The next release will be "Mind Games Nutopian Mix", twelve tracks of different kinds of silence with added silence by Sean. Best listened to in Dolby Surround
😂 thank you for your comedic genius
While reading the luxurious hand finished, two hundred page book that accompanied the release, each page devoid of any content.
@@Ace-nr8dr Before or after the Dance Remix of the Two Virgins Albums?
Don't forget on the CD, you can rewind back past the start of the first track to hear that silence played backward.
@@moxievision if you do that, you’ll get John’s recipe for homemade bread!
Happy birthday Sir John Lennon and Son Sean!!!Beautiful Mind Games Meditation Album Beautiful clear vinyl reminds me Of Iceland and the memorial there clear clear Beautiful feeling!!!Thank you Andrew for showing ! Thanks John PAUL GEORGE AND RINGO Sean and Yoko and all Beatle people!
@johnalello9233 John is not a "Sir". I do not believe that he would have accepted it. (Bowie didn't.) John returned his MBE in 1969.
Andrew said it best: “This is not for everyone”. If you’re having a hostile reaction to this release (for whatever inexplicable personal reason), don’t buy it! Don’t waste your time complaining about it.
I agree - I think Sean and his team are being very creative with this stuff. 👍
As long as he owns the copyright on the recordings, he can do whatever he wishes with it, and nobody has to buy it, as you said.
I'm now listening to it on Apple Music...
…I agree that no one is forced to buy it …but having an opinion regarding it cannot solely depend on owning it, in this case even more so …

Thanks for this mid-week surprise video 😊
A video on Wednesday? Awesome!
I'm glad that there are people who will enjoy this.
For people who can't afford the cube this is a much more realistic option. Good video again as always Andrew
Glad you dedicated a spot to review this: Interesting project.
Happy birthday to both Sean & John.
Thank you for explaining to us what this is & how it works!
Your content especially on the technicallities and science behind the vinyl and musical production in regard to the recording process ,is totally unique and also fascinating ,a real treat ( not only for"Techies",) but your narrative is really accessible for all those interested in the techniques being used on that period ,which were exceedingly high, also your tutorial on vinyl care ,Brillant, love the show .Always a treat
Thank you kindly.
Hi Andrew, interesting little video. Didn't know about this release. I love it when music becomes a true art form proving nothing is impossible... relax and float downstream. Thanks Ross
Thank You John! Happy Birthday To The Lennons! Groovy Surprise Show, Thanks Andrew! ☮🤍🎹🎂 🕘🌎
It must be good because I found myself yawning and rolling my eyes throughout this entire thing.
Happy birthday, John. Nice present.
The thinnest material in the world is graphene. Thanks to the Lennon estate we have a new entry at number two. An enjoyable overview as always thanks Andrew.
I don't get it.
They're referring to "substantiality".
Cool! What an imaginative project :)
Happy birthday John!
super interesting concept from sean! john would be proud of it im sure
You might say this was a "cash grab"... yet bootleggers were downloading the tracks online and selling these. I'm quite impressed by the presentation. Great artwork. Sean would be perfect to organize or revive Zapple records.
Andrew. Thank you. Great information, as always.
My pleasure!
Light therapy is being used on individual's who have had brain trauma.
Just recently (a couple of years back) there is a young man that saved many Americans when he tried to get everyone into a bomb shelter before a Iranian ballistic missle landed. Unfortunately for him, he did not make it inside the bunker and received the shock force of the missles explosion.
In the old days this was called , 'Shell Shock'.
He was so traumatized he just curled up in a ball ball and screamed for months.
There's a doctor in NY, that specializes in light and sound therapy and used it on this man.
To sum up, he was cured and is back on duty. He also received a medal for saving over 20 lives.
Light therapy works! I can't speak to the validity of the album's therapeutic healing properties, but I'm excited about this possibility. 😮
I did have a flicker test on the NHS and when they turned it up to the highest level of strobing I did see images that resembled one of those late-80s pop videos that are pastiching 60s psychedelia. So I know it works but I'm not convinced I like it.
Still, I don't mind if other people do want it.
I'm waiting for the "Imagine No Possessions" Uber Deluxe Release which is 1000 quid and doesn't actually supply any product....
Brilliant!
