Glad to see you back doing reviews for Roadfly. Watching you drop your top, the car's top, was informative but would rather have had the black box appear then than later when the other top was dropped.
I have watched several of your videos, and I have to say... You're my favorite. You make it seem like looking at cars is something that someone should enjoy rather than dreading because of the pushy salesman. I can't tell you how many times I would go look at a car and I know more than the salesman. You're very personable and extremely knowledgeable about these vehicles. Keep up the awesome job and I look forward to what you drive next!

Another great review, Emme - and nice to have Roadfly back. If I may humbly suggest: please tell Charlie & the head office that it's not good for the channel to vanish into thin air for over a month - with no reviews, postings or explanation. If there is some reason, people will be understanding & accepting. Otherwise, their attention will drift to other car channels...

its for fuel economy.. a hydraulic setup uses more fuel than electronic steering setups and with the CAFE regulations getting tighter automakers are doing everything they can do get as many MPGs as possible

It's about time you showed the girls. I have been waiting years for that. They are real and spectacular. Kudos. BTW love your reviews too. However I disagree on the 7 speed manual. The pdk is the shizzel. Once I drove it, I was like why would you row your own ever again? Keep up the good work.

Your laugh at 4:54 makes me wish I'd gotten the manual instead of the PDK!
What's wrong with the PDK?
Javion Jemerson Nothing, it's an amazing gearbox and an astounding gear box. I now have an Audi RS5, and the S-Tronic isn't nearly as smooth and seamless as the PDK. Having said all that, nothing really compares to rowing your own gears, and the connection with the car that comes from doing so, and I'm willing to bet the 7-speed manual in the 991 is incredible.

Javion Jemerson I've only ever driven a base dealership loaner A4 with the 2.0t, and my RS5 with the 4.2 V8. The base A4 is a nice comfortable car. The RS5 is a monster with stiff suspension and an exhaust note that either makes children clap and smile, or cry. Downshifts on the S-Tronic transmission seem like they should shatter nearby windows. I love it. In comfort mode it really calms down a lot, though the suspension always remains a bit rough--a minor detraction from an otherwise amazing car.
KingPNW ok, I was actually going for a used Audi R8. I test drove and it feels comfortable. Shifts fast, goes like hell and very easy to drive. Surprisingly, there is nothing wrong with it and almost 3 thousand miles. Very good price

Emme, So the question is... What's better, this or the Corvette? I would normally compare it to the base corvette convertible, however I believe that the price tag necessitates a comparison to the 427 convertible.
You mean Ross doesn't fit in the back seat? They should make the bottoms of the seats fold up, instead of the backs folding down, like in an extended-cab pickup. It's more useful that way.

Emme you've kind of missed the point about stiffness. Stiffness lends to stability, weight determines both speed and handling (inertia). So yeah the convertible may be as stiff as the coupe but it's porkier, which means it won't handle so well. Is the trade off worth it? I guess it all depends on what you're buying the car for. Personally I'd go with the convertible as I wouldn't be tracking a non GT3 911.
