Seem to Dance always makes me smile, similar to I'm Gonna Be, both show the girls fun side. Happiness is a very emotional song and I see like most reactors you've reacted to the 2023 official video, which is great, with added harmonies. I much prefer the original video recorded live a year earlier on their site. The original version was recorded the day after it was written, they wrote it spontaneously on the first day they met up in Germany, it was recorded with 5 of the 7 girls who were band members before the invasion, so has Kira on bass, one of only two with Kira before she returned to Ukraine with her family. You can see the sadness in their faces when they play the song. They have said they are holding the 6th spot in the band for Kira to return where she'd take over rhythm guitar from Maria and Maria will concentrate in vocals. Thank you for showcasing this incredible band, they deserve much more attention.
Happiness - Some of the girls travel up to 2 1/2 hours to get to Essen to practice, only two girls were able to make it to the shoot for this. The words are about their helplessness about their situation, Happiness is Foreign.
Just wait until you see some of other work the members have done before joining the band. Anna, the lead guitarist, played in at least two prior hard rock bands and has a whole Instagram site full of jaw-dropping covers of leads. Polina (bass) is a beautiful singer and accomplished pianist in her own right.
For a long time I have 2 favorite bands Band Maid and The Warning. Looks like from now on I will have one more favorite band :The Sisters! This Ukrainian band is amazing! I like it a lot! Thanks for your reaction
Got to say that this drummer reminds me a lot of Ringo Star in that she is very much a straight forward drummer, but is unique without overdoing things. She has an interesting grove to fit every song as Ringo did.
That's an interesting comparison. They both play for the song, rather than show off, which to me is the hallmark of a mature musician. I saw Ringo live and he can be a monster when he wants to be. Same with Kate, she's been blowing people away since she was 7, and is only 15 now. She is why The Sixsters happened in the first place, and is the foundation they build on. She's a force to be reckoned with, make no mistake.
I only discovered this band about a week ago and now have about 26 songs on repeat. I haven't listened to much else since discovering BAND MAID 4 years ago. I haven't listened to anything else since discovering The Sixsters over the last week. Try "Fever" and "I'm Voting" ... the later is an earlier song with (I think) a different vocalist and is sung in Ukrainian but is catchy as. They are so young and the drummer looks like she can just reach the pedals an the bass guitar looks bigger than the person plying it haha. What a great band.
Happiness was the first song they wrote since the invasion . They got together briefly in Germany and put this song together in 1 hour after 6 months of being apart. A lot of emotion , anger, sadness and of course talent. Only Kaet and Maria were settled in Germany at the time and the others had to go back to there respective refugee counties. Thats why they were not present for the video
The SiXsters just announced on their F B that their June 15 concert in Essen Germany (where they are located now) has been changed to FREE and people who have already purchased tickets will get to meet them back stage and will get free stuff. They always treat their fans really well and it’s a smart move. It cracks me up how on Katya’s old drum channel she’s wearing Mickey Mouse shoes “miss kitty?” Shirts and Hats on T.V. And playing with “adult bands”. She also had some us flag shoes she looked really proud of when she was in Vegas. One cool little kid and outstanding drummer.
Started in 2018, not even teenagers, but now in the their mid to late teens, settled with the 5 current members- Great musicians all. I have their last two albums which are great.
I absolutely love the singer. The use of harmonies, layering, etc. is fantastic (in my opinion, at least). Good example is right here. I've heard "Happiness" like 100 times now and it still gives me chills.
Just about everything but the music is from Kates dad Alex. He is manager, producer, sound engineer, camera man , video editor and I think a big part of the video creation. but if you ask him he will say ''This is not about me , this is about the girls
I believe Happiness was the first video after getting sponsored by Fame Music Instruments and The Music Store in Koln Germany. I'm guessing Happiness was shot at the store, Kate had a full Fame drum kit and Marie had a Fame guitar. Kate's dad is a fantastic sound engineer, no matter the song you can hear every instrument perfectly. A month or so ago they started their own recording label The Sixsters Family Records. Maya(keyboards) did the backing vocals on these 2 songs and on Hold, after that I believe Polina(bass) has been doing backup with Anna and Kate occasionally adding their voices (I Stare at You). If you remember the Feels video Kate had the black Fame snare drum, Polina had a fame Bass and Anna 3 Fame guitars, the shot with 3 Anna's each with a different guitar.
