Eat your vegetables too. :) not just meat. whole plant foods, supplements like vitamin D, K2, and B12, excercise, no caffeine or sugar, sleep early, and massage scalp daily, and don’t maintain toxic relationships to avoid stress.
This is one of the most informative videos ive seen in YEARS. Literally answered all my questions regarding all the symptoms ive been experiencing for years.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:29 📊 Pathological hair loss occurs when hormones are not reaching the hair follicles fast enough. 02:04 🔄 Hair follicles go through phases of growth, rest, and shedding, with stress triggering the transition to the restorative phase. 02:57 🔥 Chronic inflammation, caused by factors like chronic stress and insulin resistance, negatively impacts hair follicle health. 03:37 ⚙️ High insulin levels prevent fat-based hormones from reaching the hair follicles, limiting their ability to stimulate hair growth. 04:30 🥩 A ketogenic diet, by lowering insulin levels, increases the availability of fat-based hormones to the hair follicles, promoting hair growth. 05:12 💥 Weight loss and transitioning into ketosis can initially cause hair shedding due to the shock to the system. 06:08 ⏳ Hair growth takes time, and expensive treatments or shampoos are unnecessary. Waiting allows the hair to naturally grow back with the help of healthy fat-based hormones.
Such an excellent clear explanation. Thank you so much. I started keto back in 2018 after a whole 9 months of research in advance and it has been the absolute best decision of my life. It completely not only changed my life but changed how I view the world. It started as a diet, developed into a lifestyle, and is now a mindset. I have completely stopped processed food since December 2023, including ground beef or almond milk. For the past 6 months I have been extending my fasts without even trying. My abs have been visible for months by just a simple morning workout or swimming sessions. Something that never happened before even gym with 4 times a week. My mom also started keto in 2019 and has full head of hair, overcame her menopause issues, her back pain, her obesity.
I had thick hair so thick I had to have thinned 2x a year. After doing keto in 2020 lost 84lbs & my hair got so thin..my hair salon lady thought I was sick. After further research I upped my protein lower fat in 2022 & my hair is now coming back thicker. I also take hair/collagen supplements. I am no longer keto just low carb & still have maintained my fat loss & labs good. I feel better wirh higher protein...helps my muscles as I do resistance training.
@@mickrozycki451 General advice is 0.8 to 1 gram per pound of lean body mass. Figure out roughly what your ideal weight should be and multiply by at least 0.8. If you can get at least close to that number, you’ll be good.
@@mickrozycki451 no more than 30% of your intake a day, because gluconeogenisous process will convert the excess protein into glucose. That’s they entire purpose of a keto diet, keep carbs and glucose at 5-10% of intake and 70% fat.
I am mostly keto, definitely not carnivore. I intermittent fast and have been eating this way for 4 years. I no longer have blood sugar spikes which has been a blessing. Never been a diabetic, but I apparently was eating the wrong foods until I started eating high fat and lower carbs. I had covid during this time and did not notice hair loss. I have heard some horror stories about that. Also, at 67 do not notice hair loss. I am on estradiol patches and progesterone, and I personally have to give credit to that component, along with having good genetics. My dad was 84 when he passed and still had a decent amount of hair. My mother only started thinning when she got cancer and passed at 67.
Collagen peptides saved me. My hair was thinning so bad for over a year. I would end up with a sink full of hair. Every time I brushed it. The only thing I did different was supplement with college peptides. It took about 2 to 3 months and now my hair is growing back, like crazy! I also take vitamin D3 with K2. Hope this helps someone
This video confirmed my thoughts. I had hair loss initially as well. It was concerning, but all of my labs came back as normal and I was just so happy to finally be successful at losing weight. Since I had noticed fruit trees drop their fruit and much of their leaves during a drought, but come back strong once the drought was over I assumed my hair thinning might be temporary as well. It was. As soon as my weight loss began to level off, my hair loss stopped and my hair soon started growing back. This isn't the first time my hair fell out. The first time was when I changed careers. It was a very stressful time but eventually my hair regrew that time too.
@danilondon835 I didn't have any treatments either time. When I changed jobs my hair grew back when I found a new job where I was happy. When I lost weight (85 lbs) my hair grew back when my weight loss slowed down.

