      I want to genuinely thank you. The world is being pushed to the precipice and so many are too wrapped up in the useless infighting and consumerism spewed 24/7 by the msm to actually see what is really going on... an unprecedented wealth/power restructure.
      Kudos.

      All races have been slaves at one point in history. You need to get past that and live in the present. If we can't agree that WE are not each other's enemies, we are doomed to downward spiral.

      I just don't know how we have been duped so hard by such primary school tactics.

      Except for the fact that he believes there's institutional racism somewhere out there in the ether that nobody can seem to actually prove even exists. It's sad when people this young hear these words & phrases & just hang on to them without actually delving into what anybody really means by that or where it came from or who had the motivation to make him think that way in the first place 😒

      @@Weazla- I agree with your point here. However, I think what he’s conveying is that blacks aren’t born today into real life “chains and shackles, go outside and pick the cotton and I’ll sell you like stock to my neighbor and if you speak back at me I’m going to beat you to death and sleep with your wife then hang you in my front yard to let the rest of my stock know how not to act” - That isn’t what people are waking up to anymore.

    • @1paulmohill
      @1paulmohill ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Weazla- you have a point but its a little disingenuous. The system is the issue for the systemic racism. Its not white people oppressing black people. The elites have chosen the black population as their target to weaken them, destroy their culture remove good role models and limit their power influence. They then point the finger at white people for this injustice. The same elites then pretend they support minorities as a smoke screen by artificially using positive discrimination to antagonise white people while simultaneously encouraging black people to adopt the victim identity. Classic divide and conquer. We are all human beings who love our families. Let that be the starting point or foundation for seeing the shared humanity in all people. Like MLK jnr said people should be judged by the content of their character and not by their skin colour. Tom cuts through the smoke screen, pulls back the curtain and shouts from the roof tops, the emperor has no clothes.

  • @amyharris2121
    @amyharris2121 ปีที่แล้ว +588

    I think he means people of today have not/were not slaves, and that the government/media is pushing the topic and perpetuating division. Making sure to keep racism alive and well, because it's easier to control people through their emotions and keep them distracted from bigger world issues.
    I appreciate that you guys give real reactions, really listen and try to break it down.

