    Better you than me... as I'm not testing for a channel, I'll keep my $11, thank you very much for saving my pocket.

    Looks like a clone of the CRKT 6 BIT DRIVER TOOL (model no. 9910)

    • @thepenultimateninja5797
      @thepenultimateninja5797 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's probably not a clone, these are likely just made by the same OEM that CRKT ordered them from. These OEMs in China will put your logo on their product if your order meets the minimum quantity.

    I have seen them in Ali express they looked aright but that tail cap spinning is a big fail I'm not a big fan of Amazon I haven't used them much and been burned often enough when I have

    I ordered one of these from one of the Chinese sites a few days ago for about $7.
    The listing said it was titatnium. I thought it was likely too good to be true, but then I thought maybe it was old stock they were trying to shift or whatever, so I ordered it.
    I'm disappointed (but not particularly surprised) to learn that it is not titatnium. I re-read the listing, and it definitely says it is titanium, and there is no mention of aluminium.
    I guess I'll just apply for a refund. It's probably a good screwdriver for $7, but I don't like being lied to, and I think these sellers need to understand that there are consequences if they are dishonest.

    I got the CRKT version which was like $60. I was happy with it for $60. I like the spinning end, for ratchetless screwdrivers. I like the width of the body, makes it easier to apply a little extra torque compared to some other smaller bit drivers.

    Spinning tail cap serve a purpose on slender ‘jewellers’ screwdrivers but this seems stupid

    Doc, my wife says the title reads “Industrial Steel Heavy Duty Screw Knife” and the orange text says “ 7 And 1”.
    For $11 not terrible but I’d rather save a bit more (ok, 4x) and put that towards a PB Swiss 6464 and be much much happier.

    On small stubby or Kompakt bit drivers, you can't have the end where your palm creates torque to spin like this. Precision drivers sure but not this, poor bit retaining adds to the problems. It might look great and be nicely machined but all of that doenst really count if its fails to do what the tool is intended for. I'd pass, too many better options AT or close to this price range.

    It's a knockoff, the original is titanium but I can't remember the name of the original.

      Not sure if it’s the original, but I remember CRKT selling something that looked just like this one.

    • @TylerSnyder305
      @TylerSnyder305 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@M00Xlabs that's it, but that may have been a production version of something originally done by a custom knife / gear designer.

      @edc_driving_me_knucks ปีที่แล้ว

      I remember seeing another version somewhere as well. CRKT could be, but that doesn’t ring a bell. As with most Chineaseium it’s probably been rebranded multiple times.

    • @olbaid84
      @olbaid84 ปีที่แล้ว

      CRKT's is definitely similar, anodized aluminum (model #9910, all torx bits though), designed by Joe Wu according to CRKT page. So I'd reckon this is a knock-off...
      (Edit: Noticed the cap of the CRKT one says "Scout Tool Designs", which brought me to Scout Leather Co., so probably collab of CRKT and Scout, with these being knock-offs of the design)

    @1:43 I can’t tell from the package whether it’s simplified Chinese (Mandarin) or traditional (Cantonese), but Japanese kanji are borrowed Chinese characters, so technically all of those could be kanji even though it’s Chinese text. Japanese would have hiragana or katakana (simple character sets that are sounds instead of also having meaning). Thanks for the great tool reviews!

    • @FlyToTheMoon.
      @FlyToTheMoon. ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi I'm a Japanese. I saw the text on the package. I'm sure that the product was produced in China and it wasn't ptoduced in Japan. Usually Chinese has been using only their traditional Kanjis and Japanese has been using Kanjis, Hiraganas, Katakanas, numbers, Alphabets, Emojis and Symbols, it hasn't been using only Kanji, as you commented. OR it might be produced in Taiwan.

    I'm sorry, but I can't get this out of my head.
    If you hired the people who make weed grinders to make one of these screwdrivers, this is what they would come up with.