Please do more videos on hair loss, I have lost a lot of my hair since 16 and if it was not because of my family thick hair gene, I would likely be bold now 😢😢😢 I really miss those years when I have really really thick and long hair

I have had a thin patch on my head for years. After taking Zinc tablets for about one month I noticed I couldn't see my scalp anymore. My hair is also thicker. I am thrilled!
FINALLY someone explaining hairloss in a way that makes sense! No one has a propecia deficiency, so you're not treating the root cause with these drugs.
That's where I am. Years of thinning hair and it turned out I had severe endometriosis. Now going through menopause since a recent hysterectomy and it keeps getting worse
@sofac8252 Yes.. absolutely, but only if serious new lifestyles and diets are motivated and modified. But.. also, keep in mind that as long as there are still baby hairs left. The massaging of the scalp also helps.. relieve stress and help in better nutritional blood to hair follicles. Everything I'm mentioning has helped me significantly.. so I am not just making all this up.
I started losing hair 1 year after starting keto. Not weeks or months like most. And I have stress from a family member... I'm very happy with the results from rubbing red onion and oils into my scalp. The shedding was reduced 3 times with just the 1st use. Red Onion is the king, better than oils.
Onion juice rubbed on your hair and/or skin will only smell for a few minutes until it is absorbed into the skin. Then there is no smell, unlike when you eat it which depending on your metabolism can make you reek like onions for days. I personally cannot eat onions anymore even though I love them due to their high sulfur content, however, I use them on my skin and hair all the time@@nicolejnncszczesny
@@Silverpump I used fresh Red Onions' juice. The onions was something that helped with the hair Loss. Not the growth. I now use another item for the growth which helps with the loss too
Rob English hair expert researcher explains a combination of reasons including stress and a tight scalp as most are deficient in collagen on head - tight scalp and stress. Men have hairy chests and beards and some think it's too much testosterone but it's often a blocking of testosterone or other factors. It helps to use a sports massager on the head along with topical zinc copper + A mixed with aloe vera + magnesium oil + eat collagen and glycine and use hair stamp needling 1 a week
After my last blood work my Dr insisted I stop my vitamin D supplement. My hair fell out like never before, I was so thin you could see my scalp. After follow up blood work and her approval of the new numbers, I went back on vitamin D and the fall out stopped.
@@christinehopping thanks for th kind thoughts. I have just learned about the goodness of sardines. Gonna add them to my diet regularly now. The funny thing is that my vet had me put my dog on them. Maybe I should just see my vet instead of my Dr. 😅
For as far back as I can remember I've always had a very fine, scanty head of hair. I have tried so many things over the years that I've given up, I just use the powdered hair fibres now.😢😢 I am now hearing about the collagen in the comments, worth a try.
I am in Ketocontinuum #6 (74 years old, BTW) and my hair has grown 1 inch in the last month! No thinning at all that I can notice. I've got to get my roots done a month early now. Half an inch per month is normal growth for me. I will never quit this fasting lifestyle! I feel younger than I have felt in decades!
My own result is a cup of camomile tea and 3 tsps of fresh lemonjuice. Use cold from fridge after shampooing and leave on and allow to drip off for a few minutes. Dry with soft towel and avoid dryer. Repeat as often as you can at least 3 times a week untill you see an improvement. Observe and repeat if necessary. 😇
Age > 50. Since keto/carnivore 90%, my hair is thicker than in high school. My vision is sharp no corrective lenses needed to drive/read. Blood work is perfect. My doctors are shocked. Two doctors touched my flesh and muscles, because they could not believe at my age that my flesh is like a young girl. I tell people eat more fat to stay young.
I have been on a keto diet for about two weeks now and at first I was dissapointed with the results. I was getting moody and begun to get pretty depressed, it turned out that I was missing electrolytes. By following mealplans (in my case *DynamicKeto* ) I started to see what I should eat. what really gets me going is that my hair started to look better to!
So, whatever we do, we're gonna lose hair. I've been on strict keto almost 2 years, no insulin resistance anymore, no high glucose, I'm not obese nor was I ever (lost 8 kg to come to my ideal youth weight), I have no or little stress in my life, I eat a clean diet, take a fistful of suplements daily (D3+K2, Zn, Mg, K, Fish oil, Omega 3 ...) and my hair is still falling out like crazy.
