We had a Scania Coach up on one of those Bendpak lifts in Wellington New Zealand when a 6.5 Earthquake struck, all it did was sway back and forth. Those lifts are sturdy, definitely worth every penny
Have to love a scania on our roads aye mate 😂 , I drive for weatheralls(freshways) doing Auckland to chch, Im always in a freightliner argosy but got to do a run in the 770s and heck it was so comfortable compared to the argosy but definitely missed having a straight pipe 😂
th-cam.com/video/AipkzuF4I6M/w-d-xo.html there's also Pekka Herlevi doing truck pulling on a tractor pulling track while having a tractor pulling tractor loaded on his pulling truck.
Hello Bruce. About your pulling the SCANIA I recodnice that she is far from heavy enough, comparing to US trucks. Thats why spinning! So Scania is not the problem, she is strong enough!! Just put enough load over her axel to make here great again. Good pulling!! Wishing from Sweden.
You want a good tip to turn that scania into a pulling beast? Talk to your buddy Yuri or whoever it is over in Finland about getting a set of those factory portal hubs to put on the back of that thing. Then you can crank the boost up, put it in a tall gear and that thing should be able change the Earths rotation without so much as breaking a sweat! A little more weight on the back end and a better pintle hitch set up probably wouldn't hurt either!!! Not sure if you're aware of this or not but over on the other side of the planet they do use some of these scania's for pulling trucks. Probably wouldn't hurt to do a little digging and research and try to contact one of the guys that actually have professional experience with it!
I should have came up there for the pulls. Watching this is making me regret not coming. Illbe next year for sure. Then ill be able to run my truck in the show.
@@danwilson7776 yeah but I can tell he's nervous, around that Lamborghini. He's Redneck Dade city rich ,not Miami Rich. I say he scared to change the oil😂 I would be.... We'll see....
Pretty sure the tandems have a great advantage over the single axle Scania in pulling, floating across the surface, where the Scania starts digging because of lack of footprint and traction from the second axle. This is where the tandem drive actually does make a positive difference . Not to say you can't make a pull truck out of the Scania, but you'll need bigger wider tires, more weight and possibly more horsepower. Different rearend ratio maybe? th-cam.com/video/KQtG6b5Zkso/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
@BruceWilson so pumped for flat nasty to return on the channel, one of the nastiest second gens on the planet! been waiting for this day since your return to TH-cam stardom!
Bruce the way I see it, it's not really an unfinished project when it becomes a profited sale and when you can take something that you bought that needs some fixing up and do nothing more than use it for a minute and then flip it for a profit, that's the name of the game and good business
Hey Bruce i am a European men, and i like that rv so much what a nice thing, i know its from 1988 that is my birthyear, wat a nice peace of amarican rv,'s ❤
U need to come to the uk 🇬🇧 and see @Trucker Tim pure Scania mad he is i feel u will be here soon i can't wait i feel it in my fingers great content to come...🤘🏾😎
that was some careless driving ... you very nearly side-swiped your gorgeous Pete with that t"rd Scania; close! For God's sake put some dang mirrors back on that thang 😂 ... be thankful you've got good buddies watching out for you, know their value 🙏😇
darrell fannins green hornet peterbilt is badass. you know something cut out because he likes to run it up the pile at the end of the run just to show the sled isnt stopping it.
You should import tandem rear axles and a low roof cab for the 4 series. Make it look a bit less rediculous. With the low roof cab it should still be legal on the trailer 👍
Wow was that first pull a jet-powered pull truck? I really like watching the flames melt banners that are 300 feet behind the jet engine right before it does a 5-second 300mph 1320-foot pass.
The 2 cab overs husband and wife they run the circuit up here in Ohio came to a pull we were pulling one of our semis just tuned up the ecm and they showed up was like we ain’t gonna do nothing tonight there badass
Cant wait to see this scania to have that T-Cab Svempas look with new paint and fuel tanks plus front and rear lights!! Great video as always bruce! :>
Can't believe they still have single brake chambers. No air, no brakes. European and English trucks all have spring parking brakes that apply themselves if the air pressure drops below 75 psi . We haven't used single diaphragms since the seventies.
Hi Bruce why didnt you use the controls in the cab to lift the rear suspension that would have put more weight on the back axle and the sled would not put so much pressure on the Scania
u better to contatct Team Herlevi pulling and Savon Raskashuolto. 2 Finnish big rig tuners and truck pullers, Savon Raskashuolto does have 2500hp Scania V8
Is it possible to put a Freightliner COE cab on that Scania convertable with some customization? Keep all the Swedish guts, but have a body you can find parts for in the States?
So my question is with jet engines a typical battery won’t have the power to start them so you need an APU to get the power. So my question is are APUs used on jet engine tractors too?
Well business expense did a great job but the scania I don't know what you're going to do with that the Peterbilt camper see I knew that was a lot of work when you first bought it have a good day
you should watch some pulling when you go to scandinavia next time.. we have one a few hundred meters down the road from where i live, where people come from all over europe (powerpull dk)
You should import an Iveco V8. Those are way bigger and beefier than Scania V8's. They use Iveco 17.2L V8's for sled pulling a lot in the Netherlands with great succes. Another good sled pulling truck is a MAN with the 18.2 V10.
Would you consider purchasing a Scania TCAB V8 to use as another sled puller. I honestly think that would be a cool edition to the Bruce Wilson channel
If you want a real advantage in truck pulling you need to ditch the manual transmission. I just finished a highly modified Allison tc10 that is going in a pulling truck and so far with the data I have received from my customer it has a massive advantage over a manual transmission. One advantage of a torque converter is torque multiplication. This is a fully automatic hydraulically shifted transmission and not an automated manual transmission. This transmission shifts without lifting at full power. The second transmission I am building is a highly modified Allison 6000 series for another pulling truck. When all the tuning and calibration is complete the transmission will be placed in drive and the pedal pushed to the floor until the pull is over.
We had a Scania Coach up on one of those Bendpak lifts in Wellington New Zealand when a 6.5 Earthquake struck, all it did was sway back and forth. Those lifts are sturdy, definitely worth every penny

