Mad props man. For someone who "Isn't a professional Welder", you definitely show other wise. I've been a fabricator for almost 7 years now and I've seen countless guys claim to be First class welders and "oh, I can weld anything you got" and in reality they couldn't stick to pieces of wet dog shit together. Never sell yourself short my man. Keep up the good work like this, you honestly blew it outta the park. Now I got the itch to build a bad ass cage set up !
Dude you could kill it in the fab/welding industry of these trucks. If you found a shop willing to hire a helper you would have a huge advantage over other applicants. There will be a learning curve obviously cause of the size change lol But you have the foundation of a very talented fabricator and welder!
You are a very talented young man not only with your fabrication your suspension understanding and the control you posses while running them is best ive seen id like to see you in ten years your future is definitely going to be impressive
Seriously amazing welding skills dude...for all of you asking how to learn; buy the equipment and start practicing! Clearly Cyconxc has been at this for a while!
Hello mate, I'm a Sheet metal tradesman of 26 hrs and this is the bomb!!! I make some pretty cool stuff too outside work , Love to see some rc stuff being done in metals :-) ,New sub!!!! :-) :-) :-) cheers from Australia Yeeewwww
Just the basic's: What thickness are you using for the whole chassis? - When you use a 5mm steelrod when using the TIG, do you use alot? It seems like it's small amounts of wire. Again.. i bow down to the master, i'm glad you started this series with the showcase from ground up - I'm deeply inspired.
The whole fabrication process is eye candy! I started welding my own full tube chassis but with a cheap harbor freight welder lol, definitely gonna invest in a tig machine but so far my doodoo welds are working, May have to try grinding all them to clean them up after the chassis is finished, anyway great video and had inspired me to build my custom slash 2Wd chassis
Awesome video. Just a small piece of advice from a welder. Get yourself some welding sleeves. The light coming off the tig is sun burning your arms whether you feel it or not. After time it can do some damage. They're not too expensive but definitely worth it. For the time being a long sleeve shirt will do. Just figured I'd give you a heads up. Nice work.
I was wondering why your trucks run and look so scale! It’s because it’s built scale 🤯 dude !! Unreal!! Love it ! If they get heavy just through some lower gearing at it longer motors and look for 6 pole BL motors for your builds bigger bullets and EC5 or bigger connectors go a long way in bring down motor load/temp. Well worth if for how sick your trucks look and perform. 👍
You could do with travel limiter straps on front and rear or at least some fuel pipe on the shock shafts to stop blowing the shock's on heavy landing's and a bit inside the shock's to protect the lower seals, and hydraulic bump stops made from small touring car shocks 1/12th scale all round, and the rear shock mounts could do with a brace between them or angled onto the rear frame at the apex.I am impressed with how quickly it comes together, my suggestions are made as I have done the upgrades on my largescale and still trying to work out how to mount the hydraulic bump stops as my cages are made of plastic, but shock choice has been easier by using tenth scale shocks
With all things considered if I gave that 2nd shock some more low-end clearance the primary shock would of lost some travel. That's the exact reason I hate dual setups. You'll see in the later videos when I mess with the shocks some more. But yeah I've tried the whole mini shock bump stops. Fuel tubing works much better.
Cyconxc you should use travel limiters and bump stops they would add a better touch to the trucks and they use those on the real trucks so the suspension doesn't pull itself apart or blow them out on hard landings
This is insanely cool. Makes me want to build a custom chassis for my Tmaxx running gear. Side note. Looks like your using a lift start machine? Just a word of caution if you jump to a High frequency start they play hell with nearby electronics so I'd be careful around cameras. My radio is mounted under my bench and it goes full regard if I forget and strike an arc near it. Love the content.
If you brush the area to be welded with a clean stainless brush and cut off the gray oxidized nub of the filler rod before welding, you'll get much cleaner, stronger, and prettier results. Really nice design. I've got some aluminum rod I want to do something similar with. Using aluminum for weight and heat dissipation. Looks like you're using a Traxxas Slash front end. Are you going to use a Yeti transmission?
Did you use Slash 4x4 parts for the front end and center diff? Thinking of getting a roller for a TT conversion with a wheely king axle I have lying around....
Bad ass little build man! I've though about welding up a 5th scale and putting a little weed wacker engine in it. Question, what flow rate are you running? Saw on a few of those welds a couple pixies flying around. Might have just been dirty metal too. Look forward to this build
What tubing are you using? Size? Carbon steel or what? And what do you use for plate stock? The aluminum and steel. When I had free time at the shop I worked for I use to build chassis’s with 1/8 inch tig rod. Now I have my own shop and want to try this. And btw if you’re building cages why not try custom a arms?
Do you have any recommendations for a first rc? I'm looking for a cheapish one like for under $225, most likes 2wd and a short course truck, any suggestions? I'm thinking HPI Blitz but I have nowhere to buy one
He is using a TIG welder. In the right hands you can end up with some very sexy welds by using a TIG welder. Next to nothing for spatter which is why he can do it inside his house.
Real men tig weld in the dinning room. Serious skills my dude, you're gonna go far
Lol everyone says that, it's actually our finished basement that has a side kitchen
fair enough, have you ever worked with 3D printed parts at all? as far as interiors or Led mounting?
You should build a nitro trophy truck next!
If you don't have a job building frames for all facets of motorsport, you deserve one. No joke. You are way ahead already.