You might have circulation and iron issues. Try Nitric Oxide see if that works, and fish oils are not good to take they lower your thyroid hormones which will make hair fallout. Polyunsaturated fats will lower thyroid function. Fish oils are loaded with those types of fats.
@@Pllm30 This type of answer remind me little bit of Ray. I did not eat polysaturated oils for years as well as omega 3 and my hairs get even worse. For me more simple suger intake definitely not work for hair. Still feel my body dont like "not sure" milk things, grains which made my skin oily itchy. I also dont understand how someone can recomend keto which can destroy energy level and weight. And as regards hair experts mostly they dont look in big picture example even thing like sodium sulfate in shampoos if used ages can damage hair folicules forever (so not just food, not just bad sleep..)
I have been ketovore for four months…I am losing hair like crazy And am very concerned…still hoping for this stage to be over And the regrowth you say will happen… praying it’s soon, hair is looking thin…On top….. 😢
Eat liver! Try to eat beef liver as it’s more nutritious than chicken liver. But any liver is fine. Make sure to keep up on your electrolytes. And eat 7-10 cups salad/ veggies a day, and add NON fortified nutritional yeast
I was having issues with no energy, brain fog and a lot of hair loss. I tried donating blood and my iron was too low. Went to the doc and blood work came back with a ferritin of 16. I had been eating a lot of red meat and eggs, so I was very confused, but I started an iron supplement every other day, 2 months later, a ferritin of 38. I don't take the supplements regularly as I am terrible at remembering and I haven't had iron level checked since Oct '22, but my hair loss is better and I have a lot of baby hairs! Still trying to get back on track with cleaning up my diet. I let that doc get in my head about how keto isn't for everyone and I went down a spiral for about 9 months.
I started taking Taurine about 3 months ago and haven't found one hair at the bottom of the shower since. Also great for eyesight and inflammation, VO2 max and stuff like that. Super cheap in powder form. Not sure if my bald spot is shrinking but learning it takes 3 months to grow a hair through the skin makes me want to wait three more months before I try anything else. Chicken has a lot of Taurine but the line at Chick-fil-A is way too long.
Have never done keto, but after getting neuropathy from severe cobalamin deficiency, being exposed to black mold in the workplace, and later getting C0VID, my head of hair really thinned out horrible. Am trying to detox my body with vitamins and exercise, but it's not working fast or very well.
I have been unable to make ketones, probably due to insulin resistance from Ozempic. Due to the unavailability of Ozempic, I decided to see if I could put the Type2 Diabetes into remission. This is the end of second week. Still no ketones, so I started ordering your products. Today your ketones in a can came in. Directions said for new users to use one scoop. Gotta say, taste doesn't appeal to me, but one scoop caused the ketones to register at 4.0 so far with BS of 90. If this doesn't kick start the mitochondria into producing ketones, then nothing will.
How did Ozempic cause you Insulin Resistance since Ozempic is what's actually making my Insulin resistance go away? Many people use it to treat that condition as well and i've never heard of it actually causing it in a patient.
One of Ozempics' big jobs is to make the pancreas produce more insulin. More insulin is what keeps the BS down. That's why some diabetics cannot lose weight. I was eating very little, yet I gained weight. All the insulin that is being produced just keeps stuffing glucose into the liver, and when that is full, it stuffs fat cells with more fat. A vicious cycle. I am eating pretty strict keto diet now to keep BS under control.
There's Keto and then there's healthy Keto. Meat, fresh leafy greens, low carb vegies, some berries, seeds and nuts and healthy fats. Everyone can fix insulin resistance that way. Taking manufactured drugs is a bandaid not a cure.
I've been on keto + carnivore + OMAD now for 5.5 years. My hair thinned out in the beginning, first few months, when eating only eggs, bacon, and red meat (steak and burgers) for my one meal a day (also drinking coffee w/cream). After switching over to eating only chicken (thighs and wings with the thick chicken skin) my hair has been fuller than ever. I've been told it's all of the collagen and amino acids in the chicken skin. It's done wonders for me for the last 4.5 years! I still drink coffee and cream during the day but 90% of my daily calories is from chicken.
