This short video clip is Tachibana performing in front of the Taiwanese Madam President at the National Flag Day of Taiwan independence in Taipei . The kids were invited to perform all week by the president in Taiwan 🇹🇼 Japan 🇯🇵 relations. And as ambassadors these kids did a great job ❤ The future is bright the future is Orange 🍊
The band which played in the Tournament of Roses event in 2017/2018 was larger because it included alumni. It's not uncommon for bands who are invited to the Tournament of Rose Event to invite alumni to join. The KT members for this event was a little less than 1/2 alumni. The students from class 114, 115 and 116 were the current students for that year. At the Bandfest, you can see the two groups on the left and right when came across the field when being introduce, were the alumni groups. The for the most part only the members of the current class played the first songs. With the exception of the Percussion section, the Color Guard and the DM from class 113, alumni who participated from the beginning of the show. The Alumni joined after "It's a Small World", depending on which version of the Bandfest you view, in some of them, you can see the Alumni running onto the field at this time as they play the theme from Jurassic Park. At the actual parade, it was nice to see Drum Majors (DM) from multiple years leading the group. The lead DM, "R", in the parade, was from class 114. Behind her were the DM's from the recent alumni classes. From of 113, "P", behind her to the right, and from 112, "C", behind her to the left. Carrying the flag of Japan was the future DM from class 115, "O". Carrying the Green Band Association flag was the future DM from class 116, "P". Majority of the members on the edges were from the current student body at that time. For KT, the typical club member counts per class is usually in between the high 20's to the high 30's.