      I was born in 74 and I am white . Not the privileged kind of white I grew up as poor as can be . The town I lived in I always called it a small town I guess 50,000 people's not that small but it was still at heart sti a small town I did not have a single black child as a fellow student in elementary school . It was about 75%mexican Americans and 25% poor white kids . The rest of the "poor" white kids were not my level of poor. They were poor by our towns standards . But there has literally never been any unemployed people here in the 48 years I have been alive. I lived in the section of town that we were the only white family that had lived there in 50 years . That area has since been bulldozed. I did not though go without any exposure to black people. My mother and step father worked for the food service at a college in our town and there was a seminary that was part and parcel of the college. There at that time we're around 3200 students that went to the seminary alone. I would get out of school every day and walk my 3 little sisters across the street to the colleges food service. It would just be finishing up their lunch service so we would go get any food that had not been served and eat quick and I would help clean down the eating area quick and about the time I would get done there would be a knock at the door . The area I cleaned would be used by a group of 43 seminary students that were from Africa. They had varying levels of proficiency with English
      That was the purpose of tsing the hall everyday so the ones who were fluent could aid the others with homework and such. My introduction to black people was not the black people that most people met .I was of use to them though English is hard to spell Andi had a senior in college reading level in first grade so I would get a lot of hey how do you spell this. . I did not miss the opportunities to ask questions about their homelands or anything else I could think of. They would tell me stories we were poor but the house we lived in was from 1880 and had 6 rooms that were 20 x 20each. The college and seminary shit down completely for parts of summer and Christmas and spring break with a couple of individual days here and there . That included the dorms so we houses all but 3 of the African students for the 3 weeks of Christmas vacation it was a snug fit but it was like a sleepover. I was 11 the first year of that and we were not rich so the food was goulash and garlic bread a lot. , Chili home made chili with corn bread or beans and rice with biscuits and fresh brewed sweet tea or unsweetened tea I made the meals for everybody I felt bad what I served the first day and the guys were like this is delicious. This went on for 4 years until they graduated . I have always been comfortable around people if any shade . The only thing I have ever judged anyone on is when they are proud of being ignorant. Well I get to junior high and high school and I finally had fellow students that were black .it was not that there was no tension at all but it was sti civil when things got tense we talked things out. As I was coming further and further through school there was a musical revolution taking place rap was taking it's place Aerosmith put out walk this way came out exposing out cultures and music's to each other the greatest comedy show ever in my opinion in living color came out and the teenagers of that generation we lived it and it beat us over the head with racial stereotypes showing us how stupid they were and as I watched the groups came together more and more slowly things were winding down and feeling comfortable. Then came the 24 hour news channels one by one each altering the way the news was presented it slowly became a bit more accusatory without.actually saying things. And as they grew in power the racial tension started sparking back up.and I watched the match back down I had some friends here and there but we grew up together and Anytime I met new people of all colors I would ask them. To tell be their story Sony could live. Jump forward to October 2020. I got exposed to covid.and everyone who volunteered had to be quarantined . As we were sitting trying to figure it out I had access to a barn that had been turned into a furnished heated cooled and comfortable lounging are so the 30 of us went there and waited our time out I had gone to volunteer where we got exposed so I could drive one of my friends from school and his girl friend to volunteer at thas food pantry that day . So when we were all comfortable and I was the only white person there my friends gf was Mexican and the rest were all black and I had actually by this been talked to one and all by this morning I realized the represented a large portion of the area like 15 different towns and so they would have variance only aspects of what they could witnessed over the years and so this kind of thing I thought I'd be growing up I came out and I was like can I talk to you guys in my friends and we're talking about I'm like you know it seems to me like when I was growing up and I kind of found out that most of them around our age thing how much as music came along and stuff it kind of introduced more of the black people in the white people together you know guys our musics did stuck together and like slowly got more comfortable with each other came out and like it was slowly getting better and better and better peaceful and then all of a sudden you know these news came out and they each one of these little use biases and they pokemoner somebody's purposely reigniting this am I just imagine this or was that how it was and when they all said and thought about it like you know you're not wrong that is what happened but you know all of a sudden you started with this person this black person stop it the other the one thing that I forgot to put out earlier in this though is that when I spent all that time those guys from Africa or the school one of the things that they taught me was like how sad they were that the way that they taught the whole thing about slavery in our country because they said you know they portrayed as like the white people went over there and they trapped the people and you know they caught three people and they brought him back his slaves but they're like no this is our you're part a lot of it's our fault like you know look a lot of the black tribes there they would go and they they caught slaves and they would have them devil available for sale to the people that came that's the only reason that the European people that's not right I mean not right at all I mean who wants to own another person it's it's not like it's not like you know in our country had a lot of boys that we had like everybody had slaves back then but they told me even at this point in time in parts of Africa and Asian and that they still had slaves and if you look at the actual World Report and stuff they're still slavery in a lot of parts of the world just not in the western part anymore but this is stupid probably not important but you know I just wanted to share what I had experienced in my life and no I've learned from people I've met and maybe it'll be useful maybe it won't but you know take it as well I hope you have a great day

      They have been using the public schools to tear apart anything that that people have in their lives that makes them feel like they are not alone. And they hide it under the guise that what's being done will help out the child.

    • @nathandehaan183

      An example when you go to school they now have these policies that the student and their parent gave to sign a contract with the teacher and the principal agreeing to help the student with their homework every night but the stress the math the most. The work has to be don't u the way they happen to be teaching that year. They have to show the work has been done by writing the ent problem down the way the current math does it. They change the maths up constantly they do the math far differently than they used to . So it is almost impossible to accomplish it together those little failures start carving away little bits of the child's faith and respect and love the child had for the parent all under the guise of being to help . Its a diabolical thing . If you have kids fo not let that work go online find out before your child and you start on it they need to see you being awesome they need to be able to feel safe with you

      Absolutely. Slavery in particular, is such a strange topic of history; tell somebody from the US about the almost exclusively black slave owners in New Orleans and witness faces melt. Tell those same Americans about how many Irish were on those slave ships and watch the instant denial. No group of peoples is special or unique. Everyone, in their history (or even currently...looking at you, North Africa and Middle East, holding more modern slaves NOW than historically combined...if you aren't bothered by the atrocities in China NOW or the modern slave market across the Middle East today, then either you simply don't know or you're willfully ignorant in pursuit of a narrative) held slaves, accepted slavery and/or participated in slavery. That's the truth. There is nothing new under the sun, no matter how many people think they got there first...ask Rome how those transgender pagan rituals turned out...nothing new, y'all. Nothing new.