@@liztowers2058 No, true keto is simply tapping into ketosis, which requires limiting carbohydrates to less then 30g per day for most people. This can be done with meat or veggies, it doesn't matter. I stay under 15g carbs per day, and fat is 75% of my diet, 20% is protein.
@@babyfriedrice1874 No, my diet is mostly fat. I eat chicken wings and chicken thighs (with skin) which are both about 1:1 protein:fat. Fat is 9 calories per gram and protein is 4 calories per gram. Then drinking coffee with heavy cream, which is all fat, my daily calories are usually 75% fat and 20% protein.
I had the opposite happen to me. If I focus more on chicken I get bald spots, tons of my hair fall out. Once I increase beef, eggs and fish the hair stops falling out and begins to grow back.
I think the 7 years of chronic pain waiting for double hip replacement ( accident + OsteoNecrosis) is causing the hair loss.Perhaps after pain relief my hair'll grow!?😊
This makes sense. I started keto about 8 months ago. But went really hard with it 6 months ago and holy cow my hair is falling out. I couldn't figure it out. I thought it was my hairbrush or because I wear ponytails when I run... I've been seeing new hair growth tho... Just thinner towards the ends. I'm about to get a haircut it looks so thin
It’s not funny. I was doing really well on Keto until my hair started to fall out. I stopped Keto but can’t get my hair back right. Am I stressed. Yes my hair keeps falling out.
Well i have got hairloss for so long time that i did not notice anything that would´ve changed when i beginned keto lifestyle. I´ve been on keto about eight months now and sometimes i think am i hallusinating or is my hair got thicker in last months. There is so much of healing all over my body and in my health going on that i can´t even keep up with everything. If my hair really starts groving back it would not surprise me. I have overcome so much other skin related problems i couldn´t even dream of. So let see what the future will bring as the healing goes forward.
@@fashionbakerydesigns7488 Itwent well for a while. But i had hypothyrodism at the backround that caused lots of problems. I had developed many symptoms five years before i started keto. So one major issue that happened 4 months ago were mild heart attack. But if that wouldnt be happening, i wouldn´t propably relized to doctor for those hypothyrodism issues at all. After getting medication for that my health started to get better. I healed about 75% of my skin problems before getting those meds and the rest after that. I´ve been on keto now 16 months. After 15 months i had lost 94.8 lbs (43kg). This last month i have build more muscle so the weight has gone first up, but then came down to same weight. Haven´t been as healthy and slim for over 23 years. So i can say that big changes has happened trough my journey.
I know I started keto and I never had a problem with my hair falling out . Now all of a sudden it’s coming out fast , I do believe it had to do with keto.
Dr. Boz. You are a rock star. All that information was brand new. I had no idea that you could possibly lose hair at the beginning of a ketogenic diet. I love dialing up your You Tube channel. Lots to learn....
thanks dr boz for the explantion. i have thin hair but a lot of it and always have, but at 63 i switched from keto to carnivore and for the first time i have had hair loss, like type 2. its strange because nails and hair have never been an issue. No stress and good sleep the last 8 years.
I was pretty thin when I went keto / carnivore and I had had a baby the year prior. I lost so much hair. I think initially it was the post patron hair loss and the. It was the keto change. My hair has thinned soooo much. It’s been like 7 months. Slowly less is falling out and now I’m trying to increase my protein even more. I hope to see results soon. It was so hard to get the right level of protein I needed as someone that use to eat very little meat.
I am on keto but I am eating 180 protein, 20 gram carb and 100 gram from fat. My 20 grams is mostly from fiber. My fat is from whole eggs, cod live fat and MCT oil and olive oil. I was 215 and I am down to 196 lb. I am trying get to 8-12% body fat. I think I have 16 lb. more to loose. Protein is everything. I take blood keto test and I am 3.0 in the morning.
5 years on keto, my hair was very thick prior to keto but has thinned out a lot on top ever since. While it has grown back, It never fully returned to it's original thickness.
@@daniby9894 To stay in shape and it's a healthier way of eating. When I started Keto I had hit 140kg very obese, that was in mid 2018. Today I weigh 85kg lean and muscular thanks to 5 years in the Gym and Keto.
