The DM for this class is very talented. She is beautiful and graceful. A great leader for the band. They always give a great performance and I am pleased that they did a show in Taiwan.
Taiwan is lucky to get a taste of The Best Marching Band in The World. And when they play "By The Riverside," you know The Party is coming down the lane!
Hey Mama! You know this must be the experience of a lifetime for our Girls and Boys - The Stars of the Show on Taiwan's Great Day! From the many videos I've seen huge crowds turned out to watch them rehearsing, even the rehearsal without instruments!! I must give a shout out to the Taipei First Girls High School who also put on a Spectacular and contrasting display - they were Excellent! and shots of the 2 schools having a great time together were a sight to see! Congratulations to Taiwan for staging a Marvelous Show and Bravo to you Mama, you always put on a Great Show!
absolutely congratulations to Taipei who organised thus beautiful events that add story to everyone's life and for sure to Kyoto Tachibana group there experience and may be they will be invited next time.
Hello, the Taipei First Girls High School Band, their Honor Guard and their Dace Team were chosen to participate in the 2023 Tournament of Roses Parade. Despite the rainstorms, they gave excellent and memorable performances. Yay Taipei!
@@clutchpedalreturnsprg7710Taipei First Girls High School Band must be much richer than KT to be wearing HIGH HEELS - but cannot dance. KT only wear cheap student shoes.
Unlike the Rose Parade where current and past students were invited to participate, this group only consisted of the active high school students. All the names you mentioned such as Chippi, Hitomi and Mita were past graduates and they weren't there.
Just to add to this comment. The kid’s only do three years with the band and then graduate to another school or university. The third year run the band and develop the first and second year and so on. It’s a how you would say a continuous progression of year after year. Chippi and Mita are involved with a band called Ovils,( which is a take on Orange Devils), band consists of ex members of Tachibana. The band was formed by Yuina Mita and has a large following. In case you are interested, Yuina is about to give birth to a baby 👍 So we are all waiting to hear the news with bated breath 🙏 The future is bright the future is Orange 🍊 and now Ovils 🍊
About 30 years ago I had a class in graduate school with a television reporter from Taipei Taiwan. She was studying in the US at Central Missouri University. I have wondered how she is faring, I think her name is Che Lo.
In the beginning, they were talking about how she has Japanese and Taiwanese parents and he is indigenous Formosan and all people are happy together in Taiwan before introducing the guests from Japan. The woman in the tan jacket is the Taiwan President. She took the time a couple of days before to personally meet with the band. The song they were marching to after the fanfare, "Enter the Gladiators", is mostly associated with 'circus music' in the USA. There are a couple of reasons why they use nicknames and they are secret. In their culture, one person standing out from the group is frowned upon. It is also to protect the kids from creepy people tracking them down,. An exception is made for the drum major since she is the spokesman for the group. Over time a few other nicknames have leaked out (like Chippi and Kurara). Chippi really embraces the nickname and uses it instead of her real name.
Hi Mama Ai ! I am one of Japanese Tachibana Fan. Do you remember double cross formation in their performance ? In Chinese character, 10 is like cross shape, the formation is from October (10) 10.
Hi Mama Ai, thank you for uploading this performance. It was full of Energy. I don't know any of the nicknames of this Term of Tachibana. I wish for them good health, good fortune and happiness. Also, that the O-VILS are successful enough to have room for any members of these Terms (119,120,121) to join, should any wish to do so. " Hey! " 🍊🍊

The drum major is trombone player, Kihana-san, nickname "Creta." I think she will be remembered as one of the best in Tachibana history.
