    I am not a homesteader, not a cook or baker at all....lol, I tease my husband that somehow I missed out when God was giving women all these gifts. I love watching cooking shows, baking shows and now homestead shows, just can't do any of them. I baked my first ever homemade rolls yesterday.....they are edible, not great obviously but not terrible. I love raspberry jam, so am very inspired that it looks like something I could try. Thank you so much for sharing these videos.

  • @ehsanihomestead
    @ehsanihomestead 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    That is awesome you have so much experience to lean into when preserving foods. My mom made homemade applesauce one time when I was a kid and that experience really stuck with me cause we had it all in the refrigerator since none of us knew how to can. Can't imagine how much more capable everyone would be if they learned these kinds of skills from a mentor rather than needing to watch tons of videos and read guidelines/step-by-step instructions.
    I have heard that adding a tablespoon or two or butter to jam or jelly when you are making it will reduce the amount of foam. Is this something you have ever tried? I have tried but it was only my second time canning so not sure why mine turned out more like a syrup.