@@elettramia6380 No, it did not. I am currently doing ketovore. I probably should have added that up until 1 month ago I was on 4 different meds, and I have some mobility issues do to a car wreck, back when w/nerve damage. (Going keto helped alot with those issues - I am off my meds👍👍) I'm sure those 'issues' factor in, in some compacity as well.
That's right, I've been doing keto for 2 month and every time i go to my barber he say why your hair is shedding!? I had no clue what's going on. Unfortunately it's still shedding, i was terrified about my hair, but i will wait if it stops. Thank you 🖤.
Hi Dr Boz, I just came across your channel via this video, I’m suffering with hormonal hair loss and I am exactly like the picture you shared on the thumbnail of the video which is really affecting my confidence and day to day life, I would really appreciate an email address I can contact you on for sharing further issues I have and seeking advice on how to overcome this. Looking forward to a response. Many thanks, S
Did you get a reply? I'm the same, been having hormonal problems for a few years that turned out to be severe endometriosis. Now after a hysterectomy I'm going through the change. I really noticed the difference a couple of years ago and it keeps getting worse
This video is a Godsend. I started carnivore almost 3 months ago and feel like I have thinned big time and it’s terrible. Hopefully not much longer before I see some hopeful regrowth…
Great video! Thank you. My story was this; Had severe Graves’ disease for five years and then had Thyroidectomy in 2015. To say my hair was wrecked was an understatement it was falling out everywhere. But in 2016, I found a VERY special shampoo and special oil and 7 years later have got the hair of a teenager and I’m 64. I credit it to the oil that goes down to the papilla, CAPIXYL™, PROCATALINE™ and other proprietary ingredients. I likely would’ve been bald, so am grateful I found their products.
My hair knotted daily. I don’t like to comb it out. I use RICE. WATER . I’m almost a size 6 . I have my weight down . 30” measurements @ belly button. I’ve switched to a more protein (carnivore diet). .. egg cheese bacon . I’ve cut the sugar . I cut the bread, after listening I think I understand something I’ve been doing wrong in my diet plan.
Learning a lot from this channel- thank you. Does taking statins also promote hair loss? Noticing alot of thinning after a couple months. I'm hoping to get off it.
It can be really difficult to trust doctors online and social media but I appreciate the brief brake-down regarding this kind of hairloss. I’ve had hairloss since 19 years of age (I’m 43 now, female). I’ve had consistent hairloss and it was so slow in terms of my hair becoming thin that it was in the background of things I worried about. In my late 30’s I was diagnosed with both PCOS and Hashimoto’s syndrome. Now I am at stage 3 of hairloss and have to wear powder to compensate. Unfortunately my health had never been a priority to me, mental health issues, lack of guidance, appropriate support, bad choices have fueled where I am at. I don’t want to be in this state anymore and the video helped lit a little fire in me. I badly want my hair back but know I can’t without really figuring out and advocating for myself how I can get better.
I am surprised to hear , you actually mentioned what happened to me . I lost 14 kgs in 4 months with Keto diet , resucing my blood sugar . All of a sudden , I lost my most of hair in a month and I can see the skin . I hope it will come back . I stop the diet , at least eating fruits avoiding breads.

My hair tripled in thickness after starting the Keto-carnivor diet, taking vitamin d & other supplements and a redlight helmet (although my hair started growing back befor I'dgotten the helmet... I'm going to try a few more things ga.
IDK how not eating crappy foods make you lose your hair. I went from eating all starches, sugar, junk food etc. to eating veg, salad and proteins. How is this bad for hair growth if I eliminated all the junky foods that were causing inflammation?
No bloody idea, but it's definitely only something I've noticed since keto. I load up on animal protein and fat and my hair breaks off at barely 2 inch long.
on carnivorous diet 8 months the most incredible hair grow - FAST ! However, it was not most healthy, so I cut it - and started nourishing hair with oils and stop washing it often . My hair did regain luster and strength !
Whenever i had a sore in my mouth when i was younger, the pharmacist would give me a handful of vit e capsules. (i live in korea.) These days, although i don't get sores anymore, my husband who is not keto will get them often and when I go to the pharmacy they never give vitamins. Just strong medications, so I got a bottle of vit e from overseas.
