I was SA'd as a child, and for almost 25 years after it stopped, I blamed myself. If anyone had called me a victim, I would have said I wasn't and that it was actually my fault and that I asked for it. Well I was 3 years old when it started so there's no way I asked for it and no way it was my fault, but I had to go through a LOT of therapy to finally realize that. So it's important for people to note, like you said Blaire, just because someone thinks they weren't a victim, does not mean that is reality. Not only would I have said I WASN'T a victim, I would have said IT WAS MY FAULT. And that is a very real effect of abuse.

I hope you are doing okay! TW- infant/child neglect
I have C-PTSD from severe child neglect as an infant plus other stuff. Having trauma start so young is so fucekd up, we don't even really have a life "before" the trauma when it starts so young. I hope you are doing well now!
I get hurt sometimes when people complain about others adopring the victim mentality. I hate that its popular to do now but it's hard when you have actually been a victim and feel like you can't speak up cause you'll be labeled the same. I also have Autism which is "trendy" too smfh.
I hooe you are doing well and have learned to not blame yourself! You were a helpless child, as was I when I went through my first traumatic events. I still catch myself feeling helpless, I really want to get out of the victim mentality while acknowledging I was a victim in the past of some horrible shit.
It's like my PTSD leasa to me being frozen in time back when I was just trying to survive another day. It's rough but I'm hoping I can get treatment for the C-PTSD. I hope you're healing too, It's not easy but it's possible. ❤

It is NEVER the child's fault. If you as a child had stripped down naked, oiled up, and bodily flung yourself at the abuser, it would STILL be the abuser's fault, because it is the ADULT'S responsibility to recognize if a child is misguided or troubled and protect it from itself. NOT exploit it. Period. Just in case you needed a little extra reinforcement today on that point.

I'm a kidney transplant recipient. The drugs we have to take to prevent rejection are a type of chemotherapy. It's VERY hard on your body and puts you at a high risk for developing cancers, deadly fungal infections, bacterial infections, etc. To transplant a uterus which would always be a cadaver donation & then growing a baby in a dead person's uterus while you're taking those toxic drugs is the most selfish thing I can imagine. There is NO justification that anyone could come up with for this. It's so gross.

    • @ri-cee2100

On top of all the kids in foster care that you can adopt instead of surgically getting a uterus

    • @Anna-fw7lm
      @Anna-fw7lm 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

A woman is not a sac of organs to pick from.
Every woman knows that we're born with our eggs and it takes us more than a decade to develop our reproductive system that's interconnected with the rest of our body so much so that if I'm stressed out my menstrual cycle can be altered. if there is too much heat in summer I can skip a month. It can start, stop, and restart days after a scare. Just the 'normal funcions' of our cycle are that delicate!
And not only our uterus is connected with the rest of the body, it has an incorporated clock, communicates with the body to ask for hormones to develop the egg, poison it and get rid of it if not fertilized, but it also needs *dedicated brain functions* to work !! it need to 'talk with the mother' but also with the kid.
Do you know that children in the womb have access to their mother's nutritions, but also immune system (even after being born, through the milk that's different in different moments of the day and if you take it out yourself it's better to give the child the 'morning milk' in the morming etc, because it has effect on the baby circadian cycle?)
The kid have access to their mother's hunger, hormones, and brain... that's why women have sudden feelings or fear or remember something all at once. The kid is connected to their mother's brain and we need to have it function in a way that allows this communication.
That's why our brain works differently from men's.
To make an uterus work, you need the hardware = the whole female body. AND the software = the whole female brain.

Thanks for your experience. I don't think that it would necessarily be a cadaver donation because I think you could get an uterus on the black market and, with all the ongoing gender affirming surgeries, there must be perfectly healthy uteruses and ovaries available. I also think that there is no justification for medical procedures like that. It would be all experimental, plus who should pay for that? Injurances? Should we all pay to create lifelong patients, without any need to do so, only because it is medically possible? I don't think so ...

If this tour goes as planned please have plenty of dedicated security, SCREEN GUESTS (metal detectors and pat downs) and have paranoid security watching your guest's every move. Maybe I'm being dramatic but it was precisely the attempted Trump assassination that makes me wary of in-person events.

Unfortunately he took his life back in 2010 leaving behind myself and our 2 children. I'd like to specify I also understand that Ava's actions are incomparable to being misgendered, BUT misgendering someone the second they have been called out is like spreading the ideology that your gender can be revoked
While some have the belief that 'you want respect, you earn it,' misgendering someone should never be an option. I know that you probably don't stand with the trans community with the person you are watching, obvious hate to her, but you're disrespecting the whole community by misgendering even the weirdest type of creep
Anyways, I'm open to a new perspective but this is how I see things currently and there are so many amazing transgender people in the world who are absolute treasures. Please don't spread disrespect to the entire community, unlike what the creator said the trans community is NOT a problem like she has said. Ava has set the community back and you are showing this directly by immediately attacking her pronouns

@@breadslithering78 I'm sorry, but if a person is a predator, I am not respecting that person anymore and will not care for their identity or whatever. That person is using the identity to shield from the actions that have been committed. Also, people not respecting one person, doesn't equate that to people not respecting the whole group of people (but maybe that's a wild concept for you). Right now, the way I see it, you and people like you are respecting a predator :/ I would like to be wrong, but people who say similar things to you are a bit suspicious, sorry. Those actions are literally putting dirt on the actual trans people who just want to live normally. It's really not a good look for you or the community when you say all of that. Pretty sure that actual trans people, like Blair and others like her don't care that a predator's identity isn't being respected. It's literally people like you who are setting the community back, because you respect a predator's wishes, because you let people who aren't actually trans (but fetishist) come into your community and all the other nonsense. You seriously need to check your group and who you consider trans, because actual transsexuals don't deserve this and it's them that are hurt the most.
So again, the next time you respect the identity of people like Tyson, maybe take a step back and realise what you look like to other people. Because, in my eyes, it's really hard not to see you as supporters of predators when you say stuff like that.