    We're all fighting with each other over things that don't make sense... As a white person I get blamed for slavery, even though my ancestors were slaves recently, the Irish, and slavery is all over the world, more today than ever. And my Puerto Rican side, which does actually tie me to slave holders is looked at as not only the good guys, but also given a pass on a lot by the black community... But movies like woman king come out and young black kids will grow up thinking it's true, when that particular kingdom was the biggest seller of slaves in all of Africa, it's not a coincidence that they chose that people to rewrite history.

    • @Weazla-
      @Weazla- ปีที่แล้ว

      Chattel slavery was much worse than indentured servitude, that's what most slavery throughout history up until the present has been. Transatlantic Chattel slavery can not be compared. Also you're right, the Irish, along with most of Europe, were considered non-white, remember that when you hear about the white race, it doesn't exist, it's an exclusive in-group which only grows if the Anglo saxons feel outnumbered, just to separate us and give the new members their racist perspective

      Very true! I always get confused as to why people act like all slave owners where white, when it all started from african kings selling they're own, plus the Portuguese literally done beach raids for slaves in Africa, and the Arab slave trade which took millions of slaves from their home countries and was apparently the longest of its kind going on for over 1,300 years. Every race has been on both ends of slavery at one point in time.

    The shepherd left the ninety-nine to find the one lost sheep. Tom isn't saying that there were never ever any black folks who were slaves, he's saying the black folks alive today who were never ever slaves. Then the line where he said we are so divided that if the other side loves oxygen we'll put a bag on our heads...deep! Sadly, that's exactly where the hardcore Republicans and Democrats are at in this country. Too many follow the party to a fault instead of thinking for themselves. The gentleman in the grey hoodie nailed it at the end with his synopsis. We need more free thinkers in this country instead of sheeple. We have to find ways to come together and communicate, think outside the box, step outside our comfort zones and allow our minds and theories and ideals to be challenged. Great reaction!

    I can see where the confusion could be in the beginning there. He means currently. Black folks who exist today who never actually were slaves are fighting with white people who aren't actual Nazis. Everyone knows slavery was wrong, it's one of the most disgusting things that's ever happened in history, next to the Holocaust. So when other black people compare themselves to the people who actually went through slavery, it's kind of a slap in the face. Those people know what true oppression is. Those people know what pain and suffering is. No one today has ever had to suffer like that. I'm still in the beginning of your reaction, but y'all never ever disappoint. I personally have never liked news stations no matter what their affiliated with, but I ask you to do this. Look at what each news station is pushing. (If that's what you believe in watching for your information) most are pushing division. If you don't agree with their narrative, then it's hate speech. Then you are labeled whatever they want to label you or cancel you for your opinion, but yet they have all the rights in the world for their opinions. Is that opening conversations? Is that promoting unity? If you would listen to Tom's music, you'd realize he's about unity. It's not about left or right, he doesn't believe in either party (neither do I), he's trying to get people to see that all this is causing division. Your comment is creating division, because you're not opening your mind to a conversation with people who might have a different opinion than yourself. You don't have to agree, heck you don't have to like his music, that's ok with me and him, but why can't you be ok with someone else's ideals? Think about that.... it's time people listen to other people and if they don't agree ok move on and agree to disagree. Nothing wrong with that at all!

    Tom said "black folks who were never ever slaves, fighting with whites who aren't actually Nazis. Controlled by the government" he didn't say blacks were never slaves, just people today have never been slaves

    damn. I was expecting yall to go crazy on this one. This is by far the most straightforward middle finger to he system track that Tom has done and watch the lyric video cause I've been a sub for awhile now and the energy was different in this reaction, not just cause it's a Tom reaction, but in general, the energy in the room seemed like something was going on before you even pressed play, but this song was his best shot at trying to get the system to take their best shot at him. It had me hype as hell, and whoever was on doggin on Adam Calhoun needs to watch his video for "Butcher". He don't give a F about nothing and ain't scared of shit

    Tom is talking about living in the present as if it's the past and overidentifying with it. It has been such a joy to watch you gentlemen grow and evolve your world view. I love watching people's minds open up as they are exposed to something new. We should all be more like you, trying new things and learning is what life is about. Great job!
