Catmimi & Batam I played snare drum in my first parade on my 11th birthday in 1948 and continued my drumming career through high school, university, US Army and police bands until 1977. So, I’ve seen and heard a lot of bands but Kyoto Tachibana is the only band I’ve ever seen that brought tears to my eyes…tears of pure joy and happiness. I’ve seen you get emotional watching them too and I’ve read many, many video comments that share that same reaction. Tachibana and tears seem to go together. Catmimi referred to them as “our Tachibana band”. I understand, they are special to me too…for 5 years now. All I can say is that KT is a wonderfully unique and special organization…Japan could not have chosen any better ambassadors to Taiwan. Thanks for reacting to them in this important event. Great job as usual. 🙂

Just three years in the band and then of to pasture new in their life’s. But that three year journey is something that will remain in their hearts forever ❤ The future is bright the future is Orange 🍊

It seems to me that this style is more powerful and physical than previous years with wide arm sweeps and even more dramatic choreography. More and more people have come to know us through the Rose Parade in 2012 and 2018, performances at Disneyland, performances at facilities and halls, and BAND FEST. 2018 is the last year for the adviser/coach to retire, and the "Tachibana High School Brass Band Club" is active under a new conductor. This time, in October 2022, the Kyoto Tachibana High School brass band club was invited to the National Foundation Day event for the first time by the Taiwanese government. Also, in 2025, "Orange Devil Again" will participate in the Rose Parade, so we would appreciate it if you could see the performance of the Kyoto Tachibana High School Brass Band.
