I have been running my Lawncare/Landscaping business for the last 3 years. Starting a junk removal business this year. Just subscribed to your channel you guys have great comtent!

Hi! Cubic Yard formula here: (in feet) depth x wide x tall= Total ÷ 27 = CYD TOTAL. For example a Ford F150 Super crew 2018 platform= 8.7'x 5.3'x 3.5'=161.385 ÷ 27= 5.97 CYD
I am trying to understand the numbers. Are those numbers ( 8×7' × 5×3' × 3×5') simply made up to give an example? Also, where is ÷ 27 coming from? Thank you for your time.
@@best9642 no those are actually the measurements of the load bed of a Ford F150 Super Crew. The platform with the door open, the length os 8.7'. The width of it is 5.3'. The height from the platform to the top of the truck is 3.5'. You have to multiply all three and the total comes to 161.385. Now to be able to obtain a cubic yard total you have to divide this total for 27 and that is the amount of CYD your load truck can take. So another example will be 10'x8'x5'=400 now we divide it by 27 (ALWAYS 27) 400÷27= 14.81 CYD
I swear you guys are the best mentors , I wish y’all were in my area. I’m about to be 29 my son is turning 13 I gotta figure it out ! I’m done working these bullshit ass jobs. I’m in Temecula California!
I always ask if there is metal because i can always take a friend with my pickup and load metal on it. One truck goes to scrapyard and one goes to the dump. That way i can get paid twice for the metal.
U guys break it down really good..starting up in Orange County as soon as I purchase truck.. I'm a big fan of doing due diligence and research cuz that's the key
Highly Appreciate you guy's, i went from debating about a Flatbed tow truck or a Dump truck........Watching your videos, it most definitely will be a Dump Truck. Thank You

I took many great notes from this video. Felt lost when I was first talking with customers but this is a great starting point for a new hauler like myself.
The info that both of you provide is unbelievable! every step makes sense and it's the correct step. I'm writing everything down. I live in a small City in Florida close to Tampa and it looks like little North East! those New Yorkers and New Englander's are moving down here and It's apartment complexes everywhere, there's two transfers and on landfill close by. I'm gonna sell my semi and trailer and invest in dump trailers as customer's come by.

Hey Matthew and Jojo, this video was super helpful. I’m just starting the Junk Removal portion of my business and these tips are gold. Keep up the awesome work; it’s very much appreciated!! #Hauling&Ballin
Definitely take the time to sit back and get your pricing right! Especially if you decide you want to haul things like bricks/concrete, dirt (some guys do it, some don’t).
I’ll haul it, but I charge by height & volume (a foot high and length of box). When I first started out, I always turned those jobs down and referred customers to other local companies that had more man power. Then my neighbor told me I could use his Bobcat whenever I need it for work!👍🙏🏻🤣!! So, I just slide him a few bucks when I need to use it.
Clean Up Guy Yes, having access to a bobcat makes a world of difference! I’ve used it on other jobs as well, a couple hot tubs and a barn shed (to break the shed down and haul the pieces up to the truck).
Thanks for this info ! I just started do junk removal I’m addition to my Furniture delivery business .the dump I go to is pretty basic it’s $105 per ton and a min of like $16.50 and refrigerators at $20 charge and chemicals and paints free depending on size of load and mattresses are just charged as normal no limit . Do you need a License for this business in California
How come you can’t take paint and chemicals in California?
You need a hazardous waste certificate for that or we get a hefty fine
Why not scrap the refrigerator and washers?
doesn't pay much to do that here
how much for a full load? normally..
He looks like he could be H3H3 production's (ethan clien) brother
Do we need to keep warehouse also to dump first there and then segregate the item for disposal? Or you guys directly dumped?
Depends on what you want to do, you can go through items and separate for resale, donations or keep... or just dump that’s your choice
