I saw the Twinkle Brothers several times in the 1980s. The best time at the Brixton Academy 83 with Misty in Roots. Nice one from South London

I was introduced to The Twinkle Brothers thirty years ago, and have always loved their music. Thank you for this channel and the thoughtful histories included.

I grew up listening to Twinkle Brothers LPs, their killer Dub LPs such as the Dub Massacre series and many other artists who they produced. TB alongside the Mighty Diamonds were consistent throughout the 70s,80s,90s,2000s...real reggae veterans

I still remember the first time I heard them in ( on a tape deck, not live😂) in 1981, blew me away Jehovah in dub, then when Shaka played.. what a pairing, that vibe took you on a spiritual journey…

Along with Augustus Pablo, Twinkle Brothers are my top music artists. Positive and spiritual vibes. Burden Bearer was my favorite album.; every track is special. Interesting to learn about their early history.

Thank you for the background info on the Twinkle Brothers. Great band. It's a pity you omitted that the Virgin Records produced album 'Love' contains the seminal 'Free Africa'; an anti-colonialism rallying war-cry which provided catharsis for Africans in an Ian-Smith/ Apartheid era globe. Also the heavy hitting Rasta anthems 'Jah Kingdom Come' & 'Jahoviah', showcasing the righteous riddims & melodious harmonies. These songs plus the album Countryman's 'Since I throw the comb away' exhibit wonderfully the haunting and staple sound of the Twinkle Brothers. Peace.

Their work with a popular Polish group (whose name is too complicated for me to even remember) in the 90s was very intriguing.
