PDK stands for Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (which are 23 letters to be exact 😉). And being a native German speaker, I can tell you there’s no other word for this. In English you would simply put this in three words: double clutch gearbox. Which is just slightly shorter after all but if one is not used to long German words I see the point that such words do appear overwhelming 😅
However I don’t think that they expect non-German-speaking Porsche drivers to learn German, actually that’s why they’ve made the abbreviation I think 😉
