I bought 2 smart phones, 4 power banks, 1 power strip which can controlled by smart phone, 1 electric cooker , 1 router , and 1 earphone pro. And they are much cheaper to buy in China.
And it's important to both understand Chinese and English.😀

People always said the bad quality of Xiaomi,, the thing is we live in smart era where the features that we need is a gadget integrated.. For example the IR Blaster that we use from Xiaomi phone to control AC, TV, Fan, etc.. and the others Xiaomi gadgets such as desk lamp, car charger, even kettle help us to have a smart living lifestyle.

I’m also a xioami fan (albeit less than you - it seems) I have 3of their headphones, the mi android tv box, the mi band, 2 wifi repeaters, the Bluetooth/ wifi module, the yi cam, ordered the little USB powered fan. I’m thinking of picking up the robot vac and the air purifier when I get a house. I’m just disappointed that they don’t have direct channels to sell their products here. There are many scalpels that buy the products and want a crap ton on top to ship it to you (I tried to get my friend to buy it direct when he went to china and he had to use a 3rd party because all the stock as gone). Be sure to buy the global versions for their cameras as the international version is a pain to setup for people outside of China
Alongside meizu; xioami is my preferred cheap (and well made) tech device company

Wow, I can't believe that AC 5GHz router is only $30. That's something I'll definitely buy. For that price I could barely get a basic 1x5dBi antenna N router that has a range of a toddler's piss. I personally already have a few Xiaomi devices: Mi Note 4X, 10k mAh Power Bank and Mi Band 2. The speaker and the camera look really interesting too, but it's illegal to record video in my country and as for the speaker, I never listen to audio loud enough to justify buying a speaker. About the auto FM transmitter, I used to have a few of those $3 FM transmitters and they worked fine, except they occupy the whole port and you can't charge your phone (unless 500mA is what you call charging). Instead I bought a $2 cable adapter to AUX and now I'm waiting for another $4 aux to bluetooth adapter. Have I seen this video before, I would have instantly bought the FM transmitter. I still might, depending on how the one that I ordered now works. Thanks for the video, it helped me immensely

Great video, I just feel this brand presents good quality products to international markets, but here, in China, the quality it's degrading really fast. My wife has a Xiaomi 2, keeps working flawless. I got one new Xiaomi 5, the connectors and materials that it's made of, are horrible.

Since you're comparing wifi with bluetooth when talking about the lightbulb, you might not know that actually it doesn't connect directly. The lightbulb must be connected to wifi, but your controlling phone can be anywhere in the world provided it has internet connection. Yep, your request to turn it on and off, change colors, etc. are actually sent to their servers which is then forwarded to your devices (this applies to all mi home devices). This is both freaking and cool at the same time, might be a put off for some paranoid users. You can make your house like haunted when nobody's home but you play with the light and anyone passing by noticing :D

Just love the new power bank pro. The design and the price. But the problem is the output levels are fixed so if your phone supports 15W input (9V @ 1.67A) then it won't be supported and you will end up at the normal rate (5V @ 2A).
      Does any phones out there that support (9V @ 2A) or (12V @1.5A) ?
      Please share your opinion.

Remember to put alot of taxes on these if they ever enter the europe or US market. They will like hotcakes, and damaging other business. i got the Xiaomi Powerbank because it's cheap during the travel to Taiwan, the store is a copy of Apple store basically and the all the products on display are really well built and cheap. i didn't expect it to last because of the Made in China always fails after a few months....surprise surprise, almost 2 years and the Mi Powerbank are reliable and going strong.
Such a shame we don't have the store open up here, and i am pretty sure other companies will not be very happy if they do so.

In the last 3 years, I've bought 3 Xiaomi phones and 5 Mi Bands (as gifts and/or my own personal use).
And I couldn't ask for anything more. Best Bang for the Buck!
I used to be an Apple Fanboy. Have a Macworld Mag subscription; owned an iMac, iPhone, MacBook, and has an **x xx@mac.com email. But at these times, I see no pragmatic reason to stick it up with the Apple brand when other manufacturers could offer a comparable or indistinguishable quality and service. Affordable alternatives would even become more compelling when you consider the product's Price viz-a-vis its Expected Life/Usage (2 years for most electronic or chip-based products).
I still like Apple products though. But for all its worth, these are all electronic products. They depreciate sooo fast! It isn't like buying a Patek watch, if u get my drift.