Thank you for your great reaction! It looks like you're really starting to understand how great this band is, and six songs is just a start. There are a few English videos remaining: "Fever" - a non-stop older banger "I'm Gonna Be" -- where they are dolls "Hold" -- a straightforward acoustic and "I Stare At You," a gorgeous ballad. Their newest one, "Same Kid" took some cajones because it splits the song in half with one minute comedy segment. If you want the uninterrupted flow, I'd go with the audio version-you'll start the song and hold on for dear life, because it doesn't let up. The audio "Never Forgive" is fast becoming one of my favorites because it is ever-changing, and chock-full of one little hook after another, the way they do.
@robertkroberjr.157 I watched half of it today after seeing BEL Development (Jesse) do a one hour reaction, put out within the past 24 hours, with his friend Phry, of The Sixsters' Christmas visit to the Music Store. Phry lives 20 minutes away from it, and is very knowledgeable. Some people were bummed it wasn't the Christmas livestream, but I thought it was fun to see, and both Phry and Jesse geeked out over the equipment. Jesse did this one on his own, not from a request, he really likes The Sixsters. A couple of his Sixsters reactions will be coming out soon.
@@DanL---2024 cool! Can you show a link to that? Appreciate it! I love the Christmas special! There were times I got a little misty eyed. I'm 60 and got to see a lot of great bands. Seeing them gives me hope for the future! 😎✌️
Here is the highest quality live video of the Sixsters I could find. A year ago, they played Bush Hall in London a few days after their appearance at Glastonbury (!). One or both of the following are sung in Ukrainian: th-cam.com/video/q8eRRsSU2qg/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/73yPkzfBcbk/w-d-xo.html As far as I know, these are the only two concerts they've done outside Ukraine and Germany. The Sixsters and all their equipment travel in a single van or mini-van, so the "production values" of their concerts are minimal compared to their videos -- they come across more as a garage band. The title "Зараз чи ніколи" apparently translates as "Now or Never." Except for the keys player, who went back with her family to Ukraine, this is the current line-up.
HEY! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR reaction to this NEWLY RELEASED (epic) song from a Finnish cello metal band: APOCALYPTICA - ONE FEAT. JAMES HETFIELD & ROB TRUJILLO from Metallica (Official Video) Yes? 😎🤟
Well, all I know is that as soon as I heard their music I ran and bought everything they had. They'll be fine. The music will speak for itself and pull people in like a magnet. There was a little blind boy once that would play from his house. More and more and more kept showing up because his music was so good. He could play every instrument in the music store so they called him a wonder. Someone very smart saw how people were reacting, and signed Stevie right up. The power and beauty of the music of this band has that magic, it can't be faked, and you know it when you hear it. And you run out and buy their records because it brings so much pleasure to hear them, and you want to share them with everyone you can. I would never underestimate The Sixsters. After all, look what they did to us. 😀
@@DanL---2024 I share your love for the band and there music but not your optimizem,. Everything has changed in the industry since Stevie's story, if he was singed today he would never be allowed to create the ''Wonderfull'' music he did. Even a amazingly talented band like RUSH would not have made it in todays industry, there just barely survived back then. I do wish them all the success in the world of course but I have way too many GREAT bands fail and talentless ones succeed. I REALY HOPE I'M WRONG
@dancan6622 I do, too. I don't think I'm blindly hopeful. I'm blown away by all the new talent I see and hear every day. What's possible now, which wasn't in Stevie's day, was the ability to get thousands and millions to hear your music without a record label. The Sixsters have millions of views and listens when you add them all up. The challenge is standing out from all the noise over the long run. I found them, and so did you, and slowly but surely others are as well. They're young, there's time. They've been through worse things, and at the very least, they have already created some great music, and that process has surely helped them get through hard times, and their art makes a lot of people happy, even if they were to stop today. I plan to add their vinyls to my collection; some of the ones left by my dad are from the 1940's, almost 80 years old, and I can still play them. The Sixsters will be in good company.
❤❤❤
Happiness - 6/8
Thank you for sharing your music with everyone to enjoy! Much love to you all 🤘🧀😎❤️🤘
6/8 time signature? I think the song's a 10/10. 😀
Visited by angels :)

I've seen some fan cams of them doing Seem to Dance live, hilarious as they break into that dance :)
Where can I find those! They've got to be hilarious! 😀
@@DanL---2024 Just spent half hour looking for it lol. Can't find it. It maybe a short, came across it by accident thought it was funny.
Well, thanks for trying! I'm sure the Sixsters have some great outtakes they've held onto. Apparently, it was very hot....
The Sixsters are Roxstars!!! Very creative, quirky, fun! Thanks for supporting them. 💥🔥🤘
I just found a 2 1/2 hour Christmas live feed they did in 2023 Must see! The talent is off the charts!

They have a way of doing that to you! I heard them the first time about two months ago, and was hooked after two songs. 😀
that opening line, im still alive and it upsets me..... sends a shiver down me. amazing band thanks for the reaction vid

The talent, versatility and creativity of these kids is off the charts. They have no chance of making it in todays boring and tasteless music industry