I think John would have liked this. In an era when politics has become not just mind games, but mind wars, we need to counter it as best we can. And this is clearly (pun intended) mind peace, which John would have greatly appreciated. Make peace, not war; on land, sea, and in your mind.
I am a fan of your videos Andrew, but for you to suggest that anyone who does not purchase this is not a "serious" John Lennon fan is an unfortunate stretch in my opinion.
This may well be an imaginative Sean Lennon project, but it has little to do with dad Lennon`s music and is another fancy (and expensive) art project from the Lennon estate.
Enough please.
I am placing the Instant Karma 45 on my turntable...and cranking it up, and we all shine on, and the dollars keep rolling in...
This release actually seems cool. It’s tempting, even for a guy like me who still thinks Mind Games is possibly the least interesting Beatle-related album.
What next - John Lennon Mind Games bubblegum cards....? Talk about flogging a dead horse.
Saved eighty bucks by downloading it on Apple Music!
Wow! What a treat visiting with Andrew on a Wednesday!! Thanks for this great news. I’ve for years wanted to hear a dub version of anything Lennon (Ranking Joe did a tribute years ago). Or Eno-esque possibly. So glad to hear of this!
Thanks for presenting this on a different day. In a way, befitting of this release!
Til Sunday then, cheers Andrew.
Cheers Brian. See you Sunday!
I think this is a cool release. It’s definitely not necessary but what a lot of people here don’t realize is that this release is not for them, it’s for a hyper niche audience who would even want or be able to meditate to vinyl, having to flip sides and discs, etc. Very nice video and on a Wednesday!! You’re spoiling us!!😊
That sounds really great. I think I'll listen to it on a streaming platform before deciding if I want to buy it or not. As always, your videos are interesting and kind of fun.
Lennon Estate clearly consists of some pretty clever people! ❤
Sean and Yoko. ;)
Thank you, Andrew! A video on Wednesday is the best breakfast I've had in a long time.
Without having listened to this yet I have absolutely no idea what to expect here. I'm well familiar with ambient music like the classic Eno albums and even bought the last Lou Reed archival release with mediative music, which I kinda liked, but this?
Whoa a video on a Wednesday 😮
Happy birthday to John and Ox
Great. Another variation to be added for posthumous box sets that are already crammed with too much content to justify higher prices.
These are so much fun. The mind games keep on coming! Bravo Sean.
Sadly no CD release
That was a nice surprise on a wet Wednesday afternoon here in the UK! Genuinely curious about how these sound so look forward to giving them a listen when they're released. Shame there's no CD but I gather a download is also an option.
My first encounter with locked grooves was Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music
WOW...Sean plays a watermelon! That should be a big single!
That did come across as a bit of a commercial. It must be difficult to be completely objective when you get a free gift from the Lennon Estate. Love the channel anyway.
Many thanks Andrew, needed this one✌️🤘👊
Wow!!! A Wednesday video? Hi Andrew!! :-)❤❤
John makes more money dead than alive.
Happy birthday, Sir.
The ugly and hateful comments I've seen towards Yoko and her son, John's son, have been absolutely sickening. But it's who they are and they enjoy hiding behind a keyboard and searching for cliques to spew hate.
Thank you so much for a positive view and sharing an upbeat vision for work that remains forward thinking.
I miss a CD version sadly.
Worth noting that binaural recordings are specifically designed for headphone/earbud listening, rather than on speakers.
The ears locate stereo imagery by both amplitude and time of arrival differences. Obviously with earphones each ear hears only its own signal, whereas on speakers each ear can hear both speakers. A good binaural recording already contains those TOA differences in each channel. Also you can more readily hear sounds from behind, so a much more immersive listening experience overall.
My guess is, Sean's been listening to those TH-cam vidz of Beatles tracks slowed down 800%, the lights gone off, and here we are. It's not a bad job truth be told, Just saying.
Why is this in better quality compared to the "normal" vinyl rerelease of the album??
Really is far out, man!
I think it was William Burroughs who popularised this flicker thing
a video on Wednesday due to John´s birthday!!!
