    The legendary Riddim Twins played on an estimated 200,000+ tracks as well as producing many more. Truly incredible. I was blessed to see them live with Black Uhuru in the 1980s and on the Taxi Gang tour of Europe, and they were amazing. Bless up!

      They did not play on 200.000 tracks, because that is absolutely impossible.
      51 years recording career (1970 - 2021) = 18.615 days. 200.000 divided by 18.615 = 10,74 or roughly 11 songs PER DAY. Do you seriously believe that Sly & Robbie recorded 11 songs per day/7 days per week for the last 51 years?

    It was one of the biggest joys of my life getting to see my main man Freddie McGregor from the front row in San Diego around 1988-1990. Imagine my even greater joy when I saw he was being backed by Sly and Robbie!!! 🤩

    Had the pleasure of going into a second hand shop and finding an old cassette of Sly and Robbie's, a truly wonderful ensemble of beautiful sounds. May he rest in peace until the good Lord Yeshua resurrects him, and all the sorely missed pioneers of an amazing battle against the Devil's system. Stand firm in the Power of theMost High God Jahoviah.

    I totally agree 100% with this video clip? These two artists are the Best of the Best..... Sly & Robbie have so, so, many tracks and they are on thousands of albums. I've seen these two live in Seattle? It was my best reggae show so far was Sly and Robbie and then Groundation had me feeling in ways never before felt. Respect.

      Right....Yet in some Bass Player Magazine editions, that publication fails to list Robbie Shakespeare and often citing Wailers' cornerstone Aston Family Man Barrett...And whenever it does, these 2 often sat at number 38 or below.... Good Lord 😳😳😳😳

      @Dubme2poss ปีที่แล้ว

      I have to say that he too, Ashton Familyman Barret is another amazing reggae artist whom I associate all along with Lee Perry. Pound per pound..... . I see Sly and Robbie and Aston Barret equally the same? You want a artist to be part of an album because you want the best at what they do( Proffesonals) You were able to rely on these three individuals.

    Amazing to think that when i was 10 years old i never really paid much attention to reggae (mainly because me dad hated it)..
    But I'd loved Hip Hop since the late seventies and especially as a young adult living in the 1980s.
    I first heard Boops To Go on a radio station that Mike Allen was hosting.
    I was probably about 13 then.
    Firrrrrrrrreya..
    I loved the track and wasnt even aware this was reggae.
    But now I am 50 and for the last 30 years I've thrived on Sly And Robbies earlier 1970s sound!
    The Aggrovators are still my favourite sound.
    But I will be checking out The Mighty Diamonds too!
    Just proves that school lessons are always with you in life, learning a musical sound comprehension and admiration.
    Nice 1 R.A.S 1 ❤

    World musical heroes. Lot of people using them inventions.
    There's a big lawsuit now usa court on the fake genre called reggaeton. Steelie and cleevie should forever receive royalties. This music is for the black African children of the future.

    • @United-States-of-Africa
      @United-States-of-Africa ปีที่แล้ว

      @AGOmodern exactly what it supposed to mean. The hard work an legacy should be for Africans children to enjoy of the future. Not some people in Puerto Rico and Southern America. The black people who began reggae in Spanish are not the ones benefit today. That's a fact. Is the mostly white light skin Spanish artists making billions. I may not be able to stop people from copying but royalties should be paid. Lot of the music Jamaican copy from America in the earlier days they dint earn much off it because they didn't own it. Now when people like steelie an cleevie invent something that a particular group use over 30 years now they should pay royalties.

    Brother I had to put my sound system on 10 to hear the man speak in the opening clip ... than your voice came in and blew up my sound system.. grrrr. You are allowed to change the volume of the clips you import to make your videos you know ?? lol.. You do good work so i'll cut you so slack .. But really just checking your volumes before publishing will make your content better than many creators out there because they are all guilty of this same volume problem. Most people catch on to the visual editing but when it comes to sound recording techniques mastering etc that is out of most peoples depth.. typically a youtube video will be heavy on the visuals and weak in the audio department.. A common one is that their stock intro clip has been mastered to some random level and then the new video content starts and pays no respect to the volume setup by the intro volume.. etc etc etc.. Love my reggae music ..Played it for years at clubs concerts and festivals across North America and still play to this day.. keep them coming..

    Sure they made 200.000 songs. That is IMPOSSIBLE! Lets say they recorded music since 1970 until Robbies death in 2021. That are 51 years or 18.615 days. To record 200.000 songs it would mean that these two had to record 11 SONGS PER DAY/7 DAYS A WEEK for 51 YEARS IN A ROW. So its safe to say that this "estimation" of 200.000 recorded tracks is absolute nonsense.