I'm black and I was a student in the 85th percentile of my high school, meaning I did better than most students to quite a degree, and I always got sent letters from colleges that were obsessively yapping about my race and acting like it was only natural for me to join a black college. I actually willingly lowered my grades, I wrote an unsent letter to one of the colleges essentially asking them how they didn't see that as racist, and I yapped and yapped to my parents about how effed up it was.
When I say my heart sank whenever I saw those black only colleges notices and emails, when I say I saw images and pictures of Jim Crow America in my head, when I say I saw Rosa Parks in the back of the bus--I'm telling you the truth. It was only for like a month, but I really lowered my grades cuz I didn't know any other way to avoid getting those letters, cuz all I could do was block the emails.
I mean, some of them were personalized, they really clocked my race. I didn't know any white students of the same degree of academics who got emails or mail like that. And I truly felt like an alien, because people at my school were glad. I remember announcements talking about how great it was to have black only colleges. Then I thought it would be funny to get the best grades and go to a college that is not racially obsessive, and I chose one of merit out of the country. They probably wouldn't care, whoever was in charge of college admissions and stuff, but I was just happy to imagine having a leg up against them and proving them wrong about me. And I get really antsy when I feel a pet peeve, and one of mine is degradation on the basis of superficial characteristics, that are illogical to form a conclusion on someone's worth or thought process with.
So this yapp session is just to say that black only colleges emails, with offers or just any email of that degree, made me so disgusted and mad and I truly have a disdain for these politicians and people in power who believe I am nothing but someone to be rendered as a thoughtless sack of brown skin to be automatically hulled and collected as a vote by characteristic of that skin.

Ozempic is just one brand name for that particular drug and the same drug is available under different brand names that are being used if and when there is a shortage just as with any drugs that’s are the same or similar under a different brand name.
The shortage of the drug is a myth - there is a shortage of ozempic, but there is no shortage of the actual drug.
Regardless, in most cases it is being given to obese and overweight people who are at risk of developing type 2 so, it’s a preventative measure and equally as important as those being treated for diabetes.

I didn't realize I was a victim probably until 30 tbh. I wisj healing and hope to otbers who experienced trauma- especially if it started when you were young. ❤
I've been reflecting on my life and the trauma I've been through. Ifk if this will be triggering for others or if I'm even fully correct but I wanted to write my thoughts out. I think I didn't realize I was a victim bc my trauma began... st birth more or less + alcojpl exposure in the womb. (Idfk if infants in the womb can experience trauma but I imagine rough conditions during pregnancy harm the baby. 😢)
I was adopted to the US from a 3rd world orphanage - I didn't have enough food, let alone love and attention, for the first 16 months. Infant neglect can have serious impacts on your development. Adoption isn't well understood in the medical world, IMO. I've been trying to get help for years and get invalidated or blank stores when I seek professional help. I'm grateful my social worker understands me, though! Does anyone else with a lot pf trauma have a sense of helpmessness or like you feel trapped? It's awful, it's not just adopting the victim mentality. I feel it is part of the PTSD and it's not a good way to feeel. If people actually "get off" from explaining how they're a victim, I don't understand it. I feel so guilty for having this feeling because I have it so good in life, and it's like my brain is still stuck in the orphanage, alone and neglected. Just deprived. I wish my damn brain could not feel stuck this way, idk what to do but I reallt want to heal from Complex PTSD. I was too young to remember the infanthood trauma but it definitely has affected me. I think not remembeing what bappened is anofher reason I didn't realize my own trauma plus I don'treally have a "before the trauma" period. It's kind of like all we know when you're born into abusive or neglecful environments. I feel for ofhers who also suffered early in life. 💔
Curious if others relate to the helpless feeling- especially if your trauma began young too. I'm desperate to not be stuck in this victim mentality, it's not fun. Like my brain is still in the place during my traumatic experiences and I can't get my brain to realize I'm doing fine now in the present! Anyone else relate?
I don't feel well understood by professionals so I gotta help myself, I guess. Like I'll tell them I'm adopted and suffered rough conditions as an infant, and they don't understand the way they do when I talk about my SA trauma. Even "trauma-informed' therapists, like neglect is common and other peoole grew up in 3rd world environments before they got to a better place. I'm mot the only one who waa adopted or experienced neglect but it feels like it when I'm trying to get help. I feel like early life trauma clips your Wings before you can fly + hurts your development. I feel so robbed of what could have been if my start to life was nornal! But I want to heal so I can make the most of what can be! ❤
I'm really hoping I can find a good therapist who knows about adoption + neglect and can help me process the trauma, feelings of helplessness, being trapped and other things. I think they call it emotional flashbacks or something like that. Like my head is back to when I was a helpless infant suffering so badly. I hope others who have been through abuse and neglext can get the help they need. The trauma wasn't your fault- you were a victim and trauma can really impact how your brain develops. Especially if you're a baby or child going through it. I wish hope and healing to others who have gone through such pain. Nowadays you hear how "everybody wants to be a victim" but as an abuse/neglect survivor, I wish so badly I had a normal start to life like normal baby things, love and attention. I wish I had the level of privilege of wanting to be a victim, like that's crazy to me. Or they want sympathy without having to go through the suffering, maybe that's it? I know I have a lot of privilege in life and a lot to be grateful for. I really hope healing from this will allow me to live life more fully and feel connected to others. I hope others have found recovery form (complex) PTSD and are enjoying life on the other side. ❤