This’ll be interesting
I purchased the Mind Games CD box set and while it is something extra-ordinary the final price was horrendous. I aslo purchased a number of Beatles CD (box sets if they were available. This cost me USD391 and by the time it was converted to AUD it was ~640. I queried the Beales shop about the conversion rate and I received a box standard repty. There is no doubt the Beatles shop was gouging me. Added to this I live in Thailand so added to that was 10% import duty and an extra 10% GST (VAT).
This has put me off buying any more CD's (I don't have room for a record player, amp and speakers, though that won't affect the price of recrdings. I spent a mind boggling amoumt on a Samsung sound bar capable of producing Dolby Atmos and a set of high end earphones (also capable of producing Dolby Atmos sound).
Until the price of CD's comes down I won't be purchasing anymore. I will just subscribe to Apple Music instead, at least that is only 169 bath a month (~USD5.50).
I lost my beloved vinyl muic collection for reasons I won't go into here.
End of rant. 🤮
Is this a wind-up? Dear lord.
Only problem is, only sides 1-5 are available for streaming. Side six is vinyl only.
0:58 Surely that's how to do Carnival Of Light? Paired with a VR headset? Anyone have Paul's number?
Mid week video? Is it Christmas?
It's Johnny's birthday!
We live in a world where the Lennon estate makes a bigger fuss of Mind Games than Imagine. 😂
Good review Andrew. Enjoy. I’ll be giving it a miss. I don’t believe in mantras someone once sang. I’m with him
Squeezing fans until they squeak.
No one is forcing you to buy it.
@@saddaddrummer Indeed! While no squeak here, this release induced a brief chuckle. And I didn’t have to even buy it! Now that’s great value! 😂
@@Parlogram You are correct Andrew, and I won't. When I bought the original album I thought it was mediocre at best, played it a couple of times and it went to the back of my Beatles collection. As they say you can't polish a ........ but you can roll it in glitter.
@@saddaddrummer I agree that this release has unnecessary material (stuff that John himself had nothing to do with) but I have always thought that this albums was one of his best - after plastic ono band and imagine

I know this comment relates to the last video and not this, but will there be a Quadraphonic video on The Dark Side of the Moon sometime?
Sean´s Tame Impala Influence is Here. Now, Lennon is not a Sect so, please let other musicians like Kevin Parker to deconstruct the legacy. Great remixes, but too much abstract for my taste. Best!
Definitely not for me, but thank you for sharing. - Roger

Do spotify deliver hi-resolution stereo?
This is pretty cool. It's not for me, but it's cool. People whining about this are losers.
It's fine with me releasing these remixes but IMHO they should have been released under Sean Lennon's name, not his father's.
This is the comment I was searching for. I LOVE Mind Games and I have no real problem with this release and think it’s intriguing. Beyond that it should be labeled as a Sean Lennon remix/ release.
Great new,I gomto my favourtie shop this friday❤
Huge ...HUGE Beatles fan, but the more I learned about John and his head in the clouds beliefs post Beatles the less of a Lennon fan I became.
This release seems like it's something for the fan that will buy anything.
To tell the truth, I'm only that way with McCartney releases, but even I have my breaking point - like his $600 seven inch box set was a hard pass.
Same here
Sounds like self indulgence on Seans part.
I was intrigued and listened to it on Amazon music. It’s all slow new age sounding ambient cyberfarts in same key. Hard pass. I’m happy with the deluxe cd box set.
I bought Sgt Pepper’s when it came out, age 10. John’s solo career is the only one I followed and collected. That being said, I have less than no interest in this.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Anything for a buck.
MORE money grabbing.
The amount of screwing the fans out of every penny these days is repugnant.
I (like many others) would love to have these things, but have a little thing called existence to pay for.
"Inagine no possessions" 😂
It's easy for people that can afford the releases to say "no ones forcing you to buy it" that is not the point. The point is that many fans would love to have these things, but lack the ridiculous amounts of money to buy the TOO MANY different versions.
What I'd like to see is reviewers who can afford to buy the product, give the freebies away as competition prizes.
CAN THEY THINK OF ANY MORE WAYS TO STEAL MONEY FROM FANS??!!??
These pointless releases take time off new bands from record plants. And John is not around anymore, so who's to benefit?
How much money do they want out of us?
Didn't you even bother to watch the video?
@@rcpsammy7186 I did so! Still left with the question: "How much money do they want out of us?"
