HEYY momma Wilson!!! Bruce is a hell of hard worker and I’ve been a long time follower of Bruce from years ago, and it’s so good to see him back on top after all he has been through❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congrats on your first pull. I was involved in it for years myself, in the Super Semi classes of the NTPA & East Coast Pullers Assoc. Just FYI, with regards to your referring to the "Jet" powered tractors...they're Not "jet" engines.... they are Turboshaft engines, as used in Helicopters, Turbo-Prop Aircraft, Turbine powered gensets, Ships, etc., though, the majority are from helicopters (many are military), and the Lycoming T-58 is very popular. Turbshaft engines power things by shaft hp & torque, Not by thrust, as Jet Engines do. Basically both the same, but the Turboshaft engines generally only have anywhere from 1 to 5+/- stages of compressor stages which are made up of a Rotor & and a Stator which partially converts high velocity into high pressure with each successive stage (depending on size & desired amount of SHP / Shaft HP), whereas modern Turbojet (military) and Turbofan (military & commercial) can have anywhere from 10 to 15, compressor stages to build high thrust, plus afterburners for additional thrust capabilities for military aircraft. There's actually Two variants with regards to how internal flow pressurization is produced, 1) is a Centrifugal Type, and 2) is of the Axial flow type.... but that's a whole other topic. Enjoy your sled puller... it's "addictive"!!
This brings back memories. I used to be in a truck pulling team in the netherlands. These are all single axle's and we'd try to hang the weights in such way to balance the truck that is just slightly off the ground with the front wheels. Also, with turbo way to big we had to slip the clutch in order to start building boost. Years ago we already had custom multi-plate clutches to handle the abuse. Right after I left they came to the point where the sled wasn't heavy enough anymore lol.
That jet powered tractor actually wasn't even started. That sound was just the electric starter motor that gets everything spinning, but it never actually fired off. Or you would know, it would start getting really loud & some white smoke coming out until its fulling fired up & burning all the fuel.
AWESOME PULL!!!!!! I think I got so excited !!! I creamed my jeans and I wasn't there lol love it Bruce Business Experience is the pete on the track!!!
The four-wheel-drive truck that you just bought and put a transmission and that’s got all the different welding spots that are fatigued and broke strip it down and make a pulling truck out of it then you’ll have both a semi pulling truck and a 4 x 4 pulling truck to as well as you can find a good tractor body to make a pulling tractor that covers all three just about
Love it Bruce!! The thumping sounds to me like a lash issue, and maybe one of the injectors is not opening up properly. Once you cure that, put about 10% more fuel to it, and add 75-100 rpm off the line to start, and see what happens. You should be able to send it to the house. Should be pushing about 60-70 psi of boost. As far as weight goes, I dont know if the air cyliners can handle it, but put some iron plate behind the bumper to add 250 pounds or so, and then a box on the rear by the 5th wheel, where you can put iron into. The pull looked great, especially the attitude of the truck during pulling. Needs a lot more fuel, for sure. Keep up the good hard work, my friend.
It's either a fuel or rod knock hard to tell over video but it's definitely could be a rod knock after horsing the truck around with injector harness backwards filling cylinders with fluid when not supposed to but hands down never heard a cat sound like a 2 cylinder deere something wrong with it no doubt
Idk anything about semi but that thing still sounds like it got a mean miss I mean I get big injectors lope but that sounds like a dam Hit & Miss engine
Edit : I posted the above comment when I started watching this video. So I hadn’t seen the part where Bruce says he is thinking of building one. My fingers are crossed he goes ahead and does build a pulling tractor. 💪🏼
Bruce I’ve been watched your videos for a long time. Man I’ve watched you go from drag racing and burn out trucks and mud trucks but you seem to be set with the pulling and it seems to make you happy. I’m proud of you man you have came a long way
Been waiting for this, nice work. Seems like the trunk needs some tuning though, don’t push her too hard until then, especially until you get proper gauges. All the best brother.
For the haters 😂

i cant wait to see more modifications done to this truck.. engine specific.. cant wait to hear a cleaner monster idle
Sled pulling is my favorite sport! Cant wait to see this thing rip at more events!!!
That is a dead cyl for sure, you can hear it under full power. Get that right and youll be set
Could be an injector problem
It does sound like one isn’t fueling 100%
For a first pull it looked clean from my house! Only gets better from here 🇺🇸
