@@DallasG83 Even now, I think those kids were pretty damn ungrateful. Even though one of them was actually the director's son who would go on to direct Afterlife and it was all just acting, that whole scene made me cringe just because of the kids.
I think it was a potshot at FILMATION, the company that made their own live action TV show called The Ghost Busters in the 1970s. They negotiated rights for the name for the film, but the FILMATION put out a cartoon series based on their old Ghostbusters show after the 1984 movie. That's why the cartoon based on the movie was called The Real Ghostbusters, as both a way to distinguish itself from the FILMATION show and deliver a potshot to it

Ray was always his best in the first film. Had this really wholesome quality to him.