I just got diagnosed with PCOS last year. I’m trying to change my diet. My hair has been falling out at a rapid rate for the past few months. I noticed hair loss at 19 years old but I was going through loads of stress. Now I’m taking vitamin D, Folate Acid, made a rosemary oil shampoo and eating more dark veggies. What am I doing wrong?
Dr Boz ❤ thank you for sharing this! I was wondering what was happening to me! Now I know! Keep up the great work you are doing by sharing these important messages with us! Love you❤😊🎉
The past few months I’ve been eating mostly carnivore very low carbs. My stomach feels a lot better zero gas but I’m losing my hair really bad and I’m 58. I really don’t want to go back to eating all these carbs. I had blood drawn today so we will see if it’s my hormones. If the blood work comes back fine I’m at a loss.
I went carnivore 11/2023 when I reached 220 lbs. I lost 20 lbs by 12/2023 and cut my hair, which is now almost the same length from when I cut it. This has never happened to me. EVER! Unfortunately, I relapsed this march, but I am back on track again. My hair grew in 4 months what previously took a whole year. I am/was insulin resistant.
I hope to God that my hair eventually gets out of this shedding phase. I did lose weight over the course of 6-7 months (about 40 pounds in total), and I am technically in the underweight category now. I went about the weight loss in a heathy way, diet and exercise and making sure to eat enough protein and fats, but I can’t help worrying that my diet and my current weight has caused this hair loss. And I won’t know for sure until a couple of months from now, when either my hair stops shedding and begins regrowing OR i continue losing and losing and losing :( currently, I’m upping my calories, taking vitamins and supplements, and applying topical minoxidil to bring blood flow to my scalp to hopefully kick start the hair growth cycle again
my hair started going thin soon after I had a kidney transplant, and began taking immunosuppressants!. I don't seem to be able to maintain a good Vitamin D level, it keeps falling extremely low!. Would starting Rogaine help to start growing my hair again?. By the way, you look amazing for 52....
I am new here… first - thank you Annette for this place! I have one question and hope I get an answer. Can I get all the positive things keto can do for me…when I don’t eat meat? I am a vegetarian since 5 years… my hair fall starts a little more than 4 years ago. Last year I lost more more and more… now I have less than half of my normal Hair … and I never had that lion hair. Blood test was ok … everything normal just a little bit less iron - so I took supplements and now it’s ok. The last time I am thinking a lot to go back to eat meat. (I stoped it cause of ethical reasons) I ask myself if I would feel better again and save my hair if I go back to meat. Or if I can do vegetarian keto and get the same benefits. Please please answer Annette ❤
I've lost around 15 kgs through regular jogg and High intensity sprints...my hair shedded consistently to a point i can see scalp directly...Now hairfall has stopped and seeing baby hairs here n there will my hair grow back...? What are the supplements can i take? Btw highly informative vdo..!👏
Been on ketogenic diet since 2013 and I have a full head of hair. I didn't go keto because I wanted to lose weight though. I just prefer to eat like this, and I hate sugary food.
Started Keto last December, lost a LOT of weight...... and hair... and it isn't growing back. Keto seemed to accelerate MPB which is causing even more stress.
Keto isn’t the way.. Go full carnivore! Just two weeks ago, I was struggling with a weight of 520lbs, unable to comfortably walk for more than 5 minutes due to my back issues. But things have completely turned around in just two weeks! Thanks to the Carnivore diet and fasting, I've already lost an incredible 40lbs! To be honest, I was skeptical when some mainstream doctors recommended supplements or dismissed fasting as a 'fad' or 'conspiracy.' But I can say from my own experience that they were mistaken! The Carnivore diet has truly changed my life for the better by completely annihilating my cravings, and I'm excited to keep going and see more positive changes. Lets keep pushing the truth everyone! 🔥
I didn't go keto but I decreased my carbs and increased my fat intake while on a small deficit for 6 months, with intermittent fasting I lost around 12 pounds in 6 months and decreased my bodyfat percentage from 17% to 11% , I'm eating lots of veggies and healthy fats and enough protein " everything should improve " but I'm shedding a lot of hair and my hair is thinning, I also improved my free and total testosterone, I had a period of depression as well, I don't know if I'm developing rapid male pattern baldness or toligen effluvium, I did an online consultation with a dermatologist and he diagnosed me with toligen effluvium and requested blood work. Seeing my hair soo week is making me more stressed
I did Atkins but never lost any weight but did end up with thick shiny hair, infact it was too thick and skin was better to. Must have been the low sugar, high protein and fat. All them nuts, fats, eggs, avocados and olive oil.
