  • Olaplex came through with a new product, and I was so excited to try it! No 0 primes and preps the hair for the No 3 treatment and contains a their concentrated bond smoothing agent. Sounds intriguing...but it it worth it?

    Thank you for making a SHORT and honest vid! So many TH-camrs are SO boring when they chitty chitty talk talk about their personal lives and giggle. It is SO annoying, when all I want is information that gets right to the point instead of skipping the first 2 - 4 minutes of "content" to even start on good information. Please hold up the bottles and SHOW us what you're holding instead of waving them around so we can't see them. I hate having to use closed caption to catch what you're talking about. Currently in the process of trying the 0. What I found helped my no.3 treatment was alternating it with a protein mask. I found after using Shea moisture yogurt hydrating mask I got much Better results from the olapex 3. Making me feel confident to not need to do treatments as often.

    Fellow nurse here ❤️. I def see a difference after using no 0 in conjunction with 3. I love them both! I saw an Olaplex rep comment that said u don’t have to saturate the hair with 0..just damp..as the formula is very concentrated. New subbie 👍

  • @christyp7680
    @christyp7680 4 ปีที่แล้ว +25

    No. 0 I assume is more in line with having a stand alone treatment at a salon. They first take no1 and dilute it with water and apply. Then they take no2 and apply that on top. The percentages of actual actives are probably lower in the at home version. If your hair is damaged from bleaching and such this is a great way of mitigating some of that damage. If your hair isn't chemically processed, you probably don't need as intensive of a treatment as no0+no3 provide.

    With getting saturation with this product with density and length than you have us professionals would recommend using a little at a time, use a wide tooth comb and add as needed. Your hair doesn’t need to be dripping, just appear wet like :) I hope this helps! It should only take the first like inch of product in the bottle because it is so concentrated!

    The 0 is same product you could only get a treatment with at salons a few years ago for a $100. So for $28 I’ll try it. My hair is highlighted & thick & coarse & frizzy. My hair has always been strong so I don’t need the strength. I think the only thing that changes hair strength & falling out is vitamins like biotin & collagen. The Olaplex system makes my hair smooth & soft.

    Your hair is so beautiful, I can only dream of. Regarding the loss of the product, you can use a big washing bowl while applying this, then you can recuperate what you've lost (you can squirt the product right back in-Guy Tang trick). I use the stand alone treatment no. 1 diluted with water so it's the same thing but I can choose the concentration and quantity with water. I wish they have put this before on the market...! I'm saving my money to buy the whole shabang, then again I'm saying this for 2 years now 🤔...

    I love Ola Plex not all of their stuff though. If you watch some of the videos of the creators of all of Plex they have even said it’s not hydrating so it’s really important that you condition. All this does is reconnects bonds in the hair. It’s a great product and I mean absolutely amazing. Especially for those with curly or frizzy hair because they tend to have thin and thicker parts in one strand. It’s imperative that you condition and use a hydrating mask.

    Something that I don’t recall you mentioning is whether or not you go to the salon ever to get the number one and two treatments? If so I wonder if that has a bearing on you not seeing a difference with number “0”? I chatted with OLAPLEX and they told me that number zero has more of the active ingredient than the number three so not sure how it would not be as beneficial, if not more. Just wondering what you think about that? I’m on the fence with zero now but I do have it in my OLAPLEX shopping cart!

    I’m currently sat with number 0 on my hair I had an olaplex done at my hair salon and bought the number 3 to use at home following it unlike all the rave reviews I have read I don’t find it makes my hair any smoother infact my hair feels the same as it has always felt I have slightly wavy hair and I chemically dyed but I have no doubt behind the scenes this stuff has made my hair stronger as my hair is now growing beyond the length I was able to grow it to before so something is working and I’m going to invest in the rest of the system and see if the overall condition improves with time because I am seeing changes not silky changes but definitely changes to its strength . This is my first time of using the 0 with the number 3 other than what my hairdresser done at the salon.

Also olaplex told me on instagram to put it on clean dry hair and I messaged and ask should I wash them dry then apply number 0 then 3 and then wash them condition. That’s is way to much work for me. Try using number 3 once or twice a week and leaving it minimum 40 minutes then alternate with a deep hydrating conditioning treatment. Michelle K did u use number 3?

    • @michellek1121
      @michellek1121 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      jagir yes, I’ve used number 3 twice a week leaving it on for a couple hours each time and saw no improvement at all. I have the whole Olaplex line with the exception of the new primer. I haven’t used any heat tools in months and haven’t gotten highlights since March. Hoping to eventually find something that works for my hair. Thanks!

      Starmane I typically leave no 3 on for a couple hours when I use it. Maybe I’ll try using no 3, shampooing my hair and then putting in a deep conditioner. Thanks!

      No.6 helps protect against heat damage but be mindful it doesn't say how much heat it protects your hair from so i wouldn't use it as your only form of heat protection but the olpalex No.7 bonding oil protects hair from heat up to 450f

      Have you tried to apply it overnight? It didn't do much for me when i left it for 30 minutes, but than i tried saturating my hair with generous amount and leaving it overnight, i covered my head with the plastic bag and a tshirt on top :) the next morning when i washed it omg my hair was so silky and untangled, it is stil dry looking, but very soft and manageable ,hopefully with time it will not only feel better,but also look better.

    SO helpful, thank you! I’ll skip the primer. I have everything else except the oils so they’re getting enough of my money, lol. My salon does the treatment (for $90 yikes) so maybe someday I’ll splurge and see the secret nos. 1 and 2.