Best rc chassis building videos I have watched on TH-cam!!! 😎
JSfab908 awesome thank you 🙌
This was a joy to watch! I felt really relaxed and just enjoyed every moment of it!

This chassis got so Owesome! It will be dificulto to decide to play with or without the body! Nyce work man!
I actually think that you could make a legit company with the work you do man
When I watch this all I can say is wow, and I wish I could do that. Looking forward to seeing the next video
Unbelievably talented....looks insane
You are a very talented young man not only with your fabrication your suspension understanding and the control you posses while running them is best ive seen id like to see you in ten years your future is definitely going to be impressive
This thing is coming along nicely! It's looking sick!

So entertaining! That's art man! Love it.
Loved all your vids so far but it's awesome to see the build process buddy!
The best rc car suspension is in custom rc cars and dang your really good at this stuff
amazing craftmanship wish i had the skills to do this
Danny Video Edits i wish i had the money to buy a welder like his
max its actually a cheaper one for a tig still a perfect unit for something like this
Great work! Thanks for keeping us updated! This will be one heck of a trophy truck!
Ethan Boening 👍👍👍
Awesome! I want to make my own 4x4 truck chassis, I apreciate you for showing us this!
Watching the struggle man lol. I hate scratch start. Doin good work man. Keep it going.
Lol yep, the foot pedal helps a lot though. Thanks

Anti Hero appreciate the heads up, I'll try to wear long sleeves from now on.

AND NOW TO START A NEW PROJECT SMH LIKE I NEED MORE LOL THX FOR THA IDEA AND GREAT VID
Looks awesome man can't wait to see your bumper video 🤘🤘
Killer job man ! Great work
you are an rc god! awesome build. you have a new subscriber bro.
Looks great. Iv always said I need a tig welder. Weddi g scale cages with a mig is not a easy thing to do but I will manage for now
Hey great build very inspiring keep up the good content enjoy video like this 👍🏽
Mastercraftsman! Great work 👌
Does any other people exist who sell custom rc cars?? I think u are the only one....
Nice video by the way
Could you make a video on suspension geometry and trailing arm angles for custom rc trucks?
Good stuff bro can't wait till the next video
Yay I've been waiting for this vid thanks cycon

Cyconxc also you shouldn't be welding in your house u need ventilation
Excellent video series man. Thanks for sharing 🤙🏼
949 Designs thanks man glad you're enjoying it 👌
Amazing work!
cool build!
Nice work man!
That looks sweet dude...
Awesome video very nice build great job thumbs up
It looks dope!
This is awesome 👌 👏
You my friend are awesome 👏
You should build an Ultra 4 car. That would be sweet.
This is insanely cool. Makes me want to build a custom chassis for my Tmaxx running gear.