I believe that hair from scalp out is dead appendage! Hair is the extension of our nervous system. How does keto help the nervous system, can you breakdown the process please? You're awesome Dr. Box! Thank you for your time & care! 🙏❤️🤗
I am a 40 year old woman and 2 years back started having hair loss dr diagnosed telogen effluvium and prescribed minidoxil, I was scared to take it, my pcp said age, I felt hopeless started taking prenatal improved it a bit
Dear Dr, in a nutshell; Keto is good for my hair. I just have to wait until the new and stronger hair grows back. Besides Vit. D can you recommend more vitamins for hair growth. Thank you.
I am a 53 year old man. This is the first year of my life I’ve started to notice my scalp coming through. I am distressed about it. My vitamin D blood test came back normal. I hope I am not autoimmune. I’ve also developed very mild neuropathy symptoms. I wonder if it’s all connected
I am doing keto, and I have almost 0 hairs that fall out now. I do eat super healthy though and made this change pretty recently (few months back). Yet a lot has changed, let me explain! I used to lose a lot of hair since the start of covid, it was seriously insane... every time my hand went through my hair I would take lot’s of hair with it. To the point it was so annoying that I had hairs in my face a lot of the time. I’ve done a lot, essential oils and such. Never medications since I am really against meds. Yeah sorry but I don’t really believe the healthcare system has any good with us :) Well the essential oils helped somewhat, but didn’t really do the trick.. I ate so bad, so I changed that. And now I saw a big difference already! I cut out the carbs and went Keto but I also wanted my testosterone way higher so I cut out a lot of bad stuff in my life. For example (estrogen/dissease and cancerous products): Vegetable oils Soya Carbs (especially the processed ones) Plastic (especially drinking out of plastic) And wow it’s insane... I am not only a beast but my test literally went up 10 times. Keep in mind that I take test boosting supplements but that are also good for other things like magnesium (glycinate) for example. There was one thing that made the biggest change though... and that is since I started to eat gelatin daily. Now I seriously have no hairloss anymore, even less then the average normal human being which is around 150 hairs a day if I am right. I seriously lose maybe around 10/20 hairs maximum😅 I started to take 10 grams of gelatin daily (mixed in hot water, after that in the fridge with some electrolytes that have a stevia flavour) and oh my it’s delicious so that makes it easy for me haha. Thick gelatine daily as a desert and it does great for my hair! I suggest everyone to try this, especially the last part!
Eat your vegetables too. :) not just meat. whole plant foods, supplements like vitamin D, K2, and B12, excercise, no caffeine or sugar, sleep early, and massage scalp daily, and don’t maintain toxic relationships to avoid stress.
Lies. Plants are deficient in these.
Thank you! 🤩 Love from Sweden 💛💙

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:29 📊 Pathological hair loss occurs when hormones are not reaching the hair follicles fast enough.

Wow. You’re amazing. How can you lose 84 lbs?
What brand of hair collagen supplements are you taking and does it help?
.
Well, loosing a bunch of weight is a stressor factor for hair loss.

When you say "fasting lifestyle", are you talking about 24 or 36 hour water-only fasting, or sardines or keto or carnivore or...?

My own result is a cup of camomile tea and 3 tsps of fresh lemonjuice. Use cold from fridge after shampooing and leave on and allow to drip off for a few minutes.
Dry with soft towel and avoid dryer. Repeat as often as you can at least 3 times a week untill you see an improvement. Observe and repeat if necessary. 😇

I likely would’ve been bald, so am grateful I found their products.
.
Hi, can you be more specific what oil or products did you use. You can help save a lot of ppl who are loosing confident due to hair loss.
@@lilyofthevalley5957 Also the products reduce DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) by 48% in men and women, which also helps.
What are the products you use? Thanks
@@michaels999 I’m being blocked from sharing that information with y’all 😒
Love the delivery! Very interesting. :)
How’s the diet going and are you still seeing hair loss?

