Also note that of Willis’ two incompletions, one was a throw away, and the other one was right on the money, but the receiver couldn’t bring the ball down after getting hit by a defender. So basically, every single one of this throws got to where they were meant to go.
GB has an excellent QB coach in Tom Clemens and Lafleur is a solid play caller. A lot of entrenched, quality QB history. But credit to the team. Good blocking, good running, and a defense that didn't force GB into a pass heavy attack. This was a game we used to lose, but this one just felt good
I mean I think it just depends on the QB. They gave up on michael pratt after a single training camp, and guys like Tim Boyle spent years here. It's one thing to draw up a good game plan.....it's another thing to get the entire team to execute it nearly flawlessly. Even all 3 of GB's punts were downed inside the 16 with 2 inside the 10. Total team win.
Our one nagging issue right now is we don't score touchdowns in the red zone. 49ers last year, Philly last week...we get early turnovers with great field position. Come away with 3 or nothing. Against the colts, same thing. This game should've been over early. We let teams hang around when they shouldn't
Preach it!!! 1000000%! Multiple more Super Bowls if we score just one touch down in some nfc champ games. As a packers fan for 20 years we have almost ALWAYS let teams linger and hang in the game. We hardly put anyone away and then it leads to a blown game. 😔
@@christopherweise438in a perfect game, Jacobs 1st TD doesn’t get called back for the hold, he holds the ball into the endzone, and we don’t miss the FG. Proud of the win, but I think the whole league looks at this win differently if we end it 30-10.
People are forgetting that this particular game plan worked because of the THREAT of Willis mobile abilities. That's why it opened up the run so much. Now imagine game planning for this once Malik learns their full playbook and builds chemistry with those receivers? Sky's the limit because Malik can make ALL the throws. I honestly think it's for games like that, late in December with the season on the line, that we brought in Josh Jacobs. I don't think they thought they would have to lean on him like that so soon. No one could have forseen Love's absence. Yet, they were prepared to do so. Simply amazing.

You don't need to prepare him when he played against the worst defense in the league and let Josh Jacobs run for 200 yards in the first half. He literally did not even have to play at all.
I've been saying it since March when they, they're winning superbowl... got rid of barrys worthless *** and got someone that knows what he's doing and they pick up Xavier Mckinney who thrives in that type of d haffley wants to play, second half of last season offense showed what they can do, d showed plenty of talent and what they're capable of.... this is just a snack of what's to come
