil. Simple, but best mostly at home. In take aways or smaller fish and chips they have no time to do it, so they need to use ready solutions available on a market. I spent years working in wholesales with fruit and vegs, so please believe me that I know what I am talking about )
Was going to visit on Sunday with the wife, just wasn't sure what you meant about the chips 😅, chippy chips are what you want, proper peeled potato chips, for the price that's what you expect, wasn't want to come across cheeky, thanks
Hi pal, went today, the fish was beautiful, but I see what you mean about the chips,I've probably had better fresh cut and cooked better chips closer to home (Hamilton, Scotland)wasn't impressed by the curry sauce, but for 2 large fish suppers and a normal size fish supper for my daughter, £41 ,you can't complain, come try the Alhambra in Bellshill, you can sit in and get a large fish supper with drink of your choice, bread and butter, mushy peas 🫛 for £12:50,please come and try
@@DD-zh9mr Bellshill is close to Motherwell, so will put it on my list as we have a plan to try Polish kebab in Motherwell. I have no idea yet when it will be as we are very busy in professional life at the present.
@@eh64ta Chips are only side for a fish and fish was great, fresh with thin, crispy, not fat covering which I love :) Chips were I would say gastronomical range, just a chips, nothing more. Sorry, that's just my taste :))