Keto made my butt fall off😁

That's a good one lol

My hair tripled in thickness after starting the Keto-carnivor diet, taking vitamin d & other supplements and a redlight helmet (although my hair started growing back befor I'dgotten the helmet... I'm going to try a few more things ga.
.
Which brand of vitamin d did you take?
IDK how not eating crappy foods make you lose your hair. I went from eating all starches, sugar, junk food etc. to eating veg, salad and proteins. How is this bad for hair growth if I eliminated all the junky foods that were causing inflammation?
yes this falls under 'make it make sense' in my book too
lol yep. Pisses me off I gave up cake to lose my hair? wut the hellllll lol@@joyslove3858
Minoxidal is a chemical which may have negative health effects down the road. Rosemary oil in a carrier oil accomplishes the same thing.
Such as?
What were your blood work results?
Thank you so much for great information. really appreciate it. Another hope from south korea.
Thank you so much, I really didn't know what was going on..
Thank you for the clear explanation
I’ve done keto on and off for almost two years and my hair and nails have never been better.

Just saw your video, wow 👀
Truth!
@@AnimeQuizTokGlad you mentioned this person had a channel 👍
Haven’t fully committed to carnivore…….yet. However, I love fasting.
yes!!
Great stuff! Very interesting information. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, I was so worried but now I understood about it.
Brilliant. Thank you and God bless you.
I didn't go keto but I decreased my carbs and increased my fat intake while on a small deficit for 6 months, with intermittent fasting I lost around 12 pounds in 6 months and decreased my bodyfat percentage from 17% to 11% , I'm eating lots of veggies and healthy fats and enough protein " everything should improve " but I'm shedding a lot of hair and my hair is thinning, I also improved my free and total testosterone,
I had a period of depression as well, I don't know if I'm developing rapid male pattern baldness or toligen effluvium, I did an online consultation with a dermatologist and he diagnosed me with toligen effluvium and requested blood work.
Thanks for sharing this video!
Amazing explanation!
Nice short video with lots of info!
Thank you for such a great 👍 informative video. But What is D25? Or is it D2, D3, D4 and D5?
I would like to lnow what can be done in menopause. Which hormones should someone take.
What type of shampoo do you recomend to use while loosing hair, I already changed my diet and cut the carbs.
Best explanation ever thank you!!!
Thank you for this great explanation
There's no reason why hormones are selective and affect only the top of the head but not body hair.
Studies?😊
Dear Dr, in a nutshell; Keto is good for my hair. I just have to wait until the new and stronger hair grows back.
Besides Vit. D can you recommend more vitamins for hair growth.
Thank you.
I am a 53 year old man. This is the first year of my life I’ve started to notice my scalp coming through. I am distressed about it. My vitamin D blood test came back normal. I hope I am not autoimmune. I’ve also developed very mild neuropathy symptoms. I wonder if it’s all connected
Neuropathy is often caused by B vitamin deficiencies
@@leslieweller8190 indeed, B-vitamins will help with mood and nerves, more specifically the myelin sheath especially B-12.
Go see a functional medical Dr. Stat! They will test your blood for everything a GP knows nothing about!
Yeah sorry but I don’t really believe the healthcare system has any good with us :)
Well the essential oils helped somewhat, but didn’t really do the trick..
I ate so bad, so I changed that. And now I saw a big difference already! I cut out the carbs and went Keto but I also wanted my testosterone way higher so I cut out a lot of bad stuff in my life.
For example (estrogen/dissease and cancerous products):
Vegetable oils
Soya
Carbs (especially the processed ones)
Plastic (especially drinking out of plastic)
And wow it’s insane...
I seriously lose maybe around 10/20 hairs maximum😅
I started to take 10 grams of gelatin daily (mixed in hot water, after that in the fridge with some electrolytes that have a stevia flavour) and oh my it’s delicious so that makes it easy for me haha. Thick gelatine daily as a desert and it does great for my hair!
I suggest everyone to try this, especially the last part!
what brand do you use?
What brand of gelatin?
What is gelatin
@@kamea4023 It’s a dutch brand, it’s from “De Kruidenbaron”, I suggest to just search for an animal based gelatin powder.
Mine is beef gelatin.
