Agreed ... so much talent and so young ... imagine where they'll be in 5 years from now. Discovered them 2 weeks ago and have had 26 songs on repeat after a few days.
This track always makes me well up a little, there's an undercurrent of sadness and reflection in it. Considering the dedication not surprising. There's a vid on Kate's channel of her jamming with him when she was about 8/9 .He seemed a very nice man.r.i.p. ❤️
Thank you for respectfully understanding the solemnity in this song, and for getting information about these incredible young women out there. Someone posted this on The Sixsters International Fans Facebook page today, and you got a ❤️ from Polina's mom. :) Thank you for supporting The Sixsters. I am starting to see a lot of reactions and new viewers and subscribers, so word is getting out about these ladies! 😀
Wow! I am humbled to receive that heart! I want these young ladies to get the recognition they deserve. Their talent in performing and composing is an absolute breath of fresh air!
Polina and her mother live near Cologne. They have had to flee their home twice. They originally lived in the Donbas region when Russia invaded in 2014, then they moved to Kiev, and had to escape sgain after the second invasion.
@BoringTaff I learned about it in a German news segment I think from last year that featured Polina. In it, she sings the first few bars of For Us, For Me, and sings and plays on piano a few bars of another song I didn't recognize, and talks about the band. They talk to Polina and her mother, and they talk about escaping twice. I was able to translate by playing it on my laptop and using a translation app on my phone.
I suppose I've heard most of their songs thanks too TH-cam and, yeah, you never know what to expect but you know it will be great. I agree, the bass player the drummer the lead guitar is great. In their early videos some were just little kids but already very good.
Ukraine Rock School The SiXsters won a competition there in 2020, I don’t know who has attended there (Katya is self taught) except for Polina in 2021. A New York nonprofit (maybe connected to New York School of Rock ?) funds tweens & teens who play Benefit Concerts for Children. Including The SiXsters in Ukraine, and later Bush Hall London and Glastonbury. (Different Subject) This week The SiXsters are in Vilnius Lithuania at the Anti-Corruption Conference (pretty big deal) opening for Lithuanian band Romantic Hooligans along with two other bands. Also eating hamburgers, ice cream, and raising he!! In the Hilton. (It’s been on their fb) Really cool to see them having fun.
I look forward to you reacting to Never Forgive, I think you'll like it. Although there's no video, it actually helps focus on the great composition skills of this band. They know how to build a song, adding things, some of them quite subtle, that keep the ear entertained.
I am reposting the lyrics here to make sure they don't get buried: Lyrics: When the last star disappears, Life goes on, but it's bitter, My heart went into artificial coma, But you still run away from home. Run with the wolves, that there is strength, Run how you can, don't step into the same trap, Footsteps are hidden by night and downpour, Run how you can to everyone's surprise! Don't lose me, 'cause I won't be without you. If you feel down, you don't care, what they are saying, Don't believe anyone, cause all words are spread by wind, Only beast of prey knows all the world's truth. Live to the fullest and breathe freely, Throw off the burden and straighten your back, The water breaks through the strongest stones, Even if it seems helpless. Doesn't matter what they're saying! Because I won't be without you! Live to the fullest and breath freely, Throw off the burden and straighten your back, The water breaks through the strongest stones, Even if it seems helpless.

@@vladkudrya9615 yeah I've looked them up before and it's even better but it was my favorite before I even looked them up. Thanks though maybe post them in the main comments section for others too.
From a musical point of view the girls are very talented, love their laid back style and the production has a nice balance. The young ladies deserve success without the trappings of world geopolitics. Slightly concerning to read rusty's post regarding the girls currenly attending the Anti-Corruption Conference. I don't like to see such young folk co-opted into global agendas of the world bank, UN, WEF and co at such a tender age. Anti-Corruption Conference sounds like a good cause right. I wish the girls all the very best and hope they continue doing what they enjoy, making music. I also hope their country finds peace from rich mans wars.
I'm not sure if they're laid back. Here, they're subdued because they are singing a tribute to someone they cared about who died in combat fighting to protect their country. If you see their other videos, they are FAR from laid back! 😀
@@ThePentagenarian I sincerely apologize. I did not imply that you monetized this but erroneously thought this was a patreon request. @@ThePentagenarian Thank you for your understanding. I think you can see I have great love for these kids and there music. thanks for the support girls. From Ukraine with love.
I love the Sixsters too. Another artist that Sina the drummer turned me on to. They are great.