Getting an aftermarket tandem tag axle, making it a 4x6 would help as well as the American trucks competing was 4x6 drive as well.
WE NEED IN CAB FOOTAGE FROM THE PULLS PLZ!!! AMAZING VIDEOS ALSO!! KEEP EM COMING MAN
Gotta love the Scott's black and red cabover sportin the big Cummins sticker on the side and a big Yellow Cat engine in it.
Bruce I don’t usually comment but the pulling truck with the double stacks sounds awesome. Makes it even look bad to the bone. Be safe God bless.
HI bruce that is one of the nice trucks i have seeing in a long time hope you have a good pulling competition all the best from ireland
Hi Bruce, i live in Australia in Perth. Im 67 and love your channel.
Your flat black Pete is a thing of beauty! ... and oh that cammed / rough-idle sound, menacing! 🤘🥰🤩👍👋👏🤘
Great video Bruce looking forward to a new flat nasty Great videos with the first 1 👍
Oh hell yes flat nasty making a return. One time it was a badddddd unit! I love the pulling videos as well keep it coming
For the right person, that Pete motorhome will be a great platform to make a sick truck. I wish them the best of luck.
Bruce you need to turn the Scania into a mad max looking machine the rear guards giving vibes

Surprised that they let the Scania make a pull. Would think that for safety they would require a rollbar on that open cab.
I see trucks rolling over every pull😂😂
Gotta watch it in those high speed hairpins
Semis are tin cans anyway..the roof adds zero protection anyway if the truck rolls over lol
@@leejohnson6173 american trucks maybe, a scania can take a semi to the face and youl survive
Uh take the Scania home b just go ahead n scrap it
You are amazing, Mr. Wilson
Scania lovers not owners sour about Bruce's chop top. That old truck wasn't worth restoring. Its paid for itself in content and😊 thanks Bruce..

Saw em in edgerton ohio once
Love the peterbelt and the scania

In here Finland and EU those long nose scanias are rare vehicles, which cost a lot....
Who would have thought 2 drive axels is better than a single screw truck 😂
@@leejohnson6173 It was never built for running on dirt. 🤣🤣
there are european single rear axle pulling trucks that will wash the floor with anything seen here lol
@@MadEvo606 Sure, but none of them run standard tires. All big tire pullers.
The Flat Nasty comeback.. im stoked
😂 TOO MANY PROJECTS!!!!
Been there , done it , UNFORTUNATELY STILL dealing with it. 😄😂😆🤣

Might wanna add some drive shaft loops and weeee bit more center frame support. Ol Scania GOT TORQUE , she is flexin a weeeee bit much.

The Pete pulling truck needs chrome raincaps it would look awsome.

I love the looks and sound of the Pete pulling truck How much power you got it turned up and what cam and pistons and stroke and boar you got it at

Should run the black truck with the short stacks, sounds much better.
For loose soil, classic hydraulic automatic is best transmission. As for griffon: frame is already rust so going with 6x4 is reasonable choice.