God Fucking damn!!!! That actualy looks soo cool
Cuz I like them sooooo much
Awesome work

Looking good! Can't wait to see the next video! Keep up the awesome work! What kind of tig welder are you using?
Thanks Wes, part 3 coming tomorrow. I'm using a thermal arc 95s 👍
Dang can't wait to see it done what scale is this
U deserve waaay more views 4 this
Awesomeness
Thanks! Very interesting! 👍
This project Im guessing has a value between 1500 to 2K if you'd chose to sell it...amazing work again!
Played all of the adds on this one!! Also how do you mount the top arms do u have two bulkheads?
Wow man have you ever try to do a monster truck chassis
What front arm/ rear trailing arm do you use? Are they from the yeti score?
you should a scaled v8 install!
Hello amazing craftsmanship I was just wondering what circular metal you are using for the roll cage
Love it bro
quick tip use your filler rod to start your arc
Hey bro sick video is it hard welding such small of a roll cage because I’m doing something like that
Did you use Slash 4x4 parts for the front end and center diff? Thinking of getting a roller for a TT conversion with a wheely king axle I have lying around....

Sorry for digging this old vid up... what is your tig welding setup ? any cheap and easy ?
Thanks

Hey nice build! Can you tell me the name of the tool which you used to solder the metall?
So when are going to start your full scale trophy truck racing business?
Awesome! I don't think I could afford the materials, but I do have Legos. ;)
Do you have a plan for sorting the Camber as it has toe out and you will have a lot of bump steer with upper and lower arms pivoting on the same axis.
It's still early on in the build, that stuff can be straightened out with a few simple adjustments.
How hard would it be to do stainless tubing instead of solid bar? I weld stainless aircraft exhaust all day at work and wanted to build one of these.
“IF” you were to sale these how much would you sale for. Cause this is just amazing work and I love it.
nice !!!!!
Have you ever had issues with welds breaking, or any components of any chassis bending?
nice Technique is art
The clothes are a little crumpled
Do you build off of plans? Nice work, I see you scratch starting your welds. What's your setup on the tig dialed in at?
What kind of set up are you using beside a tig? Like with or without gas ?
Where did you get your welder and metal from ?
Nice
Wow very nice work . Ich have the same plan but i don´t know where i can get the rear axle? Can u show me a link ?
Thanks, you can purchase the axle here www.metalconceptsrc.com/shop/tt10-rear-solid-axle
Hello, nice job man.
Hey how much do you think will cost ready to run?
it's cool
what suspension parts are you using for this buildsuch as front arms, hubs, axles are rear arms. Would help so much.
Front hubs and diff are slash 4x4, the rest of the suspension parts are from Metal Concepts.
If only life had a mirror tool.
this is gas or electric welding and where you bought it, you can link if there is?
Well now I need to dust off my welding helmet thanks for the insperation!
Do you have any recommendations for a first rc? I'm looking for a cheapish one like for under $225, most likes 2wd and a short course truck, any suggestions? I'm thinking HPI Blitz but I have nowhere to buy one
Are you using a arc welder? Thanks
He is using a TIG welder. In the right hands you can end up with some very sexy welds by using a TIG welder.
Next to nothing for spatter which is why he can do it inside his house.
Hi Gecko! :D
I'm using a Thermal Arc 95s TIG
Cyconxc ok, I am used to welding with mig. I am getting a welder that does all three types soon. Going to be build an custom rc rock bouncer. Thanks
Scratch start tig
What are those a arms there perfect
This stuff is absolutely amazing. Did you make those a-arms yourself?
