    Hi, thanks for this video. Is there a step for evening routine,dry sensitive skin? Should I still use toner before spraying avene mist?

    Hello! Thank you so much for the video! Glad I found your channel! It's like a hidden gem! I have a question: why we need to tap off the excess of water? To not dilute the next product we apply onto our skin?

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Anastasiia,
      Yes, there are many reasons. First, the skin absorbs some of it, and the rest remains on the skin's surface. This means it essentially sits there and does nothing. And as you've already pointed out, applying the product on wet skin can dilute the product, often creating a smeary texture, potentially altering the formulation's pH, or causing skincare pilling.
      I know many videos suggest otherwise. I think this misunderstanding primarily comes from Hyaluronic Acid. Many people believe that Hyaluronic Acid will absorb the water present on or even within the skin, drawing it up from deeper layers. However, this isn't possible as the Hyaluronic Acid in the product formulation is already saturated. So, in reality, there are no advantages to applying products on dry or damp skin-only potential drawbacks.
      Thank you! 🙂

    Can we also use avene spray in this routine? Cleanser, BHA liquid exfoliant, snail mucin, spray, hyaluronic acid and then moisturizer? In the mornings, I 'm using the inkey list 15% vitamin C, can I also cleanse, snail mucin, spray, hyaluronic acid them vitamin C, moisturizer and spf?

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, however, it's not really needed. Use the spray before or after PC BHA. Also, please do not apply your Hyaluronic Acid serum on wet skin after spraying your face with water, that's bullshit and just causes issues.

    Can i use this before my tretinoin?

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, just use the tretinoin on its own.
      Clean face with a cleanser suitable for your skin type (avoid exfoliating acid cleansers).
      Pat dry with a clean towel.
      Wait 15 minutes.
      Apply a pea-sized amount of tretinoin, avoiding the eyelids, corners of the eyes, nose, and lips.
      If you want to use a moisturizer, give it another 15 minutes before layering it on top.

      I would not mix it, but layering it is fine. Mixing it may dilute the product, and then it may not properly absorb anymore.

    sorry for this off topic question but it'll be great if you could help me a lill bit here :")
    I started using the "Heimish All Clean Mandarin cleansing balm" today and I noticed in the ingredient list that it has a lot of citrus fruit oils in it. Now, I use the "Ordinary Retinol 1% In Squalene" every night (except for the night I use expholient). As people say that we should not use Retinol with AHA, BHA and Vit C, will I face any problem if I use retinol this cleansing balm which has citrus in it?
    my routine is like this:
    1. Heimish Mandarin cleansing balm 🙌🙌🙌🙌
    2. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser
    3. Ordinary Niacinamide
    4. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for dry to very dry skin
    5. Ordinary Retinol 1% 🙌🙌🙌🙌
    6. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream for dry to very dry skin
    As you can see, after I use that cleansing balm, I use cleanse and use 2 products before I use the retinol. as the balm is a cleanser, it also gets wash away. So do you think using Retinol with it will be okay?

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! :)
      Don't worry about it - the cleansing balm won't affect your Retinol :)

    What happens if the thermal water spray gets inside my mouth? is edible?

    • @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet
      @MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet  ปีที่แล้ว

      If a small amount accidentally gets inside your mouth, it is unlikely to cause any significant harm, but it is still advisable to spit it out and rinse your mouth with water.
