Having spent the first 20 years of my life camping constantly I learned that you should spray bug spray on your wheels as well as cracks, crevices, windows etc. Wipe your shoes good before going inside and don't park underneath a tree (bugs fall down). Just some advice!

Brunswick, Ga., is now etched in my memory. Last summer, driving to Florida, we had a tire develop a bulge due to age and heat, and had to replace it in Brunswick. On the way home we had the same develop on two other tires, not far from Brunswick. So we went to the same tire shop and replaced the remaining three, for a discount that they very kindly provided for replaceing all four. We didn't make it to the downtown, however.
I grew up down there, really special place, that small church was recently burned down by vandals, the community came together and rebuilt it, really inspirational story, thanks for the videos Adam,

I mean look how much time & effort & human lives were spent on that fort, only to be abandoned soon after it was built. It definitely gives one pause. I love making Brunswick Stew. When I was a kid... our church used a huge iron kettle, bigger than the one shown in this video, to cook it up. Basically I think we walked by with a Styrofoam bowl, they filled it and we paid a little bit for it to support the church. Delicious! Georgia is a pretty state, safe travels Adam!

We have friends who live in Florida - various cities = Tampa - Clermont and Jacksonville - but when we use to go down once or twice a year they would joke that we were always trying to sneak into FL because we would always come different ways - often choosing the smaller - back roads off the interstate - because when traveling 11-12 hours straight - we liked the more interesting paths where we could see more things and not get bored on the long flat concrete interstates - So glad you do too

you might think about hitting Nauvoo Illinois. it right on the Mississipi, and the entire town is built as if it were the 1840s. Everything is free. The history of the town is fascinating.
Love the paper mill in Brunswick, my girls call me crazy, I think its because when I was little there was no Interstate and we went right by the paper mill on our way to SC. Btw, it was nice to meet you at Spooky Empire.

I was on the road in that neck of the woods some 29 years ago traveling from from Florida to New Hampshire. That was before one had easy internet access to do research about all the cool sights to see in the area.All my "Columbo like research skills" were limited to AAA Trip-Tic's. Anyone remember those things? Feels like I was using pioneer technology compared to what is out there today. It is somewhat bitter sweet as I saw some great sights but I realize how much I missed simply by not knowing what was out there. I love technology!
in Hacienda Heights California by the Puente Hills Mall there is a park across the street from the Puente Hills Mall I can't remember the name off of hand but they have a tree there it's an oak tree that's probably 600 years old and it's way bigger than the tree you're looking at there believe it or not it has a branch that goes across the little stream that you can walk across and it's Hollow you can climb up through it really cool tree it's the same mall that Back to the Future was filmed at that mall?

That's it schabarum Park I know it used to be called something a long time ago when it first open it's about halfway up the park and it's a kind of along the stream if you know where the stream is you will find it and it's not really by any playgrounds that's the problem but I've heard they put a fence around it now because too many people were crawling all over it I'm surprised you never seen it it's cute one of the branches goes across the stream and stuff to check it out it's really cool it was one of my favorite spots as a kid I went to Rowland High School in the eighties! So those were my hangouts as a kid!

Adam you should visit Kings Mtn.Battleground state park in Kings Mtn. North Carolina it would be right down your alley, i grew up in Kings Mtn., NC and we had all of our Family Reunions there and camped out, it is and awesome place .
I see that Boars Nest shirt you have on there. A visit to Valdosta Georgia I think should be in your future. There is a speed trap there, just a heads up.
Should have gone over the bridge to St. Simons Island and visited Christ Church and the Light House and the Bloody Marsh (and everything else that's awesome there). Then could have taken Route 17 up to Darien and beyond and seen lots of cool things along the way. Much better than I-95. My family and I love watching your daily vlogs!

That was a "spring pole lathe" Used for turning wood in round shapes. It was foot powered and the wooden pole was a spring.
